The Alpha closed test for the new Versus Mode of Vermintide 2 is finally here!
Here is some gameplay of the brand new game mode.
Now the game switches you between the heroes' team and the skaven team where you control the special units !

It reminds me a bit of F2P "Nosgoth", I think 9 years back - and nope, this game vanished, as far as I know.

Gameplay-wise, they really need to find ways for the specials to do more damage, because as it is you simply do too little damage while getting 1-2 shot from everyone. In L4D (because it's the obvious counterpart), you deal reasonable damage with the Charger and Hunter, and the Charger and Jockey have to potential to bring you inside a molotov, gas canister or simply throw you off the map for an instant kill. Here, the specials have none of that, which really looks like it's going to be frustrating. Brace of Pistols and most of Sienna and Kerillian weapons can kill all 4 rat players before having to reload. Waystalker ult is a button press automatic win. You can't mindgame Necromancer's skelettons exept with assassin. The balancing and gameplay scares me quite a lot.

From what i ve seen so far the specials do the same damage as in recruit difficulty.it will probably be higher when it will be officially released.
