Imagine something giving you 200 hours of fun and you are still to cheap to support the developers at full price

What Mechanics bogged down the game? I felt like it did what advance wars did but better. But I am a little biased because I like fantasy

There's no need to play the original Wargroove before WG2. It's designed to be suitable for both veteran Wargroove players and new players alike to jump in and feel comfortable regardless. The story campaigns are completely new adventures, but there's some nice lore references that players of the original will enjoy.

Commanders is what makes difference in factions. What war grid based games don't do that?

Mechanically, it seems like it's some sort of "melee" anti-air unit, like the Anti-Air Tanks in Advance Wars.

Nothing about the game is woke there was almost no story in the first one it's just cartoony like the old advance wars

Two different companys make those games this is a little indie company that was upset that there hadn't been any new advanced war games so they decided to make their own and this is what they made. The game is absolutely fantastic you should definitely try the first one

@@antonim8714 fractions are reskins to keep the game competitive balanced same thing was done on advance wars. If you add too much diversity there are too many variables which make the game one-sided. This game is more like chess. As for it being a good game it literally made all of its money for development in 3 days sold over a million copies on steam alone and was so successful they even made DLC. The game was loved by most of the community due to its competitive and balanced tactical combat.

@@catcowboy6376 How it cannot have a perfect balance if nobody implement any difference between copy-paste factions? In AW at least characters had passive skills but for me personally it's not much enough, here there is no difference at all. 200% lazy game design with 0 tries to create an interesting variety between different factions. Yeah community can masturbate but the same happens now with Starfield. Let's make Starfield game of the year, bc big studio just made a game :) They didn't ever try to creater an interesting tactical combat, and make it for example faster for the nowaday times, but no, they just copied idea and make it worse lol. In pseudo fantasy childish world. Damn campaign in W1 was so cringe. It's ok if you have no expectations but damn, it was a really bad and boring game.

@@antonim8714 of course you're entitled to your opinion but from every financial standpoint the game was a very big success that's why it had sequel. Starfield whether you want to admit it or not has also been a financial success and has broke records for the amount of players, playing it at once. Personally after putting in almost a hundred hours into I've enjoyed it immensely. Does that mean there aren't issues? Sure there's always issues especially with big open worlds. But the story is actually much better than previous elder scroll in fallout titles. The gameplay is above-average in the game only gets better and better over time. The main drawback I guess would be that it takes too long to introduce game-changing mechanics and there's too many loading screens. But I have more than gotten my money's worth out of it and so has my wife. The UI has some issues and the map is pretty bad. But the actual RPG elements or incredibly good and I've yet to feel bored. I just think your taste is different than other people's and honestly I don't think you're a big tactical RTS fan. But all tactical rts games have the same characters with an order to keep the game balanced. There aren't many of these games around but advance wars is another one that did the exact same thing. As for starfield I don't think you probably actually play the game and if you did you played it for a very short period of time. Or just might not be your thing, that doesn't mean the game isn't good it just means that you don't enjoy it which you're perfectly within your right to do. No one is forcing you to spend your money. As for the campaign being bad and wargroove and being cringe I wouldn't deny that but nobody buys that game for a good story they buy it for balanced fun to play against other people. It's one of the few games where everybody has the same tool chest and nothing has to be nerfed. It's videogame chess which is the best example of true balance in a RTS in its original form. Risk is more fun but chess is more a mind game then a luck and visually appealing game.

On steam alone the game sold over 1 million copies. Across all platforms it sold far more. The game was such a success it paid its development cost off in 3 days. As a little indie game at even got DLC because it was so loved by its fans. You might not like the game but the first one was a incredible success and I've already pre-ordered the second one.
