Your ships look great. My starter box arrived a couple of weeks ago now. I opened it and took one look at it and was immediately terrified at how fragile it all looked. I packed it all away for another day, haha! I'll stick to my Napoleonic's and Bolt Actions for the time being. Some fantastic final shots at the end there, your ships are more than "passible". Another great Vlog all in all.
Thank you Kelvin. I know what you mean with the ships, it’s certainly different to other painting and modelling hobby. Building and painting the ships isn’t that bad at all really, the rigging, sails and flags can be tricky though.
Looks fabulous Stuart. I can’t commit to purchasing this at the moment as I have so much in the cupboard of shame to do and spent the last year doing epic ACW & Napoleonics. Well done though as it sure makes it tempting ☠️☠️☠️☠️
I was unaware of the Vallejo water texture, or the rigging. Thank you for giving them a try for us. Many years ago, I tried using fine brass wire to establish a much simplified version of my Valiant brand frigate's standing rigging. I remember measuring it as being a bit fussy, but it turned out well, and actually had the added benefit of strengthening the masts. On the other hand, I only did one, so perhaps thread is the better option. Your brigs do look exceptionally nice, and your efforts are appreciated The rocks remind me of the wreck of the White Ship in Barfleur Harbor. Currently reading the book by Charles Spencer.

The foam texture stuff. Is it possible that it is to be used over the top of their textured water effects? We used the water effects with great success, we thought, on our WWII naval models for Adepticon this year, but there was no way to get any sort of a "foam" look without drybrushing the wavetops. Perhaps the stuff you have is meant to go on top to provide that look?
I haven’t seen the foam product up close, and it’s kind of hard to tell from your video, but is there any texture at all to that foam? I know you said it’s similar to white paint, and if there really is no texture at all to it I can’t see any reason to not just use white paint. Cheaper.
This has come out like paint, that why I’m confused, but I need to research that I’m using it properly, but if this is it then it’s not any better than white paint for sure.
Not a silly question at all. It was something I was worried about, but only had plastic and super glue, so I did use superglue, but was careful to keep it to a minimal amount, and away from the edge of the ships where frosting would be visible.
