@WarriorHumble24 sure, For official cinematics The 10th edition trailer The Horus heresy trailer There are a bunch of trailers from Gothic Armada and Gothic Armada 2 There are more trailers for darktide There are more trailers for Space Marine 2 You have about 2 hours of trailers from the fantasy version of this universe, specifically Total War Warhammer As far as fan-made trailers like astartes you have even more options This doesn't even get started on the lore content. I think that people directing you to Brookie are making the right choice. He's the best way to ease your way into the universe. Don't forget, 40K is the largest fictional Universe ever created by humans. It encompasses over 500 books and 40 Years of lore. It has inspired the creation of blizzard, warcraft, starcraft, the way that they described Space Marines and the Tau were basically copied and made into Halo in addition, Gears of War is just a terrestrial version of warhammer. Both of those games were super important for the start of Xbox and the console Wars and it likely would have never taken off without influence from this universe. That goes for the popularity of World of Warcraft which of course popular as MMOs and led to League of Legends and the dawn of esports. In addition, an unofficial movie based in the universe called Event Horizon was the inspiration for the Dead Space series. This universe was what many of the video game developers that made games in the early 2000s grew up on and so it's influences seen in a huge amount of media. This is the source of so much of the media in the gaming industry and so many of its major players. Edit for spelling
@@betathoughtexperiment Thank you so much for your help! Appreciate it! 🙏 And the Bricky's explanation videos are done and scheduled for the end of the week 👍
For reference, the dudes in big bulky armor are Space Marines, super-soldiers who are each eight feet tall and are a cross between a Halo SPARTAN and a warrior monk. The big green guys with ramshackle guns and machines are da orkz, British soccer hooligans on steroids who literally get bigger the more they fight. The dudes in gas masks are the Death Korps of Krieg, just regular humans but grim as you can get who believe that only by service until death in battle can they redeem their homeworld's sins. The space elves with bone armor are the Aeldari, ancient psychic aliens who are occasionally allies, but never _friends_ to mankind and they have a HUGE arrogance issue. Anyone with an I on him is probably an Inquisitor, humanity's secret police with the authority to kill worlds on a whim. Anything with an eight-pointed star and/or excessive spikes is Chaos, the servants of four dark gods of plague, slaughter, mutation and sensation. The grody, decaying, rotting zombie-looking dudes are either servants or demons of the plague god, Nurgle. The chick with white hair is a Sister of Battle, basically a warrior-nun serving as the galactic church's private army. The metal skeleton-looking guys with green energy are Necrons, basically Egyptian Space-Terminators from the dawn of time who enslaved their own gods. The giant bugs are Tyranids and they are exactly what you expect - a GIGANTIC, all-devouring swarm, but the good news is if you kill the big ones, the little ones lose their co-ordination.
26:37 Fun fact: those "dots" on their foreheads shows how many years they've been in military service. Silver means 50 years, gold means 100 years. So this guy has been fighting for 400 years. Prolly those three spacemarines have almost 1000 years combined.
The big boxy looking robot thing in the second trailer is a Space Marine Dreadnought. It's a greviously injured space marine who had been turned into the brain of a battle mech that acts as a heavy weapons platform.
in the clip where you said that guy had cool armour - that is a human Inquisitor in human scaled power armour now the reason I have to say human is Astarte power armour is very different as it connects into the nervous system of an Astarte while Inquisitorial power armour does not due to normal unaltered humans not having the bio/cybernetic implants needed etc which allows Astartes to move effortlessly in it as if it was a second skin while humans have to be trained to work with the armour in order to use it effectively in battle. remember how quick the Astarte's were while being about 8ft tall while here that guy does not stand that much taller then the soldiers in blue that are getting slaughtered and is very slow and clunky in his movements which is very much like how the Power Armour is in Fallout 4.
