Totally agree. WG is in on this. They are making money on this ! And thats why they dont do anything to stop this.

It's absolutely clear - WG are doing nothing because they are either running the boosting companies, or taking a cut. This is part of their business model...

As Sherlock Holmes would say, when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Therefore, War Gaming is either taking kickbacks or is the boosters themselves.

It wouldn't shock me if they boosting companies were or are financially linked to WG

One of WG biggest CC's (QB) exposed cheaters once. He seemed legit pissed about it, but then WG (who help sponsor him) said for him to "nip it" do not bring this up again. He never has since then. . Only one CC continues the fight for us, Claus Kellerman. Long live Claus 🤘😎

Thank you for bringing this up consistently Claus, been following you for years. This is the Most important thing that needs to be addressed in this game, and Wargaming feel complicit with the rigging and cheating.

WG is doing the boosting directly. They will never ban this.

I used to love playing all the World of games, but lately have been struggling to get a 50% win rate because of things like this. At one point I was posting some of my good games on a youtube channel, but have been so disgusted with the games lately that I stopped posting. I have even been thinking about not only quitting the games, but actively discouraging everyone I know from playing these games. Ty for looking into this. Until I hear from honest people like you that Wargaming is actively doing something to stamp out this issue I will continue to actively discourage everyone I can from playing any and all games made by Wargaming.

Claus, when I finished watching this video on my phone just now, I was immediately hit with add from the Team Raptor boosting Company. It was like WG and Game Riggers were giving you a big middle finger. Thanks for all the hard work you've invested into this for the community.

Hey Claus - Not to diminish the ruinous nature of the game rigging itself, and the likely complicity of WG in the practice, I feel the CC community except yourself of course also shares a significant portion of the blame for the lack of any action to stop this cheating. If the major CCs were to speak out against these boosting companies loudly and often WG might be pressured to take some action. SILENCE IMPLES CONSENT!

Im pretty sure WG is doing 2 things: Making money from boosting companies, and laundring money (and/or giving precious € and $ to the russians). The level of opacity and corruption of this company is awesome...

I always watch how the game goes after my demise. Occasionally I learn something, but I just want to see how it turns out.

I have recently had a ton of games impacted by what I can only assume is rigging. I would spawn in and there would be an EBR 105 on each team because that is the way tier 10 works now. Usually I think nothing of it when my EBR yolos in and dies in the first 30 seconds but I had it happen 3 times in a row the other night and each time the EBR player said the same thing "sorry I disconnected" and then they would leave the game. When I see that once I just kind of shake my head but 3 times in a row and it seems more like a canned response from a rigging company or bot. It seems odd until you think once in a while these guys are going to land in a game with each other on a good light tank map and if one team has a light and the other doesn't it is basically a free LT15 mission.

WG employees makes sense. Making side money for sure.

I have sent a couple of tickets concerning this to WG NA. Getting no response or a canned answer was not surprising. When is comes to chat banning, however, they are on the edge of their seat!

I think we need to take some action as a community. Perhaps a 24hr period where we don’t play the game but all send in tickets stating why we are refusing to play. This could be increased if we still got no response from WG. 😮

I have just googled for boosting service. Mostly russian based. Pretty expensive. Not expensive enough to make a living (time consuming tasks) - I can imagine that sweatshops are involved. Or just really poor/broke russians etc. But none of them seem to use the method that is mentioned in the Video. At least they claim that for certain services you have to pay more because it will be unicums that will play. Since these (video) are all (most likely) hacked accounts - I am convinced for that huge number, employee's are involved. Otherwise they are all sold - but I doubt it. To prevent a crackdown on this - involvement of employee's is almost a must. I worked in a BPO/Callcenter myself. For that level there must be higher management be involved. That is not the work/help of just a regular Ivan on the lowest job position. That's for sure.

@Claus Here's a thought for you - Wargaming as a company is judged by how many active players they have. What if, since we know war gaming has invested in bot technology, they themselves are using accounts that are old and obviously abandoned as bots to prop up their failing game? 🤔 Think about it.

Wargaming doesn't care about this, matter as fact I think they make money off it. If they didn't and they cared they would've already at least said something. But this must be happening primarily on EU cus I do 20-30 games every day on NA and have yet to run into any of this.

There are quite a lot of rigged battles recently, even here on the EU server. Very few CCs mention that topic in their channels. Skill lately even said he doesnt really care about it... The compromised accounts are most likely sold by WoT employees to the boosting companies. They seem to check inactive accounts with Tier 10 vehicles and offer them to those boosting companies. I lately got into more and more high tier battles where platoons did 0 damage, it's really destroying the game ...

