Hello Denise; I have found Karen to be just that too.! I've had the priviledge of speaking with Karen a few times recently and it's like we've known each other our whole lives. So happy you could open up with Karen so we could hear what Canada has done in not protecting its children. The First Nations here were taken care of horribly by the church and state to the extent that we see it as a genocide. So glad we lived to tell about it. I too lost my younger brother when he was in his 20's. It was a devastating blow because we were beatten too, as the school curriculum used to impose on kids. Sending my love and healthful vibes to us wt escapees.

Right on, Karen and Denise. The Watchtower Society's Governing Body is rotten to the core with lying, hypocrisy, and false teachings. They not only condone sexual abuse against children in their congregations, but they discourage elders and victims of that abhorrent crime from reporting their abusers to police and other law enforcement authorities. That's the age of reason. I was raised Catholic and always thought the Mary worship was off. I was 13 when my Narc mother forced me to be confirmed Catholic. In my 20s I studied with JWs for a few years, I was thrilled to find the "Truth" lol I attended every meeting but couldn't do the field service because of nerves, which caused some to look down on me. I slowly started seeing through the nonsense and a random stranger told me that Jehovah isn't God's name it's Yahweh and that JW's were pushing the worldly name for God. oh the irony of that. They use the excuse that the "world" accepts that name so they go with it. That really helped me wake up. G'day from Western Australia.
@@denisealmeida5296I am so sorry you went through this. I had no idea. His funeral wasn’t even at the KH I never understood why it wasn’t but I am so sorry they wouldn’t even let you come. He was a lovely man I was a single mom and he was the only one who would have get togethers and invite me and my kids which I was always so grateful for. We have lovely memories of those times. I hope you keep going as I totally have experienced similar things with the elders. It’s very frustrating. Thanks for sharing your story!
I was shunned at my fathers funeral. Also, my dad loved a particular young elder that “they” used to preform the eulogy. The young elder said during it., we will see him in paradise. Which, my dad had not been baptized. Why would he make that mistake?! Because they don’t care. There was certainly no love coming from the eulogy. 🤨🙄🙄😬
