If you use a Devilbiss SleepCube or Intellipap device, it's vital to know that it is FULL of the same PE-PUR foam that caused the Philips Recall and you should replace it. No recall was announced, and the FDA and other health bodies like the Australian TGA have said nothing about it. Just want you to know. Cheers
Thanks to Jeya for sharing the vid with me; there are also a lot more pics on our Facebook group from other users.

Thank you so much for keeping our community informed. The actions taken by that manufacturer are shameful.

Cheers, to be honest i feel bad for Devilbiss. I believe them when they say "they haven't had any reports". Philips certainly knew about the problems but i don't think Devilbiss did. Cheers

Hey buddy, awww you didn't need to send me any money but thank you very much. I did a video on this a few years back but i doubt the FDA will do anything about it because they have their hands full with Philips . All the best mate. Cheers Nicko

Good gawd that is just horrible. Based on the video you did announce the discontinuation of this product, I knew in my heart this wasn’t going to end well. The manufacturer thought they could simply walk away which is cowardly, disgusting and shameful. Hope all is well with you Nicko and fam…sending love to all from the NW part of the US.

I had one of these for many years but bought a different one as soon as you mentioned something about them a few years ago. Thanks for your great help! I wonder if I should dig mine out of the cupboard and pull it apart to see how bad the foam decay is? Maybe I'd better not, I'll probably just scare myself.

Just FYI - I nound bubbles in the water of my ResMed Airsense 11. I touched the bubbles with a paper towel to see if it was simply a bubble or what. Broke the bubble. On the paper towel, there was black stuff everywhere a bubble touched the paper towel. I took the machine and ONE of the paper towels in a ziploc bag to the local supply house that sells ResMed. It took them, as I remember, a couple of weeks to get back with me and say the company didn't find anything wrong with it, they tightened screws, figured it just must be dust or something. BS. The supply house sent it to ResMed, which is who checked it out. Luckily, I saved the other paper towel with the black stuff on it, in a ziploc bag, and I want to get someone else to check it out. I just don't know who or how. They ought to be able to test it because the black is in several places on the paper towel. I haven't used the machine since. I'm using a different one till I find out what the deal is with the black stuff.

@@jobiet have you used a SoClean ozone cleaner on your AirSense 11? From watching some of Niko’s prior videos, it seems that ResMed doesn’t use the same kind of foam that Philips or this other company did, but ozone will still cause the ResMed foam to deteriorate.

That's huge!!! BUT... it may explain why these companies don't want customers to have "right to repair". They have to spend multi millions in design & research (possibly a huge fail here though) and if they agree to right to repair then are they legally able to waive their responsibilities to claims should things go pair shaped? Acids in fingers can degrade rubbers & foams for example (But I doubt in this case) but some repairers may also attempt to clean the internal foam if it looks dusty with detergents that may cause this very issue. OK... back to this particular video.... Phillips, you can run but you can't hide. You've taken on the task of producing medical equipment & I'll be keep to hear what you have to say.
