Warhammer 40K Darktide is absolute insanity now... 

I learnt so much about the Emperor today.

I would absolutely love a battlefield style game with the 40k universe. Imagine rushing a point as one of the Death Korps of Krieg or calling in a space marine squad to turn the tides. Balancing would be difficult but if done right it would be amazing.

Ive put in 600 hours into this game through all its growing pains. And im confident it will have an even bigger glowup than vermintide 2.

I can safely say that after this new patch. The game is officially in the beginning of it's redemption arc. This game really feels how it should've been at launch now.

I've played Darktide consistently since release. I'm more of a 40k fan than a Darktide fan if that makes sense. I treated it kind of like a funhouse, going through the motions just to experience the atmosphere and love of the universe put into this games design and music. Take it from somebody who's trudged through it like a guilty pleasure. This game is actually fun now. If you haven't played it, you absolutely have to now. Even if you're not a Warhammer fan. It's just legitimately fun, and every class feels like they have a distinct purpose, even when you use your weapons or talents to balance out their weaknesses instead of emphasizing their strengths. Play Darktide. You will love it.

Game Pass is kicking ass the last couple weeks.

darktide is one of the most genuinely fun games ive ever played, but the progression and skill systems were one of the worst ive ever seen in a game upon release. it's good to see theyre leaving what's good and replacing what's bad. cant wait to get back into this game.

it's insane how building a new rig and playing all these games at max settings at 100+ fps changes the gaming experience

I think fatshark 100% is turning the game around with this update. Even though it still feels like the same game the classes make the difference now 100% and feel a lot more versatile and pack way more of a punch andsome new fun visuals and "weapons" the Psyker arrows are super fun and i feel like they got the idea from Guardians of the Galaxy with Yondu's whistle arrow. I hope they keep this train going and taking risks every now and then like this.

hopefully theyll start adding some more weapon variety too. I'd love to see meltas, maybe a plasma pistol, bolt pistols, and some new lasguns like a hotshot or long-las

I found it on the Xbox game pass a few days back and i am HOOKED. It has been a long time since a game has me itching to get home so i can jump back in. Ive made a Zealot as my first main guy. I am about level 20 and use a chainsword and rifle. The melee weapons have some really cool extra features, like my chainsword, I can press down the right analog stick and the saw revs up and spins. It rips through everything! Really liking this game

I played a few hours last night when it released on Xbox, I gotta say I like this space sci-fi warhammer aesthetic better than the medieval fantasy vermintide aesthetic. Also darktide has been surprisingly super fun so far

Took a bit of a hiatus from the game since hitting 30 with each character. Heard about the update and my lord its night and day now. The synergies with other classes and choices you can make for your character make a world of difference. I was a Zealot main but the Telekine shield the Pysker gets, *Chefs Kiss*, I've barely touched another class now. I enjoy playing support style classes so now actually having that option is huge in my eyes. Voice of Command Vetern, TeleKine Shield Pysker are my go to, I love the Zealot's support ability as well, and cant get enough of the Ogryn Barrage mode, try it with a Rumbler, you wont be dissapointed.

Omg I had no idea the gameplay was like THAT! It’s utterly insane! Such carnage…indefinite carnage. I’ve gotta get my hands on this. Is it out already? Howcome I’m only now learning about this? It’s so freakin impressive to watch!

Even if the gameplay gets stale, the visual world-building that this game has is STAGGERING. I can't think of a game that I have played before where the visuals matched up perfectly with what my mind's eye had for them.

Tried the new update yesterday and goddam, does it feel amazing currently!! especially the crazy space wizards, those flying blades are nifty af!!

For the chain sword just spam heavy attacks, they do horizontal sweeps. Just move side to side in the same direction as the swing which will make you hit more enemies per swing. Occasionally go backwards and you will be untouchable by hoards.

600 hours played in DT so I'm definitely eager to get back into things (finally updated today) to play with the new stuff. The core game was always fantastic, it was just a matter of (A) the meta game (crafting, gear, etc) launched in _horrible_ shape, and (B) there was a _lot_ of balance work ahead of the team (and some of the dedicated DT/VT streamers I watch seem to confirm that things have improved a bit nowadays, so that's promising).

I got around 200 hours in this game, but stopped playing around spring this year. Fatshark always delivers in the end, it takes way longer that it should but they do 😂 Time to get the squad back together! :)

I had a bunch of fun with it at launch even though it was smaller in scope. I'm really excited for how this is starting to turn out though.

I bought this game today. It is very enjoyable. The last Warhammer game I liked this much was Space Marine. I do believe Space Marine 2 will be out this year, according to Steam.

DLed it on game pass, after almost a week I'm hooked playing the Psycher. Love the build, running around wiping out crowds of mobs like Yondu with multiple arrows. Good music and looking around seeing what it's like walking around a WH40k hive city.

I miss the days when you heard- "Hey, this game we played over a year ago? Yeah theres new stuff coming out for it!" -Meant that a whole new completed sequel or expansion was in the works.. or was already released. Not that the devs FINALLY fixed their game

About to finish book 3 of the esienhorn series and was hoping to find a Warhammer game set closer to that oart of the universe, so glad i looked. My wish of a Warhammer game that was based on something other than marines or vermintide finally came true and i didnt even know it. Installing tonight

Playerbase was stuck at 4k, now when patch came Darktide manage to reach 26k for a few hours. Beside the reworked class system, the game still lacks community moding and pvp mode like other Left4DeadClones.

The most insane thing about this game is the constant crashes! Every other match I get disconnected and have to rejoin having lost everything I was carrying.

I now have KRAK grenades that regen over time. I love that I can throw slowly regenerating anti armor grenades without worrying that I’ll run out.

I redownloaded the game a few days ago and have been having a blast. Fatshark really pulled it out the bag!

For those wondering the ogryn psyker is called cassia her powers awoke when she lifted a land raider with her mind to shield her commissar whilst serving in a penal battalion

I play this game from about this time last year for 6 months put loads of hour in and had loads of fun. I remember playing a game early on where I had the longest and most intense encounter I've ever experienced in a game, just swinging my chainsword and cutting down endless hoardes of scabs. The gameplay loop is pretty sustainable on this strength but the new additions are absolutely welcome

the psyker abilities are literally just reskinned flame mage from Vermintide 2. same exact abilities, different skins. they may have added some things, but at its core, this is just vermintide 2.5 without skaven.

I hereby dub that Psyker build the "Unlimited Emprah" build.

I haven't tried the lightning build yet but I like the psychic throwing knives. If you use your shout ability when your peril is high it will take a large amount of it away instantly as well as stun and proc soulfire. Very useful on large hordes. I've been really enjoying it again but it does still lack any real endgame gameplay besides slaying horde after horde.

not 100% sure, but where you aware if you hold right click you can actually empty the flamer as you move slowly instead of like fireball attacks from the left click, hold right, then hold left, fun times

I think with necromancer they kinda finished V2 and now they will focus on Darktide more. Never really cared for darktide, but now is its fans time to shine.
