Absolutely my favorite battle reports! You never cease to amaze me with how articulate and fun you make the reports. I love the little extra fluff thrown in there as well. Keep it up girl! You rock!
I don't play Warmachine but I've been a 40k fan for years. This style of reporting is exactly what I've been looking for, but unable to find, in 40k games and was very entertaining to watch. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for putting these videos together. They look great, are super informative, very well played and the effort you put into post production is fantastic. Especially the jack damage and feat popups. Don't worry that they take a while to put up. A good whisky takes time to mature and should be given time to breathe in the glass. Thats how I view these, like a fine single malt, worth the wait and to be savoured!
You have done it again . These are the best Battle reports I have ever seen . I also want to say Congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers and by the way did anyone get in contact with you from Privateer Press ?
I really look forward to these bat-reps coming out and appreciate the time and effort that you put into them - it shows in the quality of presentation and narration. Thank you!
This is the first Batrep I have seen and it is amazing. It almost makes me want to start playing Warmachine! The narration and the editing (and yourself) :p) is all beautiful!
I am glad to see a battle report with out a full field of pro painted minis ... I just started and don't have a lot of extra time so I have some painted and some partialy painted and a lot of unpainted units . I have been looking at trying Khador right now all I have are a few Cygnar units , I like the look of the Mercs and Khador
My 9 year old son is excited to start playing his Khador starter army. He especially liked the end of the video when he got to see that Khadoran War Dog. Ferocious looking dog! :)
I must say, I am rather impressed with your battle reports. Just discovered you just a little while ago and already one of my favorites. Was just curious as to how long you have been playing and how large your collection is. Not at all a criticism, I just like to see some of the less common casters (at least in my Meta) like Zerkhova or the Old Witch. Keep up the good work!
Great battle reports. Very entertaining and easy to follow. Extra points for great pronunciations, explaining what each models do and using their full names. Look forward to more.
great batrep as always. I liked how you explained everything and the damage grid you put up on the videos are awesome. Love the war dog at the end, very intimidating. :)
Unless it was updated later in an FAQ the Mark II rules only state you can't score control points during the first round of the game. I know the Steamroller rules are specific in that you cannot score until the end of the second players second turn - but I don't think that applies in this scenario.
Awesome video! I love the commentary and the explanations. However, I do have a query about the scenario. The rules state "A model holds the point if it ends its controlling players turn overlapping a point marker." and later on "A player scores one point for each point marker held." Would that mean that you can only score points on your turn, since you can only hold a point at the end of your turn? (I'm new to this, and feel that this might arise in the future for me.)
You set the standard for battle reports. I've watched several other youtubers BR's and they don't even come close to yours. The quality, production, and narration are all top notch. I have subscribed and eagerly await more videos. Also have you considered looking into a Warmahordes themed background? Like a poster or a display case full of minis. I always thought they look nice and added a "official" look to the videos.
Great battle as always. I love the style of your batreps. You have me thinking of playing Khador more and more. Keep up the good work. Are you thinking of maybe doing a hordes army and who would it be?
Just finished watching all the videos. Very good and well narrated. The flow is very good and bird's eye view of the battle field after each turn adds to the excitement as the armies get closer to clash against each other. Keep up the good work. I wish there was more battle reps like this. I imagine it takes a lot of time to edit the videos to your content?
Don't apologize for needing time to make a high quality battle report. I love them and have to say, that your batreps are among the best out there. Also it's refreshing to see a Warmachine game won by scenario. Me and my buddies have started using a few house rules in our games to be able to continue playing after a CK, cause after 5 games in a row in which my Warpwolf Stalker rushed in there and ripped his caster to shreds, the Caster-Kill mechanic started to get on MY nerves.
Really clear, making it fun to watch. Loved it, hope you keep doing more. Been playing the hell out of hordes at the moment, maybe 20 games under my belt with Legion of Everblight. Hoping to start doing some local tournament stuff, but realise I barely know what other army's can do since I'm always playing Khador or Troll players. Never seen Retribution in action before so this was really interesting.
I love the way u do your battle reports they r very interesting. I like how u can see whats going on.I'm fairly new to the hobby and these help a lot. Thank You
First of all, thank you!! Why? Because I'm planning to pick up khador as my warmachine faction and after seeing your Breps i realized how great WGI deathstar is with pVlad, was going to go with MoWs! Just a quick question, why no Drago?
Quality report as always. Good play by both! Just as a tactical tip: Due to a repair of 7, there is (thanks to the laws of probability) no mathematical reason to ever do assisted repairs. And, as correctly pointed out, any attack performed with the devastator opens it up.
You have the best Warmachine Battle reports on youtube. Great edits and narration. I hope more are forth coming. Oh and fear that Khador War Dog at the very end.
I think you're playing Steamroller scenarios. I should have clarified that for this video I took the scenario from the Prime MKII rulebook. The only requirement for scoring in this case is "when the only models with bases overlapping the marker are his" - pg. 90. Mercenaries would be fun to play against, I'm sure that will happen soon enough. Right now I'm working on a battle against.Hordes.
Fantastic battle reports, I've learnt a thing or two about how to clearly represent a game by watching these videos. Our battle reports look like a right mess in comparison. Keep it up.
I liked the previous BatRep where you gave your thoughts on the army designs afterward. Love these things... Don't even play Warmachines and love them.
nice battle report, I like the descriptive commentary, one query I have is that when the devastator made the rain of death attack I believe its arm should have dropped to 17 until it next activated, this happens when it makes an attack, not specifically a melee attack so surely RoD would drop its arm as it has to open its arms up to unleash the grenades like it says in its fluff?
