It's been a while since I updated my Volt builds so I thought maybe it was time for a fresh paint on the old classic! The build here is a generalist build, a good foundation for any specialization! Want more speed, drop range for strength, want more nukes, drop duration or range, and so on. Also apparently Volt is one of the most played Warframe in the game, which I suspect is primarily due to Speed, one of the best utility ability in the game, right next to Roar, and even more importantly, it's a squad buff ability! I mean, think about it, what's better, you on Guass, just cleared the entire relic run exterminate mission, still got to wait at extraction because the other 3 are still wandering around or you on Volt, you sped up your entire squad, cleared the map and you're still waiting at extraction because other 3 can't handle the speed and keep walking into walls and falling off the map! The latter is objectively more hilarious! Also Volt was my first Warframe and Rhino Prime my first primed Warframe! Do you remember yours?
Although towards the video I would not have any of the late game stuff. But the way you broke down volt and how to effectively use him/ play him and the factors that contribute to survivability was great information. And I’m thankful. Definite sub and I’ll go check out some old volt videos you said you posted
You can use "Capacitance" Augment mod for his 4th instead of "(Prime) Redirection" because it gives overshields. It boosts the survivality because it regenerates the shields almost instandly plus the cc stun after casting the ability helps a lot.
Wow i really love this video been trying to perfect my Volt for a while and this video really offers some great visuals and explains things very well. I love it
I use a similar build for overall gameplay. Wasn’t a big fan of terrify bc of its animation and how well it fit the theme I was going for so pillage felt better not only for armor strip but also survivability. I personally have as much strength needed to full strip for my build to guarantee I can maximize discharge’s damage and I can still weapons platform with my weapons and be extremely fast. Glad to see more people using it. Good video.
I use Terrify as my go to AOE armor strip. I offload some strength to Molt Augmented too. I use the Augment on Volt's 4th to replenish my shield. Basically the more they come, the easier for me to stay alive, and my squad too. Great for Void Cascade and Lua Voruna Survival missions, oh, and the Netracells too. Oh and I use Unairu (weird I know) to shield and armor strip if needed, they can buff Operator dmg for Void Cascade too, just not as strong as Madurai.
@@ihatescamo the "core" mods are Archon Stretch, Capacitance, Prime Flow and Prime Continuity. You just need enough strength to 100% strip the enemies. I hate that Pillage scale with duration in a weird way.
Definitely a good and versatile build. You can adjust it according to your needs. A while ago I came up with something similar but i used arcane guardian, aegis and capacitance for survivability, 265+ range and left only 200-220% str which is just enough for elite onslaught and arbitrations. But still I've learnt something that will make my final build even better, thanks!
I've referenced building volt off of this video, although I've come to a few conclusions on my own that may be helpful to some people out there - if you put on [Corrosive Projection], the needed strength to fully strip enemy armor with one cast will be at 328%, I have reached that with the heavy investment of five tauforged crimson archon shards, this can be furthered decreased if you use [Coaction Drift] to what I found to be the realistic threshold of 318%. Using [Blind Rage] makes casting abilities often quite unrealistic, so that's why I think it's important to reach a point where you can armor strip with 1 cast to reach both QOL and also a more sustainable energy economy. Be aware though that you will need to use an Aura forma on volt to make this viable, hope someone makes use of this
I wouldn't take it to VC (assuming you want to farm it for as long as possible). This build gets outscaled once you reach certain level, where tanking with Adaptation + CC isn't optimal and where you need Rolling Guard + Vazarin school instead to survive.
The day I finally have arcane energize I feel like warframe is going to be a totally new game, so many builds I can't use cause everybody uses that flipping arcane lmao
That arcane and PRIMED SURE FOOTED EVERYWERE lol, two items that most don´t have. One is expensive af to buy if you can´t spam farm eidolons and the other is login-gated.
@@kurok1tenshi bro fr I'm mostly playing knockback inmune frames so I don't need prime sure footed lmao. This is partly why Rev is so freaking popular.
switch out molt efficeincy for molt augmented, and switch umbra intensify for primed continuity, then your build will be better, why? umbra intensify only gives 44% str and molt augmented gives60%, molt efficiency only give 36% dur but prime continuity give 55% constant understood?
VOLT REIGN SUPREME There are reasons why volt is the most used warframe in the universe. I m using Shock Trooper max str built to rain jupiter on fools!
FUN FACT, there is exactly ONE situation you don't want speed in your team: to my knowledge the baruuk glitch where his attacks get all screwed up if he ever breaks a certain attack speed never got fixed :(
Ive been playing many different volt builds this last week solo an yet to find one that feels comfortable to use regardless the mission. Until now. Im what you would call a dumb player so what kind of companion are people using here? And weapons? Are there any BiS? Edit: forgot to actually thank you for all your effort on explaining the functions of the build :') very good video.
Hi, I've been using this build for a couple of hours and man is it great! Thanks! BTW I know it's stupid but how do you see the damage numbers while using volt's discharge? I don't see any numbers and enemies just get stuned and if low level they just die. Do you know which setting helps with this?
I'm a little confused about the partial armor strip Pillage setup. Based on your explanation the sequence would be: partially strip with Pillage, cc with Discharge, fully strip with Pillage, kill with Discharge. With Terrify the sequence would be: full strip with Terrify, kill with Discharge. Wouldn't that be preferable? Or am I overlooking something?
You'd be casting both roughly the same amount of times, partial strip Pillage means that, when the second wave comes, they've already been stripped partially, so the next cast would be a full strip, Terrify would only take just 1 less cast to full strip the *first* wave aka the enemies in front that were out of discharge's range
No, shieldgating got nerfed iirc, now the bigger the shield pool the longer the invulnerability lasts, no more 150 shield immortal builds and it promotes shields to be played how they were intended.
I have this build as well from your video, very great, can solo pretty much anything at this point XDDD but what archon shards would be the best on this build? Any ideas?
Highly recommend Arcane Steadfast. Much cheaper and farmable without rng f’ing you up. You can also pair it with Zenurik’s passive as well as Mystic Bond mod. With all three of these you’ll never run out of energy - even with Arcane steadfast alone - not to forget Archon Stretch and Zenurik Wellspring should provide you with constant energy anyways. The only downside to this approach is directly interferes with Augur Set’s bonus albeit you’ll already have plenty of shields anyways. For overkill, you can use one Violet shard as a mini-equilibrium alternative as well as one Amber shard that gives bonus energy during energy orb pickups. The rest three are flex slots.