I've given up playing the game. But I still watch claus because he's entertaining. Now when wargaming fix this. And claus says it's safe now. It's fair now. Then I may start playing again.

We know that East Europe, Baltics, many in Asia have a sh^t culture where corruption is a big part of their culture. It is to be expected. In many of these countries Yes might not mean yes. It might mean maybe, or yes under certain circumstance, or even no. When we saw this game came out of Belarus and Russia we should have never started playing. WG has to be helping these companies, or ARE running some of them, to get access to these old accounts.

I've been seeing a lot of inactive players but as soon as you ping the map they head to exactly where you ping. If you change where you ping, they change directions. I probably have a replay of it somewhere. Most likely bots.

I think one of the models is to stuff new fake accounts with wn8 and reward vehicles and sell on. It's not just boosting.

This is happening in lower tiers as well. Played Lakeside in my Matilda and went up the valley. good fight and then noticed that the ones who went to the city had all been killed. I returned to defend the base and fought like hell but was overwhelmed. Got high calibre and lost. checked the ones who had scored most for the enemy on wotlabs and they were reactivated accounts. The ones in the city on my side did zero damage. Not the first time I have seen this happen and I am getting fed up with it.

Not surprising to see clans doing this. They trying to get those reward tanks to use in the clan wars... Wargaming keeps pretending nothing is going on.

I had a WOT rigging firm advertise on my timeline of Facebook. These firms are blatant and WG does nothing. When I sent a game I thought was rigged to WG, they told me that there were processes in place to detect them and to not bother them with replays again!

Why are WG not doing anything about game rigging? Because WG employees are selling the dormant accounts. Too many abandoned accounts are involved in this scam. Someone is selling the accounts to the boosting companies. They are not purchasing them on E-Bay. WG does not want to expose the internal fraud that is ongoing as it would affect the share price / value of the company. So they ignore the problem. I stopped playing this game a while ago but I'll be damned if my account gets sold to the highest bidder. I check in every 2 months, do the game updates, play a couple of matches then leave. They can sell someone else account ... but not mine. Thank you for highlighting this issue Mr Kellerman.

They should add a match manipulation option under complaints to at least flag these accounts. Enough complaints and they can pull up the recent battle results and investigate.

This is exactly why I stopped playing the game: It's just not fun anymore. Shitty riggers, shitty tube maps, shitty OP tanks and a company doesn't caring at all. It's so sad, because I used to love this game and put a lot of time (and money) in it.

I remember from the beta days of the game, when you finally unlocked the IS-7, you couldn't afford any more ammo. In your video, the accounts are from the years 2012 - 2013. It occurs to me that these are exactly the kind of free to play accounts that have received a couple of good tanks, but the owner has given up on them because there has been no more ammo. Although the game is so-called free-to-play, so to succeed you have to spend real money on ammo to penetrate enemy tanks and thus win battles.

A member of my clan had his account hacked, his account had been inactive for a year. When he tried logging on he couldn’t. It took him over 6 months to get his account back. It seems that all these old accounts that get hacked into and then are used by these boosting services.

Saw an advert on here for a company called Team Raptor offering to boost players stats

Since the RU server came over to the EU server the overall gameplay has gone down the toilet. I don't stay until the end of battles but I do look at the post-battle stats. The number of players with zero damage, no shots fired, and very little distance traveled has gone through the roof. I'm not pointing fingers here but it doesn't take a genius to work out the obvious change in the demographic of the server that has contributed here...? Thanks Claus, I appreciate your efforts.

I am glad you are exposing these as holes. The big streamers dont think its a problem because if they do, it will spill the gravy train. Wargaming wont do anything about these cheaters, but be 400m from some as hole that got pushed off a ledge and you get banned for 3 days.

Your request about who it would upset reminded me of, here in the states, oddly, the gun control fight. Where gun control really doesn't affect the criminals, who will always get their guns and not worry about legally having/carrying, but rather control the law abiding and preventing them from getting guns. How does it apply directly - I don't know. But it has that twisted logic about criminal and boosters. Those in authority don't care about the peons, they still have theirs, so why rock the boat and do the right thing. Edited side question: who are the people reporting the cheaters to you, Claus? Are they primarily the free players (therefore WoT loses nothing ignoring them) or is it payers?

It's not that WG are having issues with identifying these accounts. It's much simpler than that. They don't care.

I've played for 8 years to this, had enough a year ago when I started to noticed rigging like this one, actually confirmed 100% by a Serbian guy with whom I used to play platoons quite often, he payed to boost his account, even sent me the link of the "company" offering the service, couldn't believe it... I started playing less and less, until I totally left the game couple of months ago. Best thing I ever did for my mental health...

