Warhammer AoS 2023 Battleforce Review | Soulblight Gravelords | Price, Savings, Points, Upgrades 

I really appreciate this video, like more than you can imagine. I enjoy vampires in fantasy media and I was interested in the Soulblight as one of the many armies in AoS that interests me. I had my eye on this box but every review I saw for it seemed to just think it was "pretty okay, not the best but an alright starting point". Your video breaks down the exact problem it has that even I can see as a non-AoS fan, it's "a little of everything", but has no focus, and as a result it gets spread too thin. The idea behind the box is it gives you a little bit of each subfaction so that when you play the army you can figure out what you like and move in that direction, but because there's no focus on any of these subfactions, none of them are operating at acceptable efficiency so it all feels bad to play. It's tough to tell which angle of the Gravelords you like best when it all seems kinda bad. That Vanguard box looks like a much better way to get into Gravelords for me, since I'd like to experiment with the knights and the hordes the most over the animals and the monsters, so a Vampire Lord on foot seems like a better starting leader than a Vengorian Lord that requires me to buy a giant spotlight kit I might not even want. Realizing I genuinely do not need this Battleforce from this video just saved me a _bucket_ of money! That said, I did watch the video for the Slaves to Darkness box, and _that_ one seems like an absolute winner for me!

Absolutely making me regret getting two Soulblight battleforces in 2021 in order to make both options of Vengorians....... Could have gotten that AND more unit variety. Guess there's a lesson about hoarding somewhere there.

I skipped the last battleforce because I didn't want to play with zombies. I'm skipping this one because I don't really need more skeletons at this time, and the price point is now truly eye watering. Discount is meh and it's a lot of money to drop on one box.