If you want lore, Bricky is most popular, but not the best alternative since he use memes a lot, so not that accurate. But honestly, there are a lot better alternatives out there. Like boldermort, vox in the void, warrior tier, weshammer, lutein and more. But you would get a lot of views if you do bricky since he has his own devout followers.
Bricky does also have a very digestible way of explaining the lore, both because of the funni mems and how he's able to summarize the general events in an energetic (and dubiously correct) all-encompassing package. You won't know the lore in exhaustive detail from watching Bricky talk about 40K. But he'll make you want to. Is the way I'd put it.
The people that put down Bricky because "he does memes" are because they don't understand. Bricky is about introducing brand new people, so yes he's gonna gloss over details that aren't super important and use memes to help people make connections to things. He alone is probably responsible for getting more new people into Warhammer 40k than a lot of the others because he's funny, he has a very easy way of digesting the information, he makes connection. Trying to have a new person watch Luetin is more likely going to drive them away. While yes he does more detailed and deep lore, that's better suited for people that already have an understanding and want to dig deeper, not an introduction.
The intro to Mechanicus doesn't have alot of cinematic shots to it, but it is very on point and thematic as hell. Give it a watch some time to learn about the people who maintain and build all the Imperiums weapons and gear.
Each golden stud on the Ultramarine's face represents 100 years of active service. Titus (the Space Marine at 26:40) has been in active service for over 400 years. Space Marines age so slowly that for a long time, lore wise, it was thought they were virtually immortal. Dante (Chapter Master of the Blood Angels) is around 1552 years old, having served as Chapter Master for over 1100 years. His inability to die is a meme at this point.
Its great ur dipping ur finger into warhammer 40k BUT dont forget there is warhammer fantasy warhammer the old world ppl would say......and if u liked cinematics like that then look for a list of all the Total War Warhamer 1 and 2 and 3....a game that brought the old world of warhammer fantasy to the pc in great glory show some love 😉
Aaahh ok....soz i just comment before looking to all vids hahaha....but that's great I will have a gander....as gamesworkshop are actually bringing back warhammer fantasy and I had always said its a great world with steep lore... I just had a look and see that u looked at the TWW3 trailers....ooohh sir you need to have a gander at them all from the 1st one all the way to the 3 game
you missed quite a lot of trailers. From actual dawn of war trailer ( and not marketing one), 2 exansion trailers, plenty of official trailers (new edition, horus heresy etc), then there is gothic armada and so on so on. Since i'm lazy to link each one, i made playlist back in day for myself. Probably still missing some trailers, but oh well. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X98ImCbhjnI.html Enjoy :)
@@WarriorHumble24 as heads up, playlist also has best fan animations(astartes project for example). They were so good, that people behind them were hired by GW to work on official stuff so now they actually official works, in a way. Have fun!
Ave Dominus Nox!!! Welcome to the grimdark universe of 40k and fantasy were every single faction fav color is gray expect orks they are just there for the fun of it... Ps. bricky's explained factions are a little out dated and a little off but its funny memes and like a friend explaining things so have fun.
If you wanna delve into a bit of warhammer knowledge you should watch brickys every warhammer faction or space marine legions explained videos he's usually pretty chill about people reacting to his stuff and encourages it to get more people into the universe
you think chainsaw swords are cool? try guns with chainsaws. You'll find that in gears of war, that franchise is heavily focused on war and fore with exploding heads an bodies being cut in half by those chainsaw guns
I've played DARK CRUSADE, WINTER ASSAULT, SOUL STORM, TITANIUM WARS, ULTIMATE APOCALYPSE and UNIFICATION WARS. The CRUCIBLE MOD Will bend and Break you if you're not Ready.. These RTS are good but even better with friends. There were 16 of us split into teams.. The Noise was very cool...
Strange that the compilation didn't include the original intro for Dawn of War (the one we see in this compilation is the trailer for the Winter Assault expansion). It's arguably one of the coolest ones, especially of that era: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gBgXH7eyRo4.html
