@@DwainiacWarhammer in my opinion you do the best editing of battle reports videos I ever seen in youtube, the others are just 2 hours of video of people throw dice. A bit boring, while your videos are very entertaining and fun to watch and rewatch :)
Magnificent. Produced in the old 80s warhammer spirit of irreverent satire before it all got dark and serious. Thou shalt get a shoutout via the street cryer in the lower city alleyways under the control of Dr. Blaxill and his loyalist punks.
5 Mistakes made in this report: 1. Can’t place Magic Vortex over models 2. You can’t charge in a marching column 3. Wraith can’t join Skeleton unit 4. Multiple wounds only count for 1 model 5. Losing combat to an enemy that doubles your unit strength flees instead of fall back in good order
Not being able to charge in marching column is exactly why with Drilled you CAN redress before a charge. Otherwise it would take half the game before a marching column unit would be able to charge something, and anything they reformed to charge could generally just move out of the way or themselves charge before your unit were able to. It kind of defeats the entire purpose of Drilled if this isn't the case, and would make dwarfs unplayable.
This was great fun, I really enjoyed it. The jokes are great, the narration is clear and paced effectively, the graphics/captions really add to whole thing. I'm impressed. You are totally forgiven for the mistakes, as it was clearly a fun game and told the story well. Subscribed!
Thank you. Please keep these coming. It was so funny and quick that the missed rules don't even bother me. It's like "hey wait a second... nope! no time to wait, keep moving forward!"
Thoroughly enjoyed this! It’s clear you’ve spent a lot of time and effort on it. I will now be referring to my banshee as Karen, just fantastic! Subscribed and hoping for more soon!
This has to be the best batrep I've ever watched. I've been watching batreps for the past 10 years... Funny, straight to the point, great editing, no chit chat. Perfection. Please keep it up!
Loving this battle report. I have been watching some others. Full battle reports are often just on in the background. This is a great format for making it interesting and the editing showing all the important bits with the narrative without just making it matter of fact "i rolled a 2 so failed etc"
Really the best battle report I have ever watched. Interesting, informative but at the same time with humour. I hope your channel will be very popular in short time and you will create no less than one battle report like this per week;))
New favorite channel for Battle reports - thanks for focusing on the game with great dialogue and commentary, not two guys standing around a table and throwing dice for three hours! I'll also add that the camera work shows of how good the minis look.
This is ENTERTAINMENTOOOO!!! in anime terms. Hilarious, witty and meme-injected narration kept me watching even though I don't even know anything about Warhammer fantasy (I'm a 40K fan). You guys deserve a studio to to keep on delivering this quality content. Also, Steve and Bob are a great addition to the whole story-telling LOL!
Your battlerepports are the most amusing by far ❤❤ keep it going. Remember, as a VC player myself I cannot let this go, the pig COULDT kill the Vampire general as the boar boys are in marching column so they cannot charge, a las the general Will live 🤭🤭 (p.101). Great rapport, cant wait to see the next one.
Really like this. Most importantly the length, I turn out 90% of the time after 30-40 mins of straight up battle reports, skipping to what’s important but I watched this the whole way through and in fact I am commenting on my 2nd watch The editing and even the bits and jokes all good stuff
You've earned a subscriber, I rather see BP videos like this! All the mechs, measurements and rolls being portrayed narratively alongside the minis moving, close view to the table and not a single chit chat messing the experience, only improving it.
Great batrep, I appreciate yours! As someone mentioned a Wraith can't join a non-Ethereal unit, though they could've joined those Spirit Host. There are no limitations on different troop/base types joining each other unless stated otherwise.
Always enjoy the humor in your videos. Makes for a great watch. But during your turn 1, your necromancer forgot to use his Invocation of Nehek to get back some graveguard that the doom diver took out.
i really cant decide which way to play drilled for now were playing its not allowed to change before a charge. 1 minor issue when the orcs charged the bad dog owners(and the boar riders in turn 6 too) they were in marching column and shouldnt be allowed to charge. this report was incredibly aussie and ill be back for more.
You sir are absolutely hilarious! Some mistakes though. The vampire can't cast spells while wearing armour. You seem to move too far for failed charges, it should just be the higher of the dice roll. The spirit hosts that are not in base contact can only make 1 supporting attack. Vortex cannot be placed directly on a unit. The wraith's D3 wounds is only to a single target, it doesn't spill over to multippe models. The boar boyz are in marching copumn, they couldn't have charged the count.
Cheers mate! So the Vampire was wearing the Flayed Hauberk which allows him to cast spells with that particular armour on. Regarding failed charges is it not movement plus the higher number of the dice roll? That’s what we went by (The giant and Orc mob used the lower number because of the woods). Interesting about the Spirit hosts only getting 1 attack being out of contact I must have missed that in the book. Also another mistake to call myself out, the wraith is ethereal and can’t join a non ethereal unit. I didn’t read the “vice versa” part of the rule😅
@@DwainiacWarhammer but u have a shield on the vampire? Failed charges is just the dice roll alone. Movement plus dice roll is essentially your full charge range. Yeah, spirit hosts not in base contact only makes 1 attack. It's under the How Many Attacks section.
Great video! What will Bob and Steve get up to next? Chariots?? Would you ever go back to 6th or is TOW worth getting into? If it is, how is it better? Thanks All the best!
Episode 2 featuring Bob & Steve is up! (Zacharias vs Grimgor batrep) I think TOW has good and bad changes. I really don’t like magic in TOW. Also hate that you can’t target a riding character or its monster mount. But the game mechanics work better I think, movement, shooting, combat res
Thanks Dwain, your videos are very funny. I am totally with you regarding that your games should tell a story and should be fun! I dusted off my brother’s old Undead army yesterday to fix and paint the rest of it after 30 years! lol My High Elves never could beat Nagash! I’ll stick with 6th edition for the time being. Thanks again and all the best Sir! 😉👍
A few things I noticed.... Ethereal Characters cannot join non ethereal units and viceversa. The vortex has to be placed on the table without it ouching anymodels base ( RB p107 ). When the orcs charged the spirit hosts they should have wheeled from the opposite end to try and maximise figues in contact. Ridded monsters have to wheel when they move they can't just jink around like the used to.
Great battle report as usual, love the added effects. You just have one problem now. Any battle report that doesnt feature Bob and Steve is going to make me sad 😀
Guys at 8:50 orcs attack first, killing 4, how can ghouls attack back? I think in tow you remove casualties from back but models are considered to be in the front rank, so you can’t attack back!
@@DwainiacWarhammer dice gonna dice, yeah, but that's incredibly unlikely. Usually my rolls average out, but I played ~5 matches of WHFB 6th ed. with orcs. Never rolled more than 4 inches with fanatics in those games.
