The OG LX pro which has been the top of my stick list since Dec 2021 is retiring, but we are not very impressed with the stick that is replacing my OG king of this channel. The OG addresses its successor in his retirement press conference.

Your channel is a testament to the good old days of RU-vid. Potato cam, bad lighting, cheesy scripts, and of course... authenticity. 👍 Never change or forever be branded a shill/sellout. 😄

I actually love my LX2PRO and prefer it over my LX. I like the more traditional shaft personally, boring but functional. I feel the LX2PRO has more power than my LXPRO aswell. I feel that is where they made the sacrifice in this offering, release vs power with the slightly beefier taper. I cut my sticks quite short but use 75flex in both. I find the LX2PRO plays stiffer than the LXPRO. Maybe this is the spread tow weave change causing this effect after coming from unidirectional throughout. I always thought warriors flex felt lower than rated flex on their sticks compared to ccm and bauer until this stick. My 2c anyways.

I agree I really like the lx2 pro, I find the corners much easier to pick I feel the stick has been stabilised more! Accuracy has been improved. It is heavier but it’s so much more durable. I think you do have valid point in how it feels. Definitely does feel more traditional. The release has taken a slight step back but it’s much more stable and accurate. I still think it’s better than your scoring it. I’ve used the lxpro for a season and I have been using the lx2 pro for 3 months. I’m big defence man that takes a range of different shot from the point typically. The blade is really dampened.

Have both the LX pro in retail and some pro stock LX2 pro's in Kolesar specs and switch between the two. LX pro retail has a little better shot for sure, LX2 pro isn't quite up to snuff for release but the pro stock specs with different grip make it stick handle and receive passes better. Again not the retail so not 100% fair comparison but your review of retail mirrors mine, a step back for sure. Keep up the great work man!

Man, what a strange stick this was. I didn't mention this to you when I was in Langley, but I picked the LX2 Pro up and held it in my hands a couple months back. I remember thinking that it didn't feel anything like the LX Pro. It actually kinda felt like the Sherwood Legend, but I never got the chance to shoot with either, so I figured I'd just wait for you to weigh in on it. I'm keen on the AS6 Pro stick coming out, as you know I'm a Tacks guy. I'm gonna guess it's not gonna be too much different than my ASV Pro, but you never know. As you just showed with the LX2 Pro. Great job as usual. I've been pretty busy getting my daughter into school and am now the assistant coach of her hockey team, but hope to get some content out soon.

I went to monkey sports to buy the new FT Ghost and held the LX2 Pro and LX Pro back to back and the LX2 looks better with that extra color but it felt heavier and not as comfortable as the LX Pros I have. I have 5-6 LX Pros atm and plan on buying another 3-5 in the next couple months. They’re durable af, and the shots are just amazing. I’ve used my 110 flex LX Pro in over 100 games and it’s perfectly fine. Even the lower flex ones are looking and feeling great after close to a dozen games and I play really competitive hockey. I will say the FT Ghost feel really good and the shot is also really good. I want to buy a couple more but I hate paying $350 a stick when I can get LX Pros for $100 shipped to my door from my connection in Indiana.

I normally love your reviews, but to be totally honest I think you went off the rails with this one. And in all fairness it’s probably a result of loving the predecessor and the new one feels so different to you in a bad way. I’d like to offer some opposing viewpoints. I’m 100% sure warrior tested this stick against its predecessor, but I’m also sure they had pro players testing it. Those guys are gonna have a much better shot AND be willing to put a lot more into their shot all the time than beer league players like us will be. As for design intent, it truly may have been a decision for this stick to provide more power on a shot for the sacrifice of more effort. I also know you typically use 75 flex for the majority of your sticks. Since this stick is heavier, the wall thickness of the stick will be thicker. Meaning 75 flex won’t feel the same on the lx pro as the lx2 pro. Maybe you should try the lx2 pro in a 65 and see how that feels. I know it seems low but flex can make a stick feel drastically different. You also skipped over the puck feel of the stick in this review. (stick handling/passing) You could be 100% right and the stick might just completely suck, but I think there’s other factors at play that have been glossed over as a result of being quite different compared to its predecessor. (PS: Lighter is not always better and 30-40g isn’t that big of a deal at the end of the day)
@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews
@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews 11 месяцев назад
Appreciate the constructive feedback. For me sticks need to give more than you put in at the price point and the tech at this point needs to provide a certain “feel” to be comparable to the rest in the feild and market. My biggest gripe as I said is this could be a blackout if it didn’t have paint based on its performance and at 400$ Canadian that just isn’t a good offering when you compare to its predecessor and other sticks on the market. There are plenty of sticks with this feel that are 200$ so didn’t really understand the intent. I can’t win em all or make everyone happy all the time unfortunately it’s just my experience I can portray and as this continues I’ll probably piss off more people as I go unfortunately. With that said I don’t disagree on the 65 flex comment that’s very much something I consider when sticks are heavier to see if it changes. I did not get the chance since this was very durable and didnt break during testing in the warranty
