I would LOVE to captain an Avenger. "Helm, get me closer; I want to hit them with my sword!" They're the closest thing to a suicidal cavalry charge voidcombat ever sees.

@@GrimDarkNarrator Grand cruisers don't have rams. They sort of look like they do, but the prows aren't up-armoured like those on more modern Imperial ships, so they're not as effective at ramming.

The sad irony is that even with their relatively short range armaments, the Avenger class still generally is shooting at a completely non-visible spot hundreds of kilometres away. That's the funny part of the Warhammer space ship battles, that they'd look more like 60s era trek battles as opposed to 00s era star wars.

An Avenger would be a terrifying pirate ship. doesn't need too much armor when attacking cargo ships

I don't think so. I only ever found the couple of paragraphs I mentioned in my Imperial Ship Types video.

Is there any chance that in the future you could give an estimate of how many weapons and what types each ship uses? It can be difficult to find information regarding the exact armament of imperial vessels

I'm afraid that as far as general lore is concerned, it kinda just says it uses this or that weapons but not in more detail than that. Also, some ships are described way better than others.

Avengers, as stated in the video, have four banks of macrobatteries on each side. Exorcists have two carrier bays and two banks of macrobatteries on each side. Vengeances have two banks of lances and two banks of macrobatteries on each side.
