Depends on the person if you ask me. Like I only look up lore videos on youtube and I feel like those terrible 40k memes are permanently seared into my brain with a cattle brand. I don't think I could personally handle having to shout them in a recording booth.
After playing the beta, I can confidently say that Zealot is easily my favorite class. Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping faster than revving up a chainsword and just fucking CHARGING at the biggest threat. They really nailed the feeling of unbridled faith.
I love that final shot from the first trailer with the party facing down a Great Unclean One and the Zealot with absolutely no hesitation just rushes in hammer raised with a battle cry on her lips. Really encapsulates both her character and playstyle.
I think that's just a plague ogryn; GUO's are vastly larger. Greater Daemons may be a threat well beyond what even heroic regular humans could handle, if they appear at all I'd expect it to be the final boss fight.
@@seanm9824 Greater daemons can be a world-ending threat. Our little group, no matter how scrappy, would be fodder for it. If a GUO appeared in Tertium hive, the choice would be either throw all the regiments, Astartes, Ordo Malleus, even Grey Knights if they have any around, at it--or exterminatus.

I’m hoping they add some personality to the character. They spoiled with Vermintide‘s character dynamics, and I want more of it personally. Either way the game looks good so far.
we've already seen a extended bit of gameplay where the characters have the same level and quality of banter. just instead of people having names, they just use their title now
Watch some of the gameplay footage. The characters definitely have personality and there is quality banter. E.g. The ogryn starts a conversation by asking: "So... Golden Throne. How it work?"
@@BigMikeMcBastard there is also a vid of veteran shit talking cadia and one of the lobby members characters is from caida so he gets mad about veteran shit talking his planet and that he jokes about its destruction.
Aren't these guys supposed to be convict conscripts? Does that mean The Zealot got him/herself thrown in prison? Do you have any idea how far you would have to go over the line before the Ecclesiarcy says, "Okay, we all love The Emperor but you need to CHILL THE FUCK OUT!" Maybe it's one of those born again prison conversations?
Atleast two of them are criminals which have been given the chance to redeem themselves to the emperor. However from what we can gather , atleast one ( we don't know who it is yet though ) is a member of the Astra Militarum or is one of the inquisitors from the ordo Militarum that oversees the guardsmen. All likeliness does point towards this person being the zaelot
It was revealed in a short story blog that the zealot wasn't always such. They were a factory guard, and was thrown into prison after killing some chaos cultists. They came so close to death and corruption that they believed their soul remained pure only by the emperors light. Hence the zeolotry
Funny enough in the lore there are zealots that are so genuinely psychotically faithful to the Emperor that they start purging peoples around them whom they see as not faithful enough (Known as Redemptionists on Necromunda), and oftentimes they become enemy of the Ecclesiarchy for this very reason. I can see how a preacher like that could have been a redemptionist in a past life
Oh the zealot's faith is not in question by we the player... But that world... If you don't fit into the machine the way they want, you get tread underfoot.

@@Sluden Vermintide is an FPS - first person slasher. Really solid games. Dark tide will take the great aspects of those games and add to it, I'm hopeful
@@tiagomedeiros4802 vermintide and darktide are set in two completely different versions of Warhammer. Ones fantasy and ones 40k. The only similarity between the two are the chaos gods in them. Many of the fans who like 40K similarly hate fantasy and the same goes for the other side.
