You're my hero. I watched four other RU-vid videos. None offered a solution to my S7 Camera Failed message. The third solution you offered, the one with the phone keypad method, was the right one. Thank you, Ricardo!
Thank you for posting this video! You have been the savior of my phone. I haven't been able to use my camera for 3 months. I've done everything in this video including a hard reset and nothing was working. I've also taken it to 2 repair places with estimates of over $200. No one could really figure out what was wrong and wanted to replace the front camera. It wasn't until the very last minute of your video when you suggested pressing on the screen that I tried that. That worked! Apparently the front camera connection had come a little loose and all it took was a press on the top of the screen. Thank you so very much for your help! EDIT: Worked for 5 minutes then had to get get motherboard replaced. Thanks for the tip though. Could very well be someone else's fix-all.
After watching many other videos about a fix, yours was the first one that correctly addressed the problem. You are the true master without a doubt! Thanks for your assistance.
best video by FAR for how to fix your camera!! Had to watch several before i found this one, but no one has any where near the number of fixes you show... Thank you!!!
Thank you, have a tecno camon cm, back camera stopped working when it fell from the first floor of my hostel, cleared the camera cash and data, then off whatsapp access and restarted the phone. Now my camera is working perfectly. Thanks
Mine was doing this and here is something I observed and an interesting solution. Nothing I did following all the suggestions, hints, tips here on RU-vid and across the Web would work. I even factory reset the phone and still it happened to the point where I was considering taking it to the shop for repair. It was at this point that I noticed while going through various menus / apps etc that in the swipe down notification tray that the "torch" icon was showing it was in the "on" position i.e the icon was highlighted in blue but no amount of pressing it would cancel it however the LED camera flash was not physically on that is to say there was no light shining. I have the "All In One" toolbox app installed whereupon it gives you the option to install a Torch plugin so I decided to give it a go and installed it. The torch plugin gives you two options to control the main front screen which it lights up as a bright plain white wallpaper and the other option to actually control the camera flash LED with an on / off toggle button. I turned on the LED and it lit up (as per a torch) and turned it off. I then checked the "torch" icon in the notification drop down menu and it had switched off and wasn't highlighted in blue. I then clicked the camera and it switched back on and returned to normal operation. So that was my discovery and it worked, so hope that helps anyone.
I haven't been able to fix my phone either!!! I too noticed that the flashlight is showing "on" but it isn't actually. I do not have the "all in one" toolbox app...should I install it?
This is great! It fixed my problem. My issue was that WhatsApp did NOT have permissions for the camera or media files. I enabled that access in WhatsApp and my camera works again.
Hi Ricardo, I just wanted to thank you very much for your tips - my camera's now working - hooray! I went through all your tips, but taking out the battery and sim card was the magic one : )
Thank you so much my camera had this problem for almost 2 months i saw everyvideo on youtube it didn't work the first camera solution was my thing the moment i cleared my cache and data my camera was working perfectly
Thank you so much for this video. I have tried many methods to recover my phone from camera failure but none worked. After applying your methods ,now my camera is working perfectly 🥰 .Thanks again......thanks a lot ❤❤
3 option already no result *#7353# Didn't pop up that section at all. Let's see if I could fix in another ways.... Thank you mate was really helpful. It stated work after safe mode. I will keep others tricks in mind!!!
OML THIS HELPED SO MUCH TYSMMMMMM MY PHONE IS BACK TO NORMALL YAYY (but 1 thing um if the notifacation of the stop safe mode is not there just restart your phone) BUT TYSMMM
I've done all these, more than once, very carefully. Here's the really interesting part, both front and back camera are black, I get the camera failure warning ***BUT*** I can take selfies on Facebook Messager. NOTHING else.
1. turn off your phone 2. take out sim card and hit your finger around the camera 3. place the sim card back inn 4.start your phone This worked for me, and i tried everything
Great video really helpful but didn't sort my issue even after resetting the phone...was about to give up and then gave my Samsung S8 three finger flicks on the camera lense and hey presto it worked. Guess the focus lens of the camera maybe got stuck and the three finger flicks help free it up. Thanks again for the share though some great information :-)
the Safe mode way worked for me. I turned on safe mode, camera didn't work but when I switched back to default the camera was good as new. Hope this helps someone.
Clearing the cache didn't work for me. However, since there's another option which says "clear data" then I tried it. That worked for me. It restarted my camera settings without deleting the softwares. Did this on S7.
It works also on s8 actives as well thanks. None of the others worked on my s8 active but u saved me I can now take pictures of my work so I don't get fired thanks very much. Edit: never mind it broke down again
