WARPSTONES ADD-ON REVIEW: NEW Minecraft Fast Travel System made complicated! 

Hey everyone! We had made a patch for this on wednesday that removed the crystals that were required for teleportation. It made it a lot simpler and less grindy. Unfortunately it seems like that had not made it into the video but no worries! If you have any suggestions, please let us know in the comments below. We will be checking them. Also thank you ecko for the video, we appreciate it and the feedback :D Patch notes: -The warpstone travel has been nerfed, the cost of travel is now free. -The crafting recipes of the cosmetic warpstones have been nerfed, they are much easier to craft. -The level required to unlock new warpstones have been nerfed, the first unlock cost 7 levels and scales by 2 till level 30.

Don't quote me on this, but i believe mythicus is removing the need for the warp crystals entirely, so it should be significantly simpler and cheaper, thankfully. Im not a big fan of the ammount of exp required to unlock more stones, but i get it tbh, it would feel too op to be able to have however many instant teleport points without any work, makes it feel more paced.

I'm really happy with spark portals, it works very well and it's customizable. This add-on makes something like fast travel a chore when it's supposed to be convenient. I'd advise people to go with spark portals.

this comment section is filled with bots, i wish RU-vid actually did something to prevent bot comments, their moderation system is awful, like it's so easy for my normal comments to be removed and or me get shadow banned, but it doesn't even really stop the bots at all

Ecko I do see some opportunity for that add-on and maybe some base traveling as well and I can understand that making some of the way stones can be expensive and unlocking more way stones should be less expensive but overall I think that u did a good job as always

I totally agree, the recipes are way too complicated and expensive! I don’t see the need first so many different types of waystones. Glad you reviewed this because I expected it to be similar to waystones I have seen in java mods. I was going to get it but not after seeing how it works. Keep up the amazing content! Does anyone know, where can I upload my own Minecraft maps? What apps can I install in order to upload them to the public?

I would love to have this add on over the portal on but only after they fix it to be easier and cheaper to use until then I'll only use the portal add on.

You should do the celebration food add on it has more then food and the book/guide is perfect

If this would have come out at the same time as spark portals and didn't require the crystals then it would have been a head to head race but at this point it's not even a question

Maximum number of waystones is only 30. Spark Portals is 160. The only good it does is that it’s smaller and looks better.

I will have to disagree with your claims with some of the warp stones being too expensive because all of them work the same it is just a cosmetic differences which personally seems okay you could just use the basic one for an entire world. If they made you use the end crystal one to teleport to the end then i would call Mega BS. Im on the fence for the EXP unlocking and the crystals. I agree that teleporting to wherever you want without any cost or restrictions is too OP but having EXP restrictions to it is too precious of a resource to use and hard to get a tons of for this add on to work good for an average player for that they need to change that. The crystals seem fineish to me because again teleporting without any cost is too overpowered but the crystals take up space especially if you need to go through multiple dimensions transporting items across. While the Creative crystal is pretty okay because it removes the use of the other 3 crystal being needed for going through all dimensions and its super hard to make so it is the last thing you would make in a survival world where you have completed everything so now the world is your oyster that you could do anything in. But yeah removing all crystals and exp restrictions is a must do but have to be replaced by something else.

they updated this so there’s no more crystals and they changed the recipes, still need the wand but at least theres no crystals

It sounds like this add-on is really cool, esthetically, like the warmstones all look really cool and may definitely look nicer than having portals littering your base. But even though they look nicer and are more compact than a portal, many people are able to make really amazing-looking portal rooms to compensate for that. The price for the add-on itself isn't too bad. But the cost of making many of the warpstones as well as the crystals is far too much. I was looking forward to this add-on, but now, knowing its faults, I'm not ready to buy it now. Thank you, Echo, for all of your videos and reviews! They are so very helpful!

Love your add-on videos! Do you know if it's possible for someone to make a spawn radius add-on that could be available in the marketplace, or should I stop hoping?

