Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Ancona Jazz this duo performed together for the very first time and really acoustic in the "ridotto teatro delle Muse" the 3rd of march 2013. This is a large excerpt from that unforgattable evening.
What a pleasure to see and listen to Warren Vaché in a newer video, also because, here, he plays the new cornet model that was developed under his supervision and that he mentioned already, quite a time ago, on his web-site. Warren Vaché combines the best of the American cornet tradition with a tone that British "shepherd's crook" cornets are famous for. The result is a stunning flexibility of sound expression that no one else matches neither on the cornet nor on the trumpet in jazz. He's unique, and his music is just beautiful.
