Dude any story I hear of angron pre heresy and some post heresy just confirms my belief that he is the most tragic primarch. He couldve been the most loyal and honorable one if the emperor just beamed down 100 warhounds and 3 custodes to back him up. Definitely one of the saddest stories in warhammer.
The Emperor really stepped on his crank with Angron. I actually don't understand why he mishandled it that badly. Could've made Nuceria compliant and made a most loyal son, kill two birds with one stone.
@darkhorse13golfgaming dude I saw a comment somewhere that made so much sense because it said if the emperor just sent the warhounds then angron wouldn't have resented them as fought with them in the greatest battle of his life. This would prevent the butchers nails in the legion and angron could at least leave Nuceria in the hands of his gladiator so he'd leave content. The emperor almost intentionally fucked with him since day 1 which lead to the most destructive demon in the current setting.
@@darkhorse13golfgaming i like your take but angron was doomed the instant the nails were laid in his skull. The emperor most likely knew this. The worst tragedy is that angron was found too late.
So far every primarch is more likeable in 40k. Heresy Era everyone was trying to make Primarchs and The Emperor multi faceted and beyond comprehension and so a bunch of things they do are literally beyond logical comprehension. Roboute just making Imperium Secondus instead of going to the throne world to destroy Horus and secure Terra was weird and random.
@@maltheri9833 guilliman, his father, and Ultrumar in general are supposed to be based upon ancient Rome. Imperial secundus was essentially this universes Byzantine Empire.
The Orks and their Hero worship of Yarrick is genuinely a wholesome moment in 40k. and hearing all the folk tales the Greenies say about him is like the telephone game in space and I love it xD
If GW doesnt do a 'Oly Ork Krusade' campaign with a giant Ork invasion of the Eye to hunt Angron they are leaving a bunch of money on the table. Ork Daemon Hunters, Lost and the Damned, Emperor's Children(NSFW), Warp Tainted Nid's drawn to all the reproducing biomass, Eldar Maiden world expedition forces, the return of the 13th Company and Russ, Raven Demon Corvus, Undivided Daemons, etc. Probably will just get another bad storyline about how Abdomen somehow fails all his objectives but is the master 8d chess player. They should have let him die under Saturnine.
6:16 “and my brothers and sisters died here!…They died without me…” The way that was delivered hit me so much harder than I thought it would…I only recently learnt about Angron’s life from birth up to now and this moment during the heresy was briefly touched upon, hearing his actual words however, his memories, his break down, his anger…a beautifully written scene performed with such perfection, I can feel every emotion coming through in your gravelled voice, that is mastery of your craft, sir!
He’s such a tragic primarch. I love him so much. He says in his Primarch novel to Khârn that “Angron died that day on Nuceria, with his brothers and sisters.”
"he rides a battle wagon so big, and so shooty, a hundred flash gits couldn't take it down". I too, remember his personal baneblade, the "FORTRESS OF ARROGANCE". I love your work sir. You really know how to bring the characters to life.
Couldn’t have clicked faster. RU-vid 40k is a far better place, with you in it. You’re my official head cannon voice for practically every character you have covered so far. Keep up the good work.
I started playing Rogue Trader and the moment i heard Heinrik van Calox speak i was like :" hey.... i know this voice !!! " Congrats on making it exactly what he needed to be :P
It's kind of interesting how the emperor fell into the oldest trap. 1 Austin meets his Fate on the path he chooses in an attempt to avoid it and the emperor did exactly that
i think he really thought he with his power and intelligence could change the fate but got a crazy reallity check. or it was all planed but seems highly unlikely@@CT-1902
He saved his life on the mountain and tried to give him purpose after realizing the nails were a death sentence. What do you expect? Just allow a PRIMARCH to die a meaningless death? Read the books and you see the Emporer offered his aid and Angron said no. Angron didn't want to conquer or rule. He wanted to die. He tried multiple times before being turned into a daemon to kill himself and run away. When your fighting for your survival you don't let a major weapon go to waste when it loses a basic function you use it until it stops.
The Emperor never offered aid. He told Angron he couldn't kill the high riders because they were in compliance. The people that defiled a primarch and turned him into a raving fool couldn't be destroyed because they complied. Why his brothers and sisters couldn't be saved when literally every other Primarch could take their people and even put them through the Astartesian transformation. Angron just got kidnapped mid battle. The Emperor to put it simply treated Angron like trash because he viewed him as a trash slave. That's the real reason. He came and he saw and was disappointed. So no time for coddling or explanations because I see youre already broken and nothing but a barbarian. So go kill things since you want to kill so badly. Go kill and begone from my sight.
Holy shit dude, that Kharn was spot on! I remember reading that he had a kill count in his visor, but hearing this speech how it anchors his soul… that was powerful man. Well done!
You add a depth to the characters I haven't heard on any Black Library audiobook. Nobody else has anywhere-near nailed the tragedy-combined-with-menace of Angron like that - proper tingles, that. And of course Dorn is a Yorkshireman. Incredible talent.
When I listen to you, I close my eyes, and I imagine that I am some lonely Space Marine standing in the corner guarding some unknown thing and listening to the conversations of demigods, keep up the good work
I'm a huge fan of your work. The Angron and Kharn monologues were amazing, and your Ork voice acting is perfect to me. You really brought Angron to life. Betrayer is one of my favorite books, and his return to Nuceria always hits me in the gut. The pain and frustration was palpable in your delivery. Your Trazyn is also fantastic. I've been a Necron and World Eaters enjoyer for decades and the stuff you've made is awesome to listen to.
