They are also operated as a wholly independent entity that are usually a joint venture with local business consortiums usually with a 50:50 stakeholdings, so the McDonald's international presences are completely in a different arena to that of the US.

the real estate business Mcdonalds has provide them a competitive advantage making them unique world wide available day and night aiming the best margins . Also the real estate business provide them a solid ground for the future.

mcdonalds sounds like a coke type stock, recession proof, yes you "eat out" but i wouldn't call it a luxury item, a) people need to eat b) people still believe in the myth cooking is more expensive then eating fastfood, mcdonalds sounds like an amazing stock

What year did they sell MCD? and did they ever dip back in?