Can you put addons on regular survival worlds? And is there a limit on how many addons you can do?

Thankfully I got it after the recent update, cause the version in this video would make it way to expensive to use.

I reallly like the designs for the other warpstones. But they definitely shouldn't make it super expensive especially if it's purely cosmetic. Also, i like that exp is involved to not make it too op because ngl, no normal player is gonna use more than 6 of these and it's free use afterwards. They could've also went the java route and make it so that each teleport requires exp that scales with the distance your travelling but it's probably a bit too hard to code into bedrock. The wand and crystals can definitely be removed or made cheaper/inf use. So overall it's not bad, not the best but it's aight, if it was a paid marketplace addon 😐. There's a waystone addon on mcpedl that you could uhhhh.. download for free that isn't crippling to your wealth.

why don't they require emerald blocks or emeralds instead of totem of undying? emeralds fit with villager warpstone

I just want update 1.21, it's really a great update, but I wish Minecraft would change some simple things like adding the left hand like Java and making the dispenser block put the armor stand instead of throwing it this will give more possibilities for building within the Bedrock, because Java requires powerful devices and I wish they had added a beekeeper job as well and most importantly of all, update the End dimension. I mean, for your sake, guys, the End dimension revolves around killing the dragon and obtaining the Elytra only. 😊😊😊

I think it is really cool

I like the idea of the more compact warpstones. I LOVE the Sparks Portals but the problem I have with them is their size. Effectively being repurposed Nether Portals, they essentially require a 4x5x1 space for each portal and at least 20-28 blocks of the same color for them to be useful. The blocks develop ornate designs after activating the portals with makes it a shame to just make the portal inside of a wall. These smaller warping devices would make for a perfect "field waypoint" that I would feel doesn't require the ornate portals like a settlement, base, or special location. These warpstones are a great idea, but just need to be simplified. I'm not against what I assume the intention of the creators was, in that, the ability to teleport in a game designed to be huge and expansive should require some progression to utilize. This is a little much though. Some tweaking to make things less tedious and expensive would make this so much better. I also wouldn't be against the warpstones requiring some kind of "juice" to function, like Xp, with further warping distances or interdimensional distances costing more (maybe just the latter). This XP Cost combined with the XP Crystal Bank or World Utilities (for the Spawner Wrench to move Mob Spawners to a more favorable XP Farm location) might actually be pretty cool.

I'm a bit saddened by the fact you can't BREAK warpstones I crafted one and placed it just to look at it and then I wanted to place it in its actual location but no matter what I did, it would not break.

PORTALS addons are better honestly yeah you need obsidion and ender pearls but pretty easy compared to warpstone addon.

I dont know what the difference is between your version and mine, but there are no crystals and all the crafting recipes are a lot simpler and easier to get

I am confused how you rate your add on videos, not enough and to expensive obviously not great, but not too expensive and has a lot in it or a descent amount and yet its still not great? Or do you rate it in a survival way

Unfortunately for me. Sparksportals beat them to the punch. I see absolutely no reason to get this besides the fact that the transportation catalysts (warp stones) looking cooler and not being a big bulky portal. But its just not enough of a change for a whole new addon for me. I hope people get it though. Because it genuinely looks like a great add-on. And the fact that they updated it so quickly is a testament to that.

I'd rather pay for Spark Portals than this.

I personally like this addon a lot. I like that you have to unlock more warp stobes as you go, it adds a level of progression. Idk what warp crystals are. Ive been playing with this addon for days and have bever heard if them and can warp as many times as i want without them. The thing with spark portals for me is that i dont like the way it looks. I like that with warp stones, you can just place them in the town square and it will look good

I love the visuals of the warpstones themselves, but I do agree that the execution is terrible.

Honestly the warpstone addon is a rip off of the portals just more expensive. I wish one of the developers would add more dimensions to an addon.

And Better On Bedrock has free waystone/warp stone and can have 25 locations for free 🥲 and it’s a whole mod pack which is free
