Sorry for the late post, where was that pic of the punisher from? Everything I’ve seen makes it look much more like a standard astartes strike cruiser but with the imperial prow…

@@cbrophy1 Battlefleet Gothic Magazine issue 10. A you are correct it is nothing more than a kit bash of a Strike Cruiser and an Imperial Prow. Bear in mind any lore older than 20 years is a lazy rip off of something else and made grim dark.

'There are only two types of vessels in the galaxy, Strike Cruisers and targets...' - Author unknown Strike Cruisers of the Red Scimitars Chapter we're armed with a weapon system known as 'Boarding Javelins' '...The boarding javelins were a variant of the ancient and much-maligned Ursus Claw contact-system - high-tension lines, connected to immense harpoons, fired into the hull of enemy vessels in order to bring them into range for boarding actions. The variant system had been pioneered by his own Chapter, and was a more efficient use of the ploy, on the whole. Rather than simply dragging enemy vessels off course, the javelin-lines were a form of electromagnetic rail, along which specially designed boarding torpedoes would run. The harpoons were, in some measure, hollow, creating a stable ‘corridor’ for boarding parties to swarm through. In theory, it allowed for a more precise application of boarding tactics..' A]

Yeah, it would be great to see an open world-esque 40k RPG like the newer Assassin's Creed games. Unfortunately, I don't think the setting is mainstream enough for a big dev to risk making a big budget game in it. That and GW would probably say no for nonsensical reasons.

Unfortunately I missed this video so I'm probably too late for the vote but if not then definitely A takes my vote as I love hearing about space marine warships. As always grim another great video really enjoyed it more so because I've got back into playing battlefleet gothic armada 2 again. Thanks for the upload gdn and as always look forward to seeing more videos.

I’ll be honest; I’ve never liked the designs for 40K capital ships. “Cathedrals in space” never did it for me. What I do appreciate is their size and destructive capabilities. A. More Space Marines ships, please.

I think that design is for it to be in tone with the gothic and religious aspects of the setting.
