@Chethan SOZA uhhh no it’s just been shut for 4 years bc of maintenance I think they are lying, I don’t know but everyone thinks it’s not working at all and it’s gotten too old to fix anymore.
@@dogytwa7295 errr no. It was down all year as parts overseas were massively delayed due to COVID. Its openening again soon. It does have overly sensitive sensors that trigger easily causing stoppages + the chain wears easily, requiring often replacements + the lift hill motor has had problems in the past.
Great video as always! Movie World is a fantastic park (and my favorite out of all of them on the coast) and we're very lucky to have it here in Australia.
I'm from the UK but went here when I was younger, watching the videos back of meeting characters and watching the parades makes me so happy. I home one day to be able to take my husband and kids as well. This video is great and brings back some memories.
The thing I most agree on is affordablity. I have been to all the theme parks at Gold Coast. And ever since movie world rose the price of fast track to 150 I completely. Agree with you.
@@macknewmann $200per person realy wow...now that's shooting them self in the foot...but as parks are incredibly expensive to run and they make no money from genral entrance that explains why they need to sell the merch and food expensive but now they want to make a profit from all the people that go there as cheaply as possable.
Trust me it’s better than he says but the lines ARE VERY LONG so I would recommend you get a fast pass which is AUS $99.00 (USA $69.50) there aren’t that many people in fast track lanes but it only correspond with following rides: DC Rivals Hypercoaster, Green Lantern, Justice League 3D, Superman Escape, Road Runner, Scooby Doo, Wild West Falls and DC Doomsday
Thinking of a day trip to Gold Coast from Sydney taking the 8am flight and heading back to Sydney on any last available flight. Is there any direct transport(besides taxi and Uber) from Gold Coast airport OOL to Warner Bros and back to the airport? I'm afraid the transport in Gold Coast would cost me a lot of time (and money) if I decide to move ahead with this plan. Thanks
Definitely not a bad idea for a history video! I’ll chuck it on our list. Thanks! We were aware of the park, but I wasn’t aware of how extensive the history is. It was briefly owned by Warner Bros which explains the clone, but it’s changed hands a lot since then. - Dom
Allow me to explain: That park is called Movie Park Germany which has Nickelodeon themed rides and a star trek ride, it's a movie themed park that actually used to be Warner Bros Movie World Germany. Yes, there were 2 movie world's, but then Warner Bros sold the park later on, and All the rides got re-themed.
There were 3 Movie Worlds: Australia, Germany, Spain. The one in Spain still exists, changed its name to Parque Warner and is now owned by Parques Reunidos, the same company that also owns the Movie Park Germany, which operated as Movie World from 1996-2002. The park in Germany was built by the same company like in Australia and was a nearly a copy of the Australian one, with some differences. But they sold the park very fast to Premier Parks/Six Flags. When Six Flags left their European Division, the park was then sold again to Star Parks, who do not have the rights for the Warner characters and brands. They had to remove all those IPs and change them, until today, but it was sold again to the owner of today.
@@timmoldenettel4309 I would say The Madrid one is not a movie world anymore, since it's translated to Warner Bros Park, and also the layout is very different. They also have a another park in Abu Dhabi, But it's Called Warner Bros World.
It’s confusing… I see the same buildings like in the sister park in Germany, but in a different place inside the park. Things that have been replaced in Bottrop a long time ago, are still there… and I just have memories from my earliest childhood days over 20 years ago xd
You should definately visit Movie Park Germany someday. It's way more like Movie World used to be back in the day, even tho a lot has changed obviously, but the overall package/concept is still similar. If you go there some time, make sure to go during the Halloween season, they have by far the best Halloween event in all of Europe, wich i find personally even sometimes better than some stuff Universal does at HHN. not all the stuff, but some of it. And while i think the australian version looks better, especially in the western area and in terms of foliage, i feel Movie Park Germany offers a larger pallet of experiences when it comes to story telling and theming (and is still a pretty park when the sun is out) Also i think its funny that the smaller one of the parks is named "World" while the bigger one is just named "park" (for legal reasons, but still funny)
Whilst I don't hate Junior Driving School it should have been a brand new attraction somewhere else because as a replacement for LTRR it's incredibly weak! - Luke
See as a movie stunt fan and especially a car stunt fan, my biggest issue with Hollywood Stunt Driver 2 is that it doesn't really feel like a movie scene and more like a motorsports show. All the jumps and the rally looking cars feel less out of a movie and more an MTV show. Also I think it's a little too comedic. And that goes for both versions of Hollywood Stunt Driver as well. It just doesn't feel like a movie set the way Lights Motors Action does.
I've Might Go To Warner Bros Movie World Theme Park In Gold Coast Australia During My Australia And Hong Kong China Holiday Megatrip Next Year In November 2022. Wish Me Luck. Thanks Mate. X
I visited Warner Bros. Movie World Germany back in the days, when it still was under Warner license. I remember some of the rides here, just under a different name :) But compared to Gold Coast, the austrailian park looks much better.