Your rendition of Angron's return to Nuceria speech is what made me read betrayer, you killed it my man. Hope to see you narrating one of these audiobooks soon!
I've associated your voice with Horus at this point. Your "Let The Galaxy Burn" reading was phenomenal. I also really enjoy your take on Lorgar - you pitch up a tiny bit and add a subtle inflection that really brings a lot to the character. Part of me would love to hear your version of his Primarch novel because I know you could add so much to it.
A Northern English (I think?) accent wasn't what I imagined Dorn having, but it makes perfect sense in hindsight. Just always imagined gruff American military man accent 🤣
Heinrix is one of my go to guy for Rogue Trader. Your buffs helped me slay a lot of daemons and heretics so cheers! Just a heads up, try to be nice to the Eldar Ranger. She's trying her best, bless her 😉
Keep with the Warkammer 40K voiceover sir! I saw your video on Films and Anime speeches, but we already heard those lines. When we talk about Warhammer 40k, especially when it comes to books, on the other hand, many people have only read those dialogues, or don't know them at all. And if heard, not with that quality! That's why these videos keep getting so many hits! I've heard part 1 so many of times that it's hard to count. Your Sangunius and Dante are simply moving.
Glad you enjoy them. Tbh the vast majority of the anime stuff I’d never heard of before. Whenever possible, it’s the stuff I’ve not heard of at all that attracts me most. But good writing is good writing and Warhammer has a lot of it
Your performance was awe inspiring to witness, it was as if reliving the memory of my brother Angron speaking to me of Nuceria, the joy, the anger, the utter despair, I felt it all in your performance. You deserve my standing applause.
I thought that was you in Rogue Trader, so pleased that cast you amongst the already talented cast. I hope you go from success to success, warhammer related or not, the hobby community will support you regardless 👍
Just heard you on Amber Kings recent video on Horus with you as Horus My brother in the Emperor please don't stop doing what you're doing. You are simply tremendous
It's the brief moment of empathy that peaks out behind the anger and the butchers nails for Angron that brings me to tears. Love this more than words can describe
Been playing through Rogue Trader and you're performance as Heinrix is one of the highlights of the CRPG. You bring an awesome emotional core to the inquistor. I hope you get much more work within the warhammer space and beyond your stuff is beyond amazing!
Turning volume on full. Putting down my screen, closing my eyes and immersing myself in the imagery of the statuesque Angron screaming over his lost oath. Man your voice acting Genuenly made me cry out loud. I really needed that, thank you.
Congrats on all your success! Your co tent is amazing and your 40k content is mindblowing! Love your Gazkull version! Keep up the great work and can't wait for the 2nd audio book your doing!
You are amazing at what you do. Idk what else to say. Angron and the world eaters are my favorite and you make them come to life exactly how I thought they would be. It’s so good.
Hi Christopher ! It was a marvellous experience to discover your work and content, and as a die-hard fan of Warhammer 40k, you bring so much life to the words of our beloved characters. I wish you the best and hope to listen to your voice many more times
Holy fuck, Malcador talking to Horus during the End and the Death is absolutely bloody incredible. Truly amazing job Chris! Please please do Sanguinius' speech at the Eternity Gate at some point!
I absolutely love your ork voice in the Hammer and Bolter - Old Bale Eye chapter. I’ve been listening to on repeat 🥰. And then to find out you also voice act Heinrix!! 💯. Looking forward to hearing more!
Maaaan, i love how Orks talk about Old Bale Eye. And it's always so fun. But you really kill it being an ork. (I promise it's a compliment. XD) AHHHHHH! STOP BEING GUILIMAN! IT'S GLORY BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES!! :)
I really love the hammer and bolter the music with it is such a banger, and malcador golden throne and hopeful and despair music as well I really wish their was a sound track to listen all them
The greatest tragedy of angron isn’t just his ability that he never could truly use in the height of the crusades. It was that he was doomed the second the nails were driven into his brain, it was the fact he was found far too late
Angron honestly never stood a chance. He was born to fail and fall to khorne. He was never shown by his brothers how to process his emotional pain and sent him down his path
@NaturallyRPVoiceover sounds good man, I will send you the material via email. See I repeat the damn intro to myself many of times. I know it by heart enough that I wish a lot I could either voice a rendition of Grimaldus or act a role....it may never happen but I'll always love my favorite next to Sigismund, Khârn, and Talos. As always man you are amazing and somedays I just love listening to your renditions and work on my delivery and emotions for voice work. But that'll never be a career choice for me lol
The best is, even when you have, obviously, the same face all the time, when you play someone I see you as a different one every time. You really look and move as different as it's possible for one person. Amazing
When I heard Heinrix's voice, I went like "Hmmmm, is it him? Sounds like him..." happy to see I was right ^^ cant wait to have him back aboard. Congrats on landing the role and keep up the great speeches!
I love your voice work in Rouge Trader, Hendrix is such a good portrayal of an Interrogator of the Inquisition. He’s the perfect blend of silver tongued charmer with the right amount of hat ability that all agents should have. Truly a authentic character due to your diligence and care
Honestly i have to say props on your take on Malcador since it really portrays the tragedy as to whats happening. Imagine you had a friend who you knew for thousands of years and now because of your mistakes you now have to watch that friend die.
