The Mars is my favorite Imperial Battlecruiser by far. Perfect for a Rogue Trader flagship or Navy fleet flagship if the latter can't get a Battleship.

If I was a rogue trader I would want a late crusade Era Mars Battlecrusier used by the Solar Auxilia. That void equipment is much needed and the multi role is best for a trader. Crusade Era means godsbane lances and plasma macrocannons. Built on Jupiter or Saturn to get that OP jovian nova Canon. My preference would be on Thule. Love the Thule myth and that's where the abyss class was laid down around Jupiter.

I realize u made these videos 6 years ago but regardless, I am enjoying them immensely!!! I am switching back and forth between the 40k Navy and Vehicle videos and hvnt seen a bad one yet! Thanks for all the research u had to do in order to make these videos as well! I'm heading back to watching the next Naval video now. As a 63yr old nubie to 40k I need all the lore videos out there to catch up! Lol Take care and hope u have a great weekend! Harold

Good vid. Overlord is good ship for midle range exchanges. Good in brutal force skirmishes, but lacking means to fight in a cunning and self-protecting way (out of enemys range). Mars is its oposite. Not so strong in direct broadside exchanges, but as a flagship of a small fleet, or when properly used, may be the same, or even much more devastating, than the Overlord.

First time here. Nice work. I don’t know how your lore is compiled. Small thing I would consider, 40k is vast. I came here because I read about the overlord in Dark Imperium. I’m not sure how the two are related if an overlord class is also commissioned by Lord Reagent Guilliman.

Welcome. I usually approach a topic and use all the lore in the wikis to cover it. Could be that there are obscure bits of lore about a particular topic that aren't mentioned there and I haven't read about it either in the novels. So, my stuff is more like an overview in some cases than an all-inclusive treatise.

You said that after the gothic war mass production was started on the Mars class at many imperial shipyards yet it is scarce . Also you said that production was halted over 2 millennia ago , while before having said that it was halted 800 years before the gothic war . Does that mean that it was halted, after the gothic war produced in numbers and then stopped again ? I got confused , though in the vastness of warhammer lore it occurs . Awesome video of high quality
