Of course Decimas was gonna be a Space Marine, he has a name that sounds like it came out of the Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire. Oh shit, I just realized Cawl called the UltraMarines a Legion, not the modern chapter that they are in the 41st millennium. Damn Cawl is an old son of a cyberdong.

He’s so old that he actually worked on the original project to create the Space Marines back during the Unification Wars. Back then he was more human than machine and only had one personality. Hence why he was chosen by Guilliman, he had the knowledge base to make the Primaris.

Cawl: "I don't like to lie." Notice how he says that he "doesn't LIKE to lie", not that he doesn't at all. Classic Cawl. Felix is getting a ton of spotlight despite not even having a model, although I haven't read "Plague Wars" yet, only "Dark Imperium", so he might just die there and that's it.

Those two books are worth a read in my opinion. I don't want to spoil them but Felix does make an appearance in one and also Belisaruis Cawl: The Great Work.

Great reading once again. I wasn't aware either that this short novella existed. Feels great to learn more about Felix's past. I really hope that Primus gets a similar novella. I want to know how his primarisation process failed in the end and left him to be the "Frankenstein Marine"

This having been my first time reading(listening) to anything cawl related, he's suprisingly "human" for one of if not the oldest tech priest around. Hearing him mention how the emperor knew better than current tech-priests, almost wistfully, makes me wonder how they got along.

I've heard a lot of hate about Cawl in the past few years amongst the fans. For me, he's easily one of the most interesting characters of the modern setting, and one whose exploits I eagerly await with the fast approaching 9th edition.

wow that is my dream ....i have tried to sculpt my body, when i was a young kid i was scrawny but i worked out tirelessly and tried to become the best me i could be..... Felix is destined to be the prototype primaris? what i would give to be even given the chance at something like that. You do wonders bringing stories like this to life Border Prince i really enjoy your work and have always been fasinated by space marines. i wish i could be one honestly. I'm not a big fan of the primaris idea. Advancement absolutely but the super er, super soldiers? Mostly I just don't like the idea of someone out doing in a few millenia what it took the emperor 80000 years to achieve.

His estimated age, not the time he started working on unification. Theoretically big E would have access to dark age tec. There are a few infered references that the mass suicide of the shamen occurred during the neolithic period. A little math suggests big E is pushing 80k.

No, but unless cawl is a man of iron in disguise, big E probably had a way better grasp on tec and humanity in general. Inferred data suggests he dates to the neolithic period.
