Honestly never heard of you until my older Brother passed away on 1/6/22. He was 28. This was his favorite song, a week later I can finally listen to it to understand why. Which is see now. He was a daredevil, walked the line and wasn't afraid of anything. He indeed rode the lighting and I do hope the good lord took him higher. Beautiful song.
I was also expecting a classy electric guitar and drums drop given the context of the song. But this is amazing version too. Lofi and energetic at the same time.
This was my son's first song at his funeral service. Not a dry eye in the church. None of my friends will ever forget it. Blew there minds away. Hope we made my son proud. Bless his heart. Love him so much
Just lost my young nephew, we suspect his brother and my very own son are not far behind. This song is them. We have done everything we could to help them. It's heartbreaking....😢😢😢
This has to be the best country song I've heard, in 20 years! True outlaw music. Waylon and Johnny would be proud. So refreshing, after all these years of pop country. Keep it up, bubba!!
If you like this have you listened to Bryan Martin, especially „We ride“? Might be a stupid question but as a European many people here don’t know anything about country…
Perfect analogy and mix of two shows. I can see Jax and Rip gonna take em to the train with Chibbs, Tig, Lloyd, and Ryan riding shotgun with em to fight.
My son sings this and he’s four I love he has good taste like his daddy and he loves watching and listening to me playing my acoustic so I love seeing these guys come up!! Rock on brother
This is what I call a country song. A good song that isn't so overly fake, and everything has to do with whiskey and tractors. I genuinely love this song because its a genuinely good song. Its not forced, you have true talent
Actually not a country song. Ride the lightning is a saying referring to overdosing on herion. Awesome song though with a good beat. If I'm correct Metallica has a version of the same song. If you like hard rock it's awesome. Both referring to shooting up herion.
Mama always said I was born on the wild side One foot in the flames and the other trying to walk the line Can't say I never saw it coming I could see the warning signs Mama always said I was born on the wild side I guess mama was right 'Cause when the clock strikes midnight Gonna ride the lightning Feel the thunder 'Til the darkness pulls me under Gonna fly on Wings of fire Pray the good Lord lifts me higher Singing, "Oh, when they call me home" Singing, "Oh, when they call me home" Gonna ride the lightning There's a man in a black coat standing at a crossroads With a pad in his hand and a long list of lost souls They say he flips a coin forged out of fool's gold There's a man in a black coat standing at a crossroads I hope he lets me pass by When I close my eyes I'm gonna ride the lightning Feel the thunder 'Til the darkness pulls me under Gonna fly on Wings of fire Pray the good Lord lifts me higher Singing, "Oh, when they call me home" Singing, "Oh, when they call me home" I'm gonna ride the lightning Ride the lightning Ride the lightning I'm gonna ride the lightning Feel the thunder 'Til the darkness pulls me under Gonna fly on Wings of fire Pray the good Lord lifts me higher Singing, "Oh, when they call me home" Singing, "Oh, when they call me home" Gonna ride the lightning
Never heard a song that felt this much like it was written about me and my life. Been riding the lightning and feeling the thunder since 3 years old, walking alone and praying that God will honor the fire in my heart by lifting me higher.
This song reminds me of a longshoreman named Lloyd that lived 100% by his own rules, flipped off the law, cheated death, loved him some Deadliest Catch and all things led zeppelin, Metallica and more. He didn't live to see this song but I guarantee wherever he is, he's riding the energy like a badass
Warren Zeiders is making the type of country music I want to listen to. He deserves to be added to the list of great singers he's covered like Tyler Childers, Morgan Wallen, ...and Afroman!
Went for a couple beers and a guitar jam with a couple buddies tonight, and got introduced to this singer, and this song for the first time, and was blown away by this song. THIS is the country I want to hear. This new rebel country from independent artists is all I listen to now, and this one will be on the top of my play list for a long time. Well done, keep them coming. Sure hope you make it to Canada before to long. I'd definately travel to one of the big cities, and could sit and listen to this type of music all night.
Born in a neighboring city to the big city. Can relate to actual folks like u. From the wheels that keep me rain to the beer I drink and friends I've got. It's definitely hard finding new music of such caliber
Been here listening to warren since December of 2020 back when he had like 10k monthly listeners on Spotify. Crazy to see how much he’s grown since then.
