I'd like to think that he acts like he just sees them all as underlings to get more treasure because he wants to uphold his nasty reputation. Either that or he's completely unaware of how much he actually cares for them.

A lot of them remind me more of the bumpers from Smooth Moves. Where they don't really have a plot necessarily, they're just showing off what the characters are all about. Dribble & Spitz's intro feels a lot like that. Like, just as you think the plot is about to start, it's just over already. 9-Volt's intro kinda starts out like that, but then there IS an actual plot. But the weirdest part to me is that none of them have endings. Even though a lot of them feel like they could use one. Like, what ever happened to Leo, that evil Ninja after Kat & Ana beat him? Usually there might be a scene where they make amends, or maybe he swears revenge, or some unexpected twist happens. I guess he just... leaves? Heck, he might be dead for all we know. And what about Wario falling down that hole from the space nose? That plot didn't even really tie into the microgame screen. I guess we're meant to assume that he got back out...somehow? ...and ended up rebuilding his house by the time Orbulon's scene happens? Speaking of, Orbulon's cutscene was fine. It felt complete in establishing what his stage is about. But over all, I dunno, the whole thing felt kind of unfocused or unfinished. Like they threw these scenes together at the last minute. Like they had the choice to either animate ending cutscenes for all of them, or none of them. And they didn't have time or budget to make all of them, so they made none. A lower budget would also explain why the lines are only partially voice-acted. Let's hope this entry sells well, so that the next game can get a bigger budget. Personally, I prefer the cutscenes with minimal dialog and more of a focus on visual storytelling and cartoon antics.

Damn, I really wanted the fully voiced dialogue back, but this is fine.

Also sucks that there are no more cutscenes than at the end of each stage, unlike gold.

Kat and Ana’s cutscene to me NEEDED an ending cutscene, they set up a new villain for them, and it ends with them about to fight him, then nothing comes out of that. Other than the animals turning to normal within the micro games?

Its weird... if smooth moves has a cutscene with less Dialog its no problem but if get it together does it its a problem for everyone. I think they did less Dialog to do it more back to the roots which (in my opinion) could have had potential. So in other words its not the problem of not enough dialogues but the problem of the storys themselfes not having much content to begin with.

@@wamirkro8545 I really hate the fact that most of the stages in this game have cutscenes that just explain why are you playing with that background but don't end the history itself, like yeah Mona's pets make a disaster twice and Mona is not happy so she shows her boomerang and scare them, now play this minigames, you did it, now Mona's level is fixed, but what about her pets? did she did something to fix her problem? what the hell where's the plot?

@@pablin259 These are all games made by WarioWare Inc, so these aren't actually part of the story, just something the characters made for themselves. The plot is in the dialogue bubble style cutscenes before each level

There’s a million voice lines in the game from getting to the last life to winning a bad fit Microgame to getting a thing they dislike in the break room. I’m pretty sure they didn’t have time to do the main voice lines. (I say main because every other character also faintly says something, the most clear one is 9-volt when they all come over to the game.)

in gold they mentioned that this was a one time stuff for the game having full voice acting is not budget is simply that the creators don’t really like to make the character talk that much, that’s why in this game the characters limit in one or teo phrases for cutscenes not because budget, wario ware never needed a lot of budget and wario ware gold was reusing a lot of old game but that wasn’t the reason why they had full voice acting, probably because of the options to make the player can dub the cutscenes later.

@@michaelvuong9302 pretty much they don't even try to make him intresting like COME ON how are you gonna make a character whose design, and personality is based off shonen protagonists, and not make funny situations they are known to get into. Imagine a funny take on the whole "power of friendship thing" imagine him going into long monologs over the simplest of stuff like buying groceries, imagine master mantis fake dying so then cricket powers up to an ultimate form I think that would be hilarious. Imagine cricket getting hit by a pebble, or something that wouldn't remotely hurt anyone, and he just gets sent flying through multiple buildings. Those are only a few examples I had in mind there's just SO MANY troupes from these kinds of shows that would be hilarious to see in warioware, and i personally think it would improve young crickets character a lot because nobody would expect something like that in warioware. It's kinda like Greig, and tweeks ultimate attack from South Park fractured but whole even though it's a funny game no one was expecting something like that.

Apparently the devs had said that the full voice acting in gold was like a one time thing they wanted to experiment with or something. I assume they mainly wanted to do it just to incorporate the feature of being able to dub the cutscenes.
