I bought one and it's very good indeed. Unfortunately the main reason I bought it was for using as a back-up navigation device. I didn't see one review mention that it lacks a GPS receiver, so it doesn't work for navigation at all. Fortunately my wife has one that does work, so we can swap, would be rather annoyed otherwise. I thought GPS was a basic, standard function nowadays, all my previous tablets going back to a couple of Sony Z4's had it.
That's very interesting and not somethibg I have cone across before. I suppose most tablets are not used for navigation and would think if tethered to mobile device would work fine perhaps you are onto something
@@New-w4b oh really. Well firstly check your charging brick and cable. Both have to be capable or fast charging and then the settings of the tablet but normally by default it allows for fast charging.
@@New-w4b correct. Those will be the most compatible and will likely get you the best charging speeds. The device often knows that you are not using the branded devices and will limit charging for safety.
Thank you for the review! Could you elaborate on the comparisons you mentioned in the video? Ive been told that Lenovo's strength does not lie in tablets, so interesting to hear what you said. Personally am comparing it with the Samsung Fe+9 but here its double the price. About to go right ahead with this purchase so your thoughts on anything at better value would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your questions. Well when it comes to tablets you have options depending on your region Samsung is popular but not great value. Consider the OnePlus Tablet if you can get it or Xiaomis latest offering. I however was impressed by the Lenovo tablet as it came with the additional stylus.
Late seeing this video, but very impressed by your review presentation style. Your approach was very human like and every day use consideration, rather than trying to be flashy or techy RU-vidr. Have a sub, like this type of content as seems real and believable.
Lenovo P12 are the other variaant but...with Lenovo no 120hz, no Snapdragon, no 8 speakers, more heavy Lenovo, no Anti-glare glass protection, camera only 8mp instead of 13mp...so i will choose this Honor PAD9.
There are compatibility issues bw this and my iphone 13. Usb cable doesnt transfer anything , cant connect to phone hotspot , literally nothing. Any solutions ??
Yes teething to old iPhones on Android is always tricky (Apple liked it that way) if you want to send files from IPhone to Android I highly recommend an app called LocalSend. Hotspoting is often to with your network and the mobile device.
If this were compared to Samsung Tab S9 fe, office workflow wise leaning with S9 because integrated 365 office but need the higher res screen from the Honor for video and photo editing on the go. Which is better in your opinion?
Does honor pad 9 keyboard work with samsung tab S9? I ask this because I own samsung tab and I am looking to buy honor pad 9 for my dad. He doesn't really need the keyboard and I am wondering if I could use it..😅
will be 1st time wanna buy a pen-use tab, would like to know if let say the tablet used screen protector, will it affect the pen functionality? like not smooth or dull sensor
It's a great question and this tablet did not have a built on screen protector as far as I could feel and it did feel extremely premium to the touch with the finger and would imagine it would feel the same with a stylus.
That's great question and really it gonna come down to software over hardware. If you like or use ONE UI then it's simple but if you don't mind either will be a great choice.
Well Honor do have their own version of a compatible stylus but I would suggest doing research based on your region as I cannot be sure what works for me does so for you.
It's a very good question and I was going to compare the two. They are both great tablets but you need to assess whether getting a stylus in the box means more to you (Lenovo). They are very similar devices with great everyday use but gaming will be limited. What do you need it for?
Lenovo P12 are the other variaant but...with Lenovo no 120hz, no Snapdragon, no 8 speakers, more heavy Lenovo, no Anti-glare glass protection, camera only 8mp instead of 13mp.But P12 are great, no lag, good display and sound, P12 its another great tablet.
