@@dyltan yeah they eat riceballs veggies they also eat stuff like cooked animals its been seen in the first anime but it raised confusion because people didnt know if there were real animals in pokemon or not

Just gonna clear this one up. Plants don't feel pain, they just send chemical messages through their system to say: "Hey, just lost a branch. Can we grow it back?" See, plants don't have a nervous system, but are able to communicate and even have the ability to transfer nutrients to one another. Upon a natural tear as opposed to a cut, growth-regulating hormones are sent to the affected area and a new shoot will appear from the nearest or most convenient node.
If Vegans don't mind eating plants because they don't show extreme and complex reactions like animals, maybe they could eat an Chikorita or any plant pokemon, since, if we are going by the logic that plants don't emmanate extreme levels of pain ( even if they feel them ), maybe plants pokemon follow the same logic. Idk, food for thought.
@@Atlasworld2005To be fair, it is not THAT dark. Like, yeah, they obviously eat Pokemons. Just like we eat animals. It's disturbing seeing them be butcher. But the act of eating meat is likely just as common to then as it is to us
Well in the anime like world of pokeomon it does not look too bloody or graphic when it is prepared, and it tastes like chicken, so if interdimensional travel to the anime Pokemon dimension is discovered, and I took a vacation there, I might try this.

From what I've gathered from the game, pokemons that are eaten seems to only be pokemon that can regenerate their body parts. There is one exception in the anime that I remember where they ate fish that seemed to be Magicarp. So hopefully Chikorita is not cannonicaly edible.
This makes sense though. These are their animals in the world of pokemon. Of course they'd eat em. I remember there was an episode of the show where they even talked about farfetch'd tasting good.

Why....why is this even a thing? I know in Pokemon some Pokemon get eaten or even die but you didn't have to put so much detail into how their cooked man. Out here traumatizing Pokemon fans