How much do a boosting company charge for the 279E? WG could sell it half the price these companies charges, it will make their business plan useless and WG would get those incomes back while getting rid of these cheaters.

I just seen a youtube ad for a boosting company. It literally said "Stop grinding and start playing". I couldn't grab the link because it was an add but I am sure someone else either has seen it or will see it very soon. I honestly think WG is getting paid by these bigger boosters to let this happen.

I've had several games over the years like this. I did stay in the game for some and, have looked later for others. You have a good point here. Hope WG does something.

So here's a question for you Claus (and everybody else) are the clans associated with the cheaters active or dead clans? Are the rest of the clan dead accounts or have they moved on?

Wargaming HAS TO KNOW more information than any of us... Common denominator type information like IP addresses, email accounts, recent simultaneous new premium tank purchases (setting up the new boosted account), etc. Whatever we know, they know more... and STILL, they do not act!

Tier 10 in this game is a complete 💩show.

And this is one of the reasons why I rarely play tier 10 games. The other is the cost to play at tier 10, it is pretty much a loss on every battle.

Hi Claus. For the first time I saw this style of cheating in WOT Blitz the other day. 2 Platoons - 1 on each team - 3 tanks of the four did absolutely nothing - one got crazy high damage. - I called it out in game. - I checked the stats of the tanks in question. - They were in tier 10 but all the accounts were less than 1000 games. - All dummy accounts.

Not played one game since January, it's almost pathetic, there were times when I entered battle and in 3 seconds my tank was blown up, 6 tanks AFK, cheating, bots etc. I check on RU-vidrs to see if they fix some of the problems from time to time and then I might play.

It seems like this is something that happened low key for quite a while. Clan members & friends helping each other out a little. Now it's entirely out of hand & wg just doesn't know how to get it back under control. Take the need for immediate gratification (without putting forth any effort) & add some greed = here we are

Follow the money. How do the boosting companies get hold of these old dormant accounts. The only people who know this information are employees at WG and the stats websites that WG supply info to. Why would they stop the cash cow, the amount people spend on the game is reducing due to the falling economies around the world and the actual game itself being reduced to 5 minute walk overs. They are trying to maximise income before it finally dies, allegedly!

I'm a beta tester... I've been saying this for a long time and I've been ridiculed on the forums when I say this... now you're showing everyone how dirty this company is and why I stopped spending money on this game I love after 11 years...

I have played wot pretty much everyday for the last few years but for the past month i have played it like 2 times.. It is SO much better not having to stress out because of other peoples ignorance and I am seriously in a better mood. It is INSANE to play a game that only puts you in a bad mood, lol.

I've had RU-vid ads for boosting companies. There's no way WG isn't aware of the situation. They're allowing it and likely profiting from it

It IS pretty common to have a couple of team-mates AFK at the start of a battle ... for about 3-5 seconds. Hell, I've poped in just as everyone else has already started to move. BUT ... when a bunch of tanks are AFK for longer that that .... ?????

Tier 8, 9 and 10 games will start to be avoided by players 😢

I can't believe the lengths people will go to, including PAYING to cheat, just to get ahead in a VIDEO GAME!

Mind blowing WG has not taken any action or even acknowledges whatsoever that this is obviously going on, where there is smoke there is a fire. Me thinks there should be a day or more to boycott the game, as a community we can stand together and send the message that we want to see action.

This is happening alot in tier 8-10 battles is so frustrating . how can you win a game when 1/3 zero damage.

It's quite possible that 10 to 20% of the player base would disappear if the old accounts aren't recycled and farmed in pub battles. What I find more frequently nowadays are noob high stats players, individuals who have clearly purchased their tank and learning to play.

The boosting companies have to have hundreds of accounts at there disposal. If they only had a handful the number of games per month for each compromised account would have to be higher.

I never play tier 10 anymore. Mostly tier 6 now. F Wargaming.

I play on SEA server and can verify that the 2 players named at the 7min' mark indeed have wrecked games I've been in. SEA (ANZ & HK) are not big servers, so some names come up repeatedly and when I see the same type of results, game after game, by the same player time after time....I start to take notice

I'm still convinced that wargaming is giving ID and password information for inactive accounts to the boosting companies for a fee.

WeeGee would be upsetting themselves because if they clear the old, forgotten accounts, if they clear the hacked accounts it would actually give a true representation of the level of interest. And that interest might not be as strong as they want it to be. Anywhere near as strong as they want it to be.