Dude you are gonna go far ..you don't know what you've done for me ..you saved my life..I've been battling addiction the past 8 years I lost my mother here recently and now I've been clean and sober going on 2 months ..without the help of your voice and your music I wouldn't have been able to keep pushing forward towards a better life... you keep doing you warren you've got a real talent don't let all the fame and shit go to your head like everyone else..
Man,i know its so hard.. Just be kind to yourself. And “keep doing” (as you said) Even a little Light can destroy great Darkness. ☀️ With respect to your Soul.🤝
Damn! Now that's country music and well done for proving all it takes is a great story and voice with just a guitar to make AMAZING music! Thank you for honing your craft. This is sooo much better than what country radio plays nowadays.
Wait that's a real place? I thought it was just were borat was from on tv lol btw if you haven't seen borat look him up he's funny as fuck hahaha hope all is well over there and hope your safe with everything going on over there right now
This song stood my hairs on end when I first heard it. So damned powerful. Plays over and over in my head when it's finished. I need more music like this in my life. Please keep up the good work!
I just discovered you and I'm impressed. I always said I didn't like country music, but I've realized that it's just that corporate industry country sucks. Independent country is awesome! Your vocal tone and quality is wicked awesome bro! This song is one of my favs to blast when I'm commuting every day. Thank you for converting me. 🤙🇺🇲
Yeah. I am a metal head, grew up in an area that only had country stations for the most part. I always said,. Real country is exactly like metal lyrics just a different sound. Anything you see on TV or CMT or the radio....is not....NOT COUNTRY. that's pop mtv country. Grabage and they should be embarrassed.
I do and belive we forgot 100% of who we are/were sometimes.... But oh the power when we remember! Especially what are loved ones who have passed on taught us.
A very humble man I’ve met singing with no music at all! Congratulations on all your accomplishments and more to come! Can’t wait to hear you play in your hometown!
Came across this song via Facebook and wow hit me hard. My mother passed away on the 26th of June this year and it's been hell every damn day. Thanks for the song huts home
You are a great fan, and I appreciate your love, kindness, support, and generosity. Thank you for believing in me and my career. I want you to know how much I appreciate all of your good deeds and the positive influence you've had on my life. Thank you would be too small to show my gratitude to you. I appreciate everything you have done for me. You are a true fan, and I am so grateful for thet. Your positivity and kindness have made an unbearable time a little bit better, and your words of encouragement inspired me during a difficult time. I appreciate you more than words can say. I hope you keep being a great fan you are?
He heard for the first time and fell in love with this song for the first time. You're a good singer and just keep going.🔥 Greetings from Czech Republic🇨🇿
I look forward to seeing a long and lucrative career from you sir. You could sing the simplest of songs and my family and I would be entranced. You were truly blessed!
This song speaks to me so freakin much....from first time i heard it. The struggle to walk the straight and narrow...you think, it should be easy. I'm a middle aged momma with a grown ass daughter...but it's not easy. I would never do anything to harm another, never, not intentionally. Wish I could do same for myself, but that is the real struggle for alot of us isn't it.
Ain't even gonna lie I absolutely love this song! I hope you continue to make music! This is my new favorite song. 🤘🤘 Ive drove my husband insane playing it over and over.
I lost my son 10/27/21 when he lost his battle with PTSD and depression he was in the Army for 10 years he was 30 years old father of 4 boys a wounded warrior now fallen hero I played this song at his funeral it breaks my heart to hear it but almost every night for the last year @ midnight (which is the time he took his life) I play it in his car that way I can feel the way he did when he was driving his car to this song...Such a Blessing
This is great!!! Thanks to some hometown posts on FB I found that you are doing some amazing things. I searched you out on RU-vid and stumbled on this song....WOW!!!! I am so proud to say that I was one of your teachers!!! God bless you as you continue your music career!!
We all have our ride on the lightning. Its what you do after the ride is over that counts. Music for the soul. Is exactly what Warren gives us. Thanks brother.
If this were around when my uncle was around I know this would have been his favorite. Absolute daredevil. Scared of nothing and Noone. His words to live by were "No Fear" I aspire to get to his level of that someday
