My 2c on the veneers… If black limba, yellow the center and burst edges with black-limba looks good in yellow…but that look is not very trendy anymore, if that matters to you… The eucalyptus is very unique though🤔- i would fold it up so you have the chevron v pattern in center, stain it “tiger eye” finish🤘 or dye it black, sand it back and paint it white see thru… both are very cool and unique looks, you don’t see much of anymore…
I know you used the term very loosely, but "barn find" in YT videos always gets me. I've been in many barns in my day and haven't seen much more than hay, rusty farm implements and rat sh*t. 😂.
LOL, I hear what you're saying. We probably walked through the same barns. I grew up on a farm. Our barns and corn crib smelled of must, wet dirt, cat crap and rats. Oh I hate rats! I probably should have called this an "under the bed find", or "back of the closet find". Hmm, that sounds a bit creepy. Rats, I hate rats. We had some big rats in the crib, our cats wouldn't even mess with those rats. I hate 'em! Hope all is well, be safe and take care!

Thats a really cool project! I was watching and thinking if only that body had a lower horn scoop and i would sculpt the neck joint a bit and there it was! Lol. I think as a shredder it would be even cooler if it was just a humbucker-single coil, without the middle pickup getting in the way…who knows, you got those veneers to cover it up with maybe? Great idea on inlaying the neck plate too and thank you for pointing out the looseness needed for paint later. This guitar is going to be great!

I am thinking about filling the middle pup cavity, and as you mentioned cover it with the veneer. That said, I may not do that. I really don't know until I'm making sawdust. @@theNextProjectfor another project…you should check out esp/ltd guitars how they do their bolt on guitars regarding the angular neck plate and the cut of the heel , i think its even cooler and more comfortable than the fender style you have here. Their neck plates are easily obtainable too