Have visited this park 3 times over the years as a tourist and somehow each time i visited i get even more disappointed. Theming seemed increasingly lackluster. Flat cutout murals were everywhere. And for Warner Bro, the only thing there was DC and Loony Tunes with a scooby doo coaster. At least in the past, the police academy stunt show was actually worth seeing.'' really dont have anything good to say about this park. Dreamworld provides better experiences in just about all categories and is definitely worth more bang for your buck
we can't... has to be under the Village Roadshow licence.. plus, a Cartoon Network themed one is a bad idea as it's under one of the payed set-top box services (foxtel)
Okay so with the staff I wanna give my two cents. I have a service dog and they were beyond accommodating. Constantly checking in, queue proxy, reserved seating, giving directions to quiet areas. I think it’s worth mentioning they are heaps better then dreamworld. Dreamworld which I have been too a few times with my dog WOULDNT stop harassing my dog, everyone with a brain knows you DO NOT distract a service animal. I think movie world is really competitive with Australian theme parks in the term of Assessability and friendly staff. Also the wheelchair hire is cheap and they have cool wheel guards lmaO.
In those terms yes, Dreamworld is definitely much better in value for the amount of things to do and rides their are, also getting access to the waterpark in one admission
I’m going there in 3 week I’m going on the joker coaster is I’m tall enough super man coaster Batman drop kids roller coaster and the kids drive and the car show and THE SCOOBY-DO COASTER 😆😆😆😁😁😁😁😆😆😁😁😁😆😆
And not only this they are ripping of to interstate for kids price starting at $89 ! I mean 6 yr old can't sit everywhere n adult like me don't want to sit just a spectacular than too all theme parks are so costly especially for interstate which is pathetic or bias
@@Dayvidalerxarndar yeah but not all people like coasters but they still like rides just cause they don't like coasters doesn't mean there not intitled to have fun
@@Dayvidalerxarndar Do really need to do research, first of all so many people think MovieWorld is the biggest and greatest theme park in Australia but it really isn't, All it has is 2 minute roller coaster for a 1 hour line, Where DreamWorld is much more worth the money you pay because you get a lot of rides and attractions, you can see animals that are native and the tigers on tiger island as well as going to have a swim in WhiteWater World in the one admission. My opinion is that MovieWorld is way to overrated, MovieWorld is only hanging on by a thread which is Village Roadshows, one more bump by another theme park they're going to start losing reputation and visitors, Dreamworld are planning on building world class roller coaster by the end of 2020 or early 2021 go look for yourself loser.
I wasted my money on my yearly pass it’s got nothing for those people who don’t like coasters. I would rather go to dream world buy those yearly passes. I won’t be buying movie world yearly pass again. It’s to small to please everyone. Everyone is after being the best and scariest coasters around but your losing people like me who can’t ride coasters. So it’s boring. Your gaining people , but losing people to.
@@Dayvidalerxarndar maybe they need to think about the parents who want a thrill but don't like coasters theme parks have to cater for all people mate.
xl_TOXIC_GOD_lx that’s pretty fucken dumb mate, you are going to a amusement park and plus I can say something right now SeaWorld is the family park. Movieworld is the thrill park and wet and wild is the water park and paradise country is the zoo when you get a pass for these it is so worth it you get everything you want
May I add to all the people being mean and rude to all the people bad mouthing xl_TOXIC_GOD_Ix, Alot of people don't like roller coasters, Movie world is also way to expensive for what you get in the park, Dreamworld is much much better for families and people who don't like thrill,
smasher ok let’s see what movie world had hmmm? Dc rivals hypercoaster: really one of the best rollercoaster in the world for most rollercoaster enthusiasts Superman escape: a launch coaster with not a long layout but it packs a punch with 100km/h launch with a 40 m top hat and a great indoor section with near Disney level theming Green lantern: an s&s el loco with a wacky layout and the 3rd steepest drop in the world and some great hang time on both inversion. Scooby doo: a MACK rides wild mouse the ride itself is not that great but the theming again is pretty good and also a great ride for kids to start their rollercoaster journey and have fun. Roadrunner: just a standard vekoma family coaster there for kids to have a good time Arkham alyssum: hate it burn it down like all the vekoma slc’s. Wild West falls: a log flume but with a great drop but also one backwards the ride has good theming where needed and provides a nice splash on hot summer days Batwing spaceshot: just a s&s power tower that provides good airtime and views from the top Doomsday destroyer: a demonic looping flat ride that for people that love flat rides but rollercoaster they’ll love it. Dreamworlds: Hot wheels sidewinder: a arrow looper with a custom layout and pretty funky layout only complaint it’s roughness. Motocoaster: dreamworld day it’s a thrill ride but it’s to weak for that and be a good family ride. Madagascar: same layout as roadrunner but inverted but cmon it doesn’t need those bulky restraints it cause pain every time but good family ride Buzzsaw: the best ride at dreamworld atm a 180 chain lift it’s wacky to say the least And if you don’t like rollercoaster you can clearly see that movieworld is thrill based so it’s more there fault then
Wild West area is not open the food place there is all closed and the ice cream shack is shut. Is shit park people brought first time ever a yearly pass and never again. I will pay for dream world tickets more ride for all people.
This place is very overrated. Do not get sucked in by the 7day passes, not only do you spend 40min waiting in line with all the the idiot tourists like us to get a photo pass, you’ll blow through here before lunchtime. The coasters are fun if thats your thing, but thats it. Its a giant yawnfest with more merch shops than things to do. Avoid.
I totally agree, so many people think MovieWorld is the biggest and greatest theme park in Australia but it really isn't, All it has like you said is 2 minute roller coaster for a 1 hour line, Where DreamWorld is much more worth the money you pay because you get a lot of rides and attractions, you can see animals that are native and the tigers on tiger island as well as going to have a swim in WhiteWater World in the one admission. My opinion is the same MovieWorld is way to overrated
im sorry, movie is rather boring now, i went there earlier this year and yawn....first time i went was in the late 90's...now thats the movie world iwant back
