This movie had me in turmoil. It also had me thinking of Rocky & Here Comes the Boom! a lot, it was a mix of those put together with a hint of "let's break her into more pieces".

Agreed. Seeing him wrangle with his guilt while sober and them never showing his potentially violent drunk side made it so powerful when he was beet red screaming at him in the doorway. He was able to physically show the "devil" in him escaping in that scene unlike anything I'd ever seen. His portrayal of both sides were impeccable and heartbreaking. He deserves an Oscar for sure

Such a great film. People watch it expecting a macho action MMA film but it turns out to be an emotional story of loss, pain, redemption, love and family. Thanks for the reaction.

Forgiveness too, but I always felt it was more about Tommy forgiving himself for his PTSD from not being able to save his friend.

I didn't expect much when I began to watch it. I'd never even heard of Tom Hardy. Not ashamed to say cried my eyes out by the end..It's one of the most underrated movies of that decade..I recommend it as often as possible

Commented on this reaction over a year ago and I’m back because it’s so good. Thought it was noteworthy that Brenan’s first Sparta opponent, Midnight Le, was played by legendary MMA fighter Anthony Johnson. He was one of the most terrifying fighters in the octagon, but known to be such a gentlemen outside. He passed from cancer in 2022, but is someone we’ll always look up to

One of the best edited videos i've seen Lezy. You did a fantastic job of showing us how you felt and what you were thinking. You didn't cut your emotional moments short at all, and that is a HUGE change from those long ago reactions. Excellent choices in the clips used to tell the movie. And i'm absolutely LOVING the new editing style. Really really well done.

A true story "sports" movie that is outstanding acting is "Brian's Song" ... I do suggest you keep a box of tissues at had, as it is an extreamly sad story...at least parts of it are. The original stars James Caan as Brian Piccalo....a pro football player for the Chicago Bears. The story focus is about friendship, acceptance of others and love and the will to succeed. "Wattior" was such a touching story about family forgiveness. I've three older brothers .. I lost touch with everybody a lifetime ago... They're unaware but my heart and mind feels and remembers them daily.

When it comes to the casino scene, it's not that easy to forgive and make amends and look forward to the future when the person who hurt you is literally your father, to the point that you had to run away from your home. At least in the movie the father had drinking issues (you could make the argument he'd never do that if he was sober) People sometimes tear their families apart while everything was okay, wouldn't even call them silly problems just a laughing matter. I remember myself getting slammed and tossed across the living room just because my old man didn't want my mom's relatives to visit, when we all sat down, i was crying and trying to figure out what did i do to pisd him off, he told me something like "are you satisfied now?" when they were there, he clearly meant to say it to my mom or them but instead he vented his anger andpoured all his rage on me, a 7 yo clueless boy. Now of course this is just one of many incidents, so how am i supposed to laugh it off and hug it out?

I am sorry you experienced what you experienced. I myself have gone through enough to know it is not easy to forgive. For certain reasons I will not convey those personal experiences on social media, but I can tell you that forgiving is surely not laughing it off and hugging it out. But forgiveness is a process and a journey to freeiing yourself from what hurt you. Forgiveness does not justify a relationship eithet, but realising that holding on to those things is making you feel more miserable than letting it go, is what helps to forgive. It does not free that person from what they have done either, they have to go through their own process of mending, repenting and forgiving, but forgiveness is a process to let yourself go of what held you down, because think honestly, if you hold on to all of those terrible things, how much happiness do you feel in your life? If you don't forgive, you are depriving yourself of true healing. I do hope sincerely you will be able to get to a point of healing from all that hurt and broke you. All the best on your journey!
