The game devs hired a movie editing & production company to make this. The company made worked on many films, such as *Sputnik, HBO’s Chernobyl, Furious* They also worked on game trailers like *War Thunder*
*Girl breaks up with boy over game* *Girl gets a new boyfriend with 50,000,000 power* Andrew Tate, “This is why being a man is so hard nowadays!” (it’s a joke) doesn’t take it seriously
@@asinaperditor2646 Most likely they wanted to disable the frontal machine gun or viewing window. Such shots from large-caliber anti-tank rifles were a common practice to reduce the effectiveness of enemy tanks
The most beautiful thing in this clip is the music. This is a Russian children's song in which a boy asks that there be no war and there be peace on earth. The melody of the song was rewritten but the meaning remained
@@whaky6294 You only say that because you were comparing notes of how wars back then in WW1-WW2 were a slugfest and not fast enough as films portrayed. Various wars is often played either a slow game of attrition or offensive blitzkrieg. Honestly you shouldn't say you know about war. Talk to veterans, they know the horrors and gruesome details about it.
@@richard0934 maybe he could make it on the battle of Kiev, or the more famous one of Stalingrad, or the legendary battles of Moscow and Berlin, if you wanna make a movie based on the war between Germans and Soviets there's plenty of material.
Plot twist: the studio just wanted to make a war movie but they can't get funding for it so they decide to pretend they are making a mobile game to get funding
Realistically, you put more money in adverts to hopefully cash in later. But yeah... All this effort for a mobile. Hopefully they get their investment, otherwise that trailer would have been in vain
Okay, during the last battle scene with all the soldiers rushing around, if you slow it down, you can see how much TIME they put into this. With weapons, uniforms, facial expressions, all that. Even if a soldier only is on screen for a second, and is being killed, everything is so detailed!
True, except for the fact that the Germans have 90% MP40s. There's like 1 K98 and 1 StG. Though that might be an homage to older movies which this does kind of remind me of.
worst thing is that by this time, some of us are just looking at such trailers and be done with it. because we already know it is the only thing about the game that gives us actual thrill and excitement
Netflix? Try most Hollywood productions. That was fantastic, like award winning short film fantastic. Historical details were fudgy (head to head battles like that with infantry colliding is not historic) but the costumes, props and most of the damn details were magnificent.
a little about the song used in the trailer (since that’s what brought me here) by someone who’s writing a thesis on Soviet song. The song is called Пусть всегда будет солнце (May there always be sun) made famous by Tamara Miansarova, originally performed by Maya Kristalinskaya on the all union radio in June of 1962. Tamara Miansarova won the VIII festival of youth and students in 62 with this song and then the international song festival of Sopot in 63. The song has simple lyrics that speak of peace and represent the Soviet youth’s desire for a peaceful and happy world. The chorus was written by a 4 year old boy in 1928. The writer of the song became inspired by those four lines and wrote the rest of the song based on it. Here are the lyrics in English: The Sun in the form of a circle1 And the sky is around the Sun That's a boy's drawing. He drew it on a sheet (of paper) And wrote on its corner: "Let the Sun be forever! Let the sky be forever! Let my mother be forever! Let me be evermore! (x2)" Hey, soldier, be quiet! Soldier, do you hear How people are scared by explosions? Thousands of eyes are looking at the sky, And lips keep saying stubbornly: "Let the Sun be forever! Let the sky be forever! Let my mother be forever! Let me be evermore! (x2)" We will stand for our boys Against affliction And war. "The Sun for life! Happiness for life!" That's what man asked for. Let the Sun be forever! Let the sky be forever! Let my mother be forever! Let me be evermore! (x2) Let me be evermore! Another fun fact: the song was featured in the 2014 olympics in Sochi. hope someone found this interesting, and hope the game is even half as cool as the trailer 🤗
The people who worked on this trailer are a talented bunch. The music, the feeling of hopelessness war brings, the amazing shots and the actors are way too talented to have worked for a mobile game.
Mobile game or not. Let's appreciate the actual makers and directors, actors and set pieces which went into the trailer. Really awesome. Music and editing was great, too.
