There are missions to get 4 units to lvl 20 each in the chapter, we need to do it to progress through the lvls. Is there anything else we can do to complete that objective without lvling different units?
7 stars units give 4 prototype pieces, 7.1 give 12, 7.2 give 36. It will permanently delete that unit in exchange for prototype pieces of the camp the unit belongs to. Once a unit is 7.2 you will need lots of prototype pieces to increase it to 8.0 all the way to 9.2.

I'm pretty late on this one, but katyusha's are generally used for unit killing. It's better at melting infantry than the howitzers, but do keep in mind because they have glass health
Get the unit to 7.2 then you will need to advanced disassemble 7.0 7.1 or 7.2 units of the same camp as the unit you want to make modern 8.0 to 9.2. all require prototype pieces from the same camp. But the first step is make a 7.2 and then you can get 8 prototype pieces of that specific camp to do the first upgrade to 8.0 modern.
I mean it's more than likely possible what I suggest is to join a good team do events that grant you universal tickets and buy them from black market airforce store and ground force store and vip store
Use your gold coupons on wtv day has the camp with the unit you are focusing. Save 5.1s of all kinds and when you get alot...make a bunch of 2x 6 stars of the same units so you can immediately make them 6.1. Then save up 6.1s and repeat the same process over. 4 5 6 and 7 stars need to have exactly the same unit but 4.1 5.1 6.1 and 7.1 can take any unit of that camp.
