So many of these comments are people hating on Cheryl. I mean I get it she's made some bad decisions, but that's why I like her. Well written characters have consistent desires that often conflict with their core motivators. However their motivators are present in every major descision they make. Cheryl is driven with a thirst for knowledge/discovery and power. But her secondary desires make her flawed just like a real person. No one is perfect, every descision she makes- makes sense if you consider her motivators and conflicting desires. She's consistent 👌
Yeah but when your decisions could potentially rip time I think that’s a good point to put things into perspective. Its perfectly fine to hate a character. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad character it just means that when putting her actions into perspective, she’s being really reckless. Recklessness is a great character flaw but of course people aren’t gonna like her because that flaw and everything she’s doing hurts our protagonist, Dad. And I’m sure we can agree everybody loves Dad, so it makes total sense people don’t like her.
Some of the most hated characters in fiction are hated because of how well they're written. Joffrey from Game of Thrones for example, he was so well written and acted that I still don't think his death was violent or painful enough.

if Crothers is telling Cheryl to bring back Nathan to the present, then why hasn't she already done that? Would the time travel aspect of things cause Nathan to be back exactly when Cheryl wants him to be back? I mean, by the time she'd be grabbing Nathan for him to come back to present time, if she just went back a little bit she probably wouldn't enter the time machine to grab him since past Cheryl who had already time traveled to bring him back would be earlier than the version of Cheryl that would start the time travel process of grabbing Nathan, causing those events not to happen? It's a question I ask with every instance of Time Travel that occurs in tv shows and other media, because all it takes is to arrive one second previous to when you left and all of a sudden now the world's falling apart at the seams...
Great episode! I definitely am going to have to rewatch episodes 1 (Aevum) and this one again to evaluate the possible connections between Crothers, Aeon, and if Crothers can break through the seventh dimension (where there are multiple infinities).

I just want to talk about the word universe. Given the definitions n of the term, if we found another "universe", wouldn't it technically already be our universe? I think we use "universe" too specifically. But at the same time, we don't really have a replacement word.
So there are three different versions of Dad: Dadbot, Andan, and Nathan. We know Cheryl was doing some experiment, possibly trying to get her daughter back from being "gone", and now everything's at risk. My question is, I doubt Cheryl's working on her own? Does she have a boss she answers to?