In times of war they are enemies, in the end times of life and death battle they are nothing more then humans. Fighting to survive. Everyone is the same. They are all humans no matter what side they are.
The way the short film conveys the horrors of war is so detailed; around 1:41, the focus transitions from the soldier shooting to the one in the background, with a horrified / shocked expression. Even the shooting soldier's expression seems to change during the transition, from a look of anger to regret.
@@GloriousChickenYT in terms of visual effects (which this trailer is praised for), no other country's film industry is on par with hollywood's . Hollywood also has a made a lot of acclaimed war movies. its not an insult.
It’s by the company by PostmodernDigital, they have worked on many many movies, such as *Furious, Sputnik, HBO’s Chernobyl* even games such as *War Thunder* So, yeah they already did a long time ago
Tiger 1s didn't exist in Stalingrad though. And if 2:34 is Battle of Britain why are there P51 Mustangs instead of Spitfires? And at 0:01 why is the General wearing the Friedrich Wilhelm Prussian iron cross from the Napoleonic wars?
@@PRIVILEGE_YELLOW Stalingrad happened in 1942 and Tigers AREN'T even produced yet. 1943 was Kursk where Tigers saw action for the first time on the Eastern front By your comment are you saying that Stalingrad happened in 1943 or something?
@@justsomeguyonyoutube3258 Tiger 1s were being produced by the time Stalingrad happend , although they were far from the frontlines and were few in number
Wow, a mobile game trailer that isn't "OMG this is so hard!" or "Only 1% of people can beat" This truly is a masterpiece Edit: Also bonus points at 3:28 for depicting a rocket launcher right with it having no recoil unlike 99% of other movies and tv shows where recoiless weapons have recoil for some odd reason
except the Soviets were historically fighting for survival and the nazis were fighting to exterminate everyone Polish and Soviet east of Berlin for "lebensraum" or living space aka German colonization.
@@lulzalfest that is true but you have to realize that it was the high ranking officers of the SS aka nazi’s who wanted that. The low ranking soldiers really didn’t have much of a choice, fight for their country or get labelled a traitor/deserter and be killed alongside their family. These were young men with hopes and dreams manipulated by bitter old men.
one of the only pieces of media to actually display both sides, especially the Germans, as both equal and as people in the end. a powerful and emotional piece of film, absolutely amazing.
Бесподобно... Видеоряд, музыка- ВСЁ! Воссоздали и оживили знаменитое фото Комбата, который погиб через несколько секунд после снимка. Ком в горле и слёзы на глазах.
As confusing as why such an amazing video was made to be a trailer for a simple mobile game. I'm still thanking all that made this. Thank you for your hard work.
This trailer showed how that German kid was all excited for war on the truck and then when he was in battle he was stunned. crazy man. The horrors of war.
@bigredbud the 1 can’t be help, Herman’s Goering was that confident in his Luftwaffe. Just take a look at his quote "My Luftwaffe is invincible... And so now we turn to England. How long will this one last - two, three weeks?".
Fun fact. At 1:47 the armor that soldier is wearing is real. It is the “Steel Breastplate” or “Stalnoi Nagrudnik” and was developed in the Soviet Union during WWII. It was assigned to combat engineers.
Yes, it was a real piece of gear One detail a like in this trailer is that the plate bounced one round, but further fire took it down quite fast. With a switch rifle round. Like this the armour doesn’t make it’s user look like a impervious juggernaut or bulldozer. Without looking useless either.
See, this just makes me think whoever was in charge of these things just wanted to make a piece of art, so they made a pact with the typical mobile corporation.
-Hey man, we are making a new mobile war game and we need a trailer. The money is not an issue so don’t worry about the budget, but nothing too crazy. Is just a mobile game - K.
The sad part about it, I'm pretty sure that when the Russian kid looks at the German kid, he's probably thought to himself "got you you son of a.....doesn't seem like a bad dude, why are we killing each other again?" Before dying together
There was a book written many years ago about the Algonquin Regiment of Canada - called Warpath, from when the boys of Northern Ontario were trained, sent to the east coast, stole a train and went for a joyride, went to England then to fight in Europe. Amazing book. Worth a read if you can find one.
