The logo history of Warner Bros. Television Studios essentially began in 1955 when the company was founded by executive producer William T. Orr as Warner Bros. Television. In that year, the studio had a black and white shield with the "WB" lettering incorporated on it. Color variants of the logo exist, and the logo lasted from 1955 to 1967. In late 1967, Warner Bros. was acquired by Seven Arts Productions, though the acquisition occurred in a merger with Seven Arts. With this, the company was rebranded as Warner Bros.-Seven Arts Television. Its logo featured the W7 Shield, which lasted from 1967 to 1970. In 1970, Seven Arts demerged from Warner Bros.-Seven Arts, and Kinney National Company acquired Warner Bros. for US$64 million. With this, the television company was rebranded as, once again, Warner Bros. Television. Its logo featured, again, the WB Shield, except this time with a byline that said "A Kinney National Company". This logo lasted for approximately two years, and in 1972, Warner Communications Inc. acquired the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. Also, in 1972, Warner Bros. Television dropped the Kinney National byline from their logo, replacing it with the byline, "A Warner Communications Company". Yet again, Warner Bros. Television's logo features the golden WB Shield superimposed against a teal background. Another logo Warner Bros. Television used was the Warner Communications logo superimposed against a red background, with the logo not quite sandwiched in between the text "Warner Bros. Television" and the byline "A Warner Communications Company". That logo lasted, like the first logo Warner Bros. used from the very beginning, except a little longer, between 1972 and 1985. In 1985, while being owned by Warner Communications, Warner Bros. Television updated their logo, superimposing the WB Shield against the big blue sky. The byline, "A Warner Communications Company", remained until 1990, when Time Inc. agreed to a merger with Warner Communications Inc., which was rebranded as Time Warner, Inc. At this time, the only thing that changed in Warner Bros. Television's logo was the byline, "A Time Warner Company". In 1993, the byline changed to "A Time Warner Entertainment Company". In 1998, Warner Bros. celebrated their 75th anniversary of the film company's foundation in April 1923. Warner Bros. Television updated their logo to reflect this celebration. In 1999, the logo changed, with the Time Warner Entertainment byline still remaining on Warner Bros.'s logo until 2001, when AOL merged with Time Warner, which rebranded as AOL Time Warner. At this time, Warner Bros. Television's newly-updated logo featured a byline that read "An AOL Time Warner Company". That byline was removed from Warner Bros. Television's logo in 2003. In 2005, Warner Bros. Television celebrated the 50th anniversary of their foundation in 1955. The next year, this reversed. Warner Bros. Television even collaborated with DC Comics on TV shows produced by DC Comics and Warner Bros. in the 2010s. In 2021, Warner Bros. updated their logo with newly-enhanced CGI animation. Warner Bros. Television updated its logo to reflect this change. The byline, "A WarnerMedia Company", was also added to its new logo. One year later, Warner Bros. was acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery, and the byline was changed to "A Warner Bros. Discovery Company". Another year later, Warner Bros. updated their logo, with Warner Bros. Television updating its to reflect that change. The byline, "A Warner Bros. Discovery Company", remains as of today.
