I am going to watch it for the 49th time now. Top 5 film for me. I wrote about the last scene in The Medium. “Warriors: a top 5 film”, by Julian - in case anyone reads more that Edgerton pretends to. Edgerton writes, produces, directs… him and his brother Nash are a force. Edgerton’s underplays deliberately so doesn’t steal the accolades, and Tommy is the beating heart of the movie, but everyone was superb. Nolte’s best since the similarly criminally overlooked The Good Thief. This movie was the logical Rocky for the current cinema generation; better though. More layers, more emotion, more characters fully fleshed out. Unbelievable movie.
