I'm actually loving blast on percision rifles of all things. Something to note about new blast procs, they go off under 3 different conditions. 1. They expire, dealing 30% damage to the main target. 2. They reach maximum stacks, and trigger a 5m explosion dealing 30% damage from each shot that inflicted a proc for ~300% damage. 3. The target dies, triggering a 5m explosion that deals 300% of the average damage between the procs. As you may have noticed, that third trigger scenario has a LOT more damage potential then the first two. Because of that, snipers and percision rifles with enough status chance can convert 1 big headshot into a 5m explosion with 0% falloff. I've been using this with a cannonade set-up on my prisma grinlok to turn it from a priority target rifle, into a room clearing menace.

In regards to your closing statement before explaining the build again, that was exactly what DE wanted with this status rework. They didn't want to topple the old meta, just give you more variety in building. In that regard, they succeeded.

5:15 looks like a bug where the AoE from the blast proc did self damage, killing you instantly

Blast seems like the best element for killing acolytes now, simply because it looks like it essentially bypasses their status resistance by exploding at *max* stacks, rather than 10 stacks specifically. On the flip side, cold still needs 10 stacks to actually freeze, which is balanced.

I'm so happy the status changes didn't directly nerf anything, and instead just enhanced the weaker stuff; all the old meta still works fine, but now we get even more to work with and once again they inadvertently buffed viral in the process by boosting enemy HP making it even more desirable

You could also try Convectrix, blast and slash procs could be pretty insane and it has a lot of status procs

I like how we're no longer forced to do crit-based builds for higher-level missions, and and more stuff is viable. You ought to try the Convectrix with electro-blast. It's also really fun, and it completely wrecks the Corpus. With its Beam Efficiency mod, it can easily go to over 200% status chance.

pst you should try a ready steel wukong slam build with the arca titron. The cloud animation cancels melee, so you can slam to your heart's content.

5:14 So blast proc self damage bug is not fully fixed, I guess.

I was on a phantasma prime kick a little while ago and got really obsessed with how many electric procs I could stack up on 1 guy. Then Lavos' augment came out and now I need to return to it.

5:14 There is a bug that in some cases makes Blast proc do self-damage. You vaporized yourself.

You've also got Primed Chilling Grasp, so if you don't want to run the Galvanized status mod you can put that in there for more blastiness.

If you will try sobek, try not only saryn, but also zephyr. When acid shells explosion hits tornado the damage is not flat HP %, it also calculates mods, installed in sobek. That makes acid shells able to crit and proc hunter munitions. And I haven't tried but I'm fairly confident that it will also proc blast, since it counts modded stats

5:14 there are some weird bugs in the game for sure, im getting these random 1 tap deaths for no reason. high armor high protection dmg reduction and such and still getting 1 tap. Also i got killed many times in operator void mode and also under Vazarin protective dash as well where im supposed to be dmg and status immune. -,- DE messed up something for sure.

After testing quite a lot, there is the thing with blast, you have two option when it is good, 1 is the weapon can stack the 10 stacks before the first one spires, 2 the weapon add at least one proc and kills the enemy in less than 1,5s, because the explosion from blast only happens at 10 stacks or enemy dying with at least one proc active, aside it it, the proc are only self damage on the enemy. but i still think it is too gimmick to be really good, need one mod to add 90%, faction is also recomended, armor gets in the way so find a way to remove and if you can have viral, then it become interesting, this all makes it so restrictive IMSO.

For Arcanes I like putting Primary Exhilerate on my Phantasma Prime. Afterall, if has forced Impact procs, already has good damage, and its a great utility for frames that have a little trouble getting their ammo up early. Combine with Nourish and it gets pretty silly.

With the blast rework now upon us, I recommend you to try the Scourge Prime again with blast and Rifle Elementalist. It's really good.

5:13 those damn corrupted crewmen and their shiny strun! But yeah they basically have a lot of dmg because of the multishot so they can one shot you after a certain level.

What could make this build a bit more funny is to run P Chilling instead of P Point Blank to make blast proc way more at the cost of some electricity and overall dmg

u should make a video on the new blast with saryn because toxic lash can actually proc from the blast explosion hits, it’s very deadly with roar and elementalist mods

Hmmm...this has given me some inspiration...the Dark Split-Sword has inherent radiation...maybe I go for a Melee Elementalist build and try Electricity and Blast? With my new Nautilus to Cordon and spread cold procs, Nourish on my Frost to add Viral and Melee Influence to spread the electricity procs, plus the rest of my Frost's kit ramping up crits even without the mods...I'd have to test it, but I think I'm on to something here!

So happy we have more options to build weapons!

eh... I'm gonna say this on your points on blast.. It isn't *as* good as you think it is for all weapons. You need decent damage to back it up akin to gas. It definitely works a treat on beam weapons but for non beam weapons it's kinda fighting against itself. Like a normal ass rifle. It'll just stagger and push mobs away from eachother while dealing not super high damage. Like kuva karak for example.. You slap that on and you're just kinda fighting against the blast for headshots and spreading the enemies out further because it's staggering them constantly. But there's also unexpected cases like sniper rifles that make excellent use of blast... Lanka, vulkar, And my personal favorite... *komorex* blast komorex is *fuuuuuun* But another unexpected source of blast fun.... Try it on excal's exalted chromatic blade. mix in furies javelin augment and wrathful advance and *maaaaaaaan* you're in for a fun time. Anything that cranks up damage is Blasts best friend akin to gas. Also electricy is also something you should play around with... Electricity unlike gas or blast scales with elemental mods. So the more electricity you add the harder it punches. And unlike heat it ticks very very fast. So it'll dump it's damage out faster then heat.

But the secondary is the whole reason to use the gun. Funny ragdoll > beam 😢

Tried it. Wasn't that great. I find the corrosive/heat melts much quicker. Blast is a cool gimmic I guess. It worked the best with tenet glaxion since the blast chains to other enemies for roughly the full damage