Haven't played Warmachine/Hordes at all, but i am looking at giving them a go, because it looks like great fun, and these Batreps are really well produced and easy to follow, so you have earned yourself 1 more subscriber today :)
Hey, great battle reports! Keep them coming. I was just wondering, in most of the missions I have played, to score an objective with a unit, you have to have a model in base to base with it, and then the rest of the models in the unit have to be within a certain distance of the objective (I think it's 4", but not certain). I just ask because it looks like the WGI were spread out quite a lot on your turn 2. Great report, would be awesome to see a mercenary one if you can find a player!
Easily the best battle reports I've ever seen. The way you explain everything while its happening is something everyone else on youtube should learn to do. The visual damage is also really great. I'm wondering why you didnt move one or two of the winter guard to the left side of the building to fire at the battle mages on the objective. Then the winter guard might not have been nearly wiped out on the next turn. It seemed like they'd be in range, but its hard to tell on a video.
Yay!! Finally. Another great Battle Report. The small tricks you both use help me understand the game dynamics a lot better. Who knows, maybe one day your BatReps help me defeat my opponents without them doing sincere errors...
good report! i like the quality you put into this vid. word of advice: not everyone would know what that scenario is, so a simple description at the beginning may make some sense of it. otherwise, i am loving this series of reports and look forward to your next one! :D (scenarios are good fun!)
awesome battle report as per usual! one thing tho when the devestator makes a rain of death attack it is a special action attack thus his armour drops to 17 till his next activation, and also it looked like some of those mages were within 3 inches of him when he did rain of death.
Hm. Two problems with the first Force Hammer damage roll. First off, the Devastator attacked, so it should be ARM 17. Second, it should have been four dice: one for Rahn's feat and one for colliding with a model of greater or equal size. But of course no harm done. Um, pun unintended.
I was wondering, If you are planning have you looked at the Winterguard Field Gun? Under Sign & Portents it is truly a terrifying model. Also a better target for Joe's ''For the Motherland!" as it can now pressure most casters. :)
I just haven't picked him up yet. :) He seems like a powerful jack and his back story is great. I think it would be fun to run an all Berserker list with Vlad sometime.
Marcus should brush up on his rules. The Juggernaut was teleported out of melee by Rahn, so no free strikes. And she was rolling three dice for damage because of Signs & Portents, with an additional dice denoting the column hit; nothing wrong with that.
Hmm you don't seem to put your Manhunter into any combat except for one battle report, is she just an observer or just bait? ;) I like the way you do the battle reports, nicely explaining every detail in a way that keeps it interesting.
Love the batreps! Very well done. I'd like to see you use more different models in the future. While WG is usually a must, I'd love to see some different units like some doom reavers, and my personal favorite the great bears. Maybe some different casters too! Keep em coming!
Awesome battle report as always, I don't have my book on hand at the moment. Though I'm 90% sure that you can't start scoring victory points until the end of the second players second turn. Not the end of the first players second turn. Which means it would of made a big difference in victory points.
Not that i'm a Scyrah player or anything, but isn't Power Booster's RNG only 3"? So in Turn 2 the Griffon would have been out of range? At any rate, this is still great, I love these videos, keep them up!
im not familiar with this scenario but in most scenarios dont points get scored after the second players second turn? i love your reports, and love your graphics. i do think it is funny she only posts te battels she wins, but it is khador (showing some love to my first faction). the Ret player wasted too many models the wat he deployed.
Side note: as a general rule, I don't charge my heavies unless I need to cover the distance. With POW 19 against ARM 20 you are better served with an extra attack than a boosted one.
Just a note, Devastator has only ARM 19 after using Rain of Death (or any other attack) until the beginning of its next activation. Good cast though. Keep it up!
i think you would love the kayazy's too. but the Vlad feat/ boundless charge is a great way to shock someone that is used to how slow khador jacks can be. try that with a jack with bulldoze too = caster kill
Quick tip: If you don't need the extra 3", you should never charge, as boosting the damage can also be done for 1 focus and you don't waste it if you miss. Especially in this case, boosting damage nets you 3.5 extra damage on average, while an extra attack would net you 6 on average.
LOL SO many whiners. It's just a game and I doubt money was at stake. Good lord. Friends and such can bend the rules however they want if they agree. OHH MY GOD OHH MY GOD. They didn't play it right. Ohh the agony....
We had a person like that as a guest at our D&D session. He sort of freaked out over rules. When he looked around the table for confirmation he must have heard crickets. We don't care, it's a game, was fair/consistent with outcomes, and most importantly we were all having fun until his outbursts. I think the D&M smacked him down with a 'rule' from the book that any rule the D&M makes trumps whatever is written in the rules
2 things, first Killing Fields is also a steamroller scenario, though it's called incursion, which is why the confusion. Second, if you're playing the Mark II rules, you'll notice that you only score victory points at the end of YOUR activation. You do not score VP at the end of your opponent's activation as well. The way you played it makes it a faster game though.
thats if the P+S is the same the targets ARM. it is also easier to hit once than twice, and it depends on how many wounds the target has. I do agree with your expanation though. it is a good insite
Good Report! You played with my 2 favorite armies, I think Skyrah didn't use battle mages and Magisters to their full potensial. Anyway, looking forward to the next report (hopefully to 50pts!)
Yea that Jack can't charge w/o dealing with the disruption from eyriss. I saw a few other flaws in movement. Stormfall archers have a spd of 5, and you had them run 12 inches.
Only know the Steam Roller rules. I apologize then. Seems near impossible for the second player to contest for points by the end of player one's first turn. Pretty much meaning whomever goes first gains a couple easy control points. Interesting. Looking for to seeing more Battle Reports from you. Best out there I find. Wish they were all like this.
im not sure if anyone ells mentioned (they might have) but i believe the fist shot from eirys should have done 3 auto dam to a column of her choice to her warjack target.
