Some people don't really understand raising hens is time consuming as well. Let us not forget it cause money. Don't be fooled when Tractor Supply is selling baby chicks for $5... That's the catch. They sell the chick for cheap. But if you're just starting out, you are going to spend hundreds of dollars!
Also do not be fooled buy Instagram, Tik Tok cute chicken videos. Because they are not showing you the behind the scenes hard work. Planning on going away for that 2 week vacation!? Think again. Who's going to take care of the hens while you're gone. This just the tip of the iceberg of things that people don't think about before purchasing chicks.
