Warframe Lore - The Creation of the Railjacks and Cephalon Cy's memories of the Old War! 

The rhyming spider is a sort of joke, probably. These large "spider proxy" bosses are called "Orb Mothers", so each one of them has a personality of a stereotypical mother (until you damage them enough to drive them mad). Profit Taker talks in rhymes and sings songs as if talking to a baby (I think she even referenced Itsy-Bitsy-Spider at one point), and Exploiter is very strict and always scolding everything and everyone like they are a disobidient child - smaller orbs, the Solaris, even you while you fight her.

And they're things that appear in the game. Unlike in Destiny, where the interesting parts are almost exclusively in the lore. Which is such a shame. In Warframe, you can't help but be fascinated by some of this just by playing and going "yoooo, what is that about." :-)

@@Lynch2507 A friend I got into the game recently felt it should be a super. And you know what, I agree. Valkyries already have more or less the appearence of a Sol ability, we already have similiar supers: Titan's Hammer of Sol, Warlock's (kind of) Dawnblade. Only think we may not have is enough space in which to put it on the screen... Also Hunter's don't realy have a ''single projectile, lots of damage'' kind of super. I mean Shadowshot is, but it isn't and I am not counting Golden Gun because it requires Celestial Nighthawk to fit the description. Warlocks have Nova Bomb and Titans have...well, themselves (Code of the Missile). I will take an exotic in the power slot, too. In the power slot, with little ammo; so that it doesn't end up getting nerfed just to be balanced.

Pin this comment: The lore of Ordis, or Ordan Karris, is old but very well done and often unnoticed by new players because of how hidden it is, but it reveals a lot about Ordis' past and Cephalons' orgins, especially now that these origins are being explored again with the new Nightwave - The Glassmaker. Speaking of which, Nightwaves are a great source of lore for these kinds of videos. We're only on the third one now but Wolf of Saturn Six and the Emissary of Erris make for excellent world-building.

A) That's not an Eidolon finger, or at least we have no hints that that is the case B) It's called "Unum", pronounced as "oonoom" or "oonum" C) The Janus key and the void key you found in the quest are two different void keys D) The void keys' only relation to the Unum is that both were made by the Orokin. E) The Man in The Wall is unrelated to the Unum (no more than it's related to anything that has anything to do with the void, at least) As much as I'd love the Unum to be explored further (metaphorically and literally) I don't see how any of the things you listed are related to it.

Look at it after the reveal cutscene, the fog in the canister clears almost entirely and you can clearly see the shape of a finger and a nail pointing towards the front of the ship

I know I am late, but they arent technically aliens, but Orokin made. Orokin are humans, though only those who was higher ups called themselves Orokin

Destiny has a specific entity for which its power is derived from, the Traveller. The power of Light is then fed through this conduit. The Darkness, our supposed enemy, seeks the Traveller. The fight to push back the Darkness is between two paracausal forces. In Warframe, we are beings from the Void and thus able to wield its power. While it can be distupted, it is innate within us and cannot be taken away. Our enemies are the Sentients, who seek to purge the Orokin as they have deemed them as corrupt or even a plague. They sought to eliminate them such that so they shall no longer desceate natural beauty. While the Old War is supposedly over, the Sentients still seem to deem the factions within the Origin system as their enemies. The reasoning behind this is flimsy, however. This is partly due to DE retconing/adjusting many key points.

@@magic_cfw Well, on that front, this is because while the sentients mainly wanted the orokin gone, they see both the grinieer (their clone armies), the corpus (greedy manipulative fucks that pretty much mimic the worst parts of the orokin) and the tenno (pretty much their wost nightmares made form) to be in dire need of extermination. In there eyes, it has been made clear that we are all guilty of existing and as such must be eradicated. As for the main diference story telling wise between the two games, is that while less impressive overall, the lore of warframe is actually delivered entirely within the game. This was something that i felt when i first played the D2 red war campaign when i was a new light. Much like in warframe, when you drop off the first mission, you get flung into a universe you don't know anything about, but you feel you are expected to know. However, destiy overall does a very bad job of laying down its elements within the game, with events, missions and whole sides of the lore being walled off and inacessible, only to be found on websites outside the game itself. Warframe also does that, with alad V's infestation events being no longer playable (thus a new player would see alad be infected in a quest and not understand why he is cured now) or frod beck, and some others, but overall the lore itself is fully contained within the game. For example, both destiny and warframe have an idea of a multiverse, that they use in order to justify you being "the one" while there is thoudands of "ones" running around in the city. While much less needed (and thus important) in warframe than in destiny, the place of the multiverse and who can interact with it (the quills) can be deduced from game elements alone. While in destiny, it is mainly refered to in lore books outside the game, with the exeption of the VEX, and even then the game does a poor job at explaining the vex understanding of the timelines and realities without the use of third party content. Overall, destiny's lore is impressive and one of my favourite, it is just a shame that it really does not feel like it when you actually play it.

I would say tenno. Since the warframe abilities are a lot stronger and are nearly infinte usable. While the Guardians are restricted at how fast they can use their abilities

fan written lore is good an all but if it doesn't connect "properly" its no different from dbz fan made shows imo is trash. how Does in-game lore have anything to do with Train Face on an ability he wants that's not gonna happen. people who are into the lore are connecting dots as we speak. we have stallord for that. if people cant into to warframe they sure aren't going to get into the Lore.

@@RedShadowOfSaturn Is it though? Is it really? What's wrong with Rahetalius? I personally think a lot of his opinions on Digital Extremes and the state of Warframe are valid. Plus, he did make a recent video about lore, so, it was a lot easier to reference than to write an essay on the subject that barely anyone is ever going to read.

@@infractal5033 Of course you feel that way. A lot of people look to him as a revolutionary that will lead the charge in holding DE to horrible practices and nepotism and corruption. Most of which are blown way out of proportion and only serve to make people into conspiracy theorists than actual critics. Plus, most of his "criticisms" are full of memes, most of which don't accurately represent the game. He's a jaded vet in a sea of jaded vets that have beaten the game and are wondering why they're not still pleased. Gee. I wonder why. Couldn't be because NO live service game adequately meets the unreasonable expectations it implies, and Warframe is actually better because it actively tries to NOT addict people. But Rahetalius will never tell you that. DE bad. Truth is, he should've moved on a long time ago, but...his answer to that? A Tyler1 gif claiming he's "addicted." Riiiiiiiight...

And yes, while Rahetalius takes radical stances on issues within the game, it is, from what I can tell, all with goodwill to help the game develop... Plus, memes are kinda everywhere, there's no rule saying they shouldn't also be used to impart a stance on an issue, however trivial. I was wondering how long it would take me to encounter a jaded *SJW* via warframe and it's creators, I'm muting this because there's no need to disrespect people over their views and opinions. which its fine i wouldn't say rushed, i would say summarized , the whole point of Cy existing and why he doesn't seem fit. its about Cy because he is the one that will progress through future quest
