You zinged me off the shoulder in my hyperlite2 chesty without any issue what so ever, then a weak floater wrister hits me in the forearm with that chesty and im black and blue haha , cant win with retail gear, need full custom made for you. *cough slr4, cough*
Have you tried any Passau Pro Pack chesties lately? I love mine and end up back at Passau every time I try something new (which is often lol). I've recently been in a European style Bauer Pro Series, Hyperlite old gen, Ultrasonic, Mach, Warrior RX3 Pro+, Mark One Pro chests. End right back up at my trusty Passau Pro Pack lol. They are just so comfy for me and I really never get any stingers in them. With all the others mentioned they seem to lack in one annoying area or another and just puts me off of them. I really like a chesty to look large as I'm a smaller guy so as the time has gone on and chest protectors seem to be getting more form fitting to fit NHL guidelines that becomes harder to find for me. I will say my Passau is heavier than basically every other chest I listed that I've tried but it doesn't bother me since my main thing with a chesty is protection and mobility.
I've had bad experiences trying Passau multiple times after so much positive feedback, so I can't bring myself to buy their Pro Pack and regret the purchase like I did with my Kenesky chest. I've also had a few people reach out about issues on the arms for the Passau chest, which doesn't help sway me 😬
@@HockeyReviews Interesting, I will say I've had no issues on the arms of either of my units and my oldest Passau Pro Pack is like 7 years old now. I play in A and B level beer leagues against ex and current pros/college kids. I got hurt more in brand new Bauer stuff than I did my 7 year old Passau. Wish they'd send you a demo unit to try. Hell I'd even send you my new one with 3 skates on it to try but it's a medium. I don't play until September again so wouldn't bother me to go without it a bit.
How do you find the center portion of the body? When I tried this on in the store it feels very stiff and made it difficult to cradle my arms in front of me. Does that break in?
I don't have issues with it getting in the way at all, there are velcro pieces where the floaters attach on the body that might have to be adjusted to make it better?
Amazing with the equipment these days that shooters can still find away to zing ya. Seemed like the Tartans had a lot of zone time despite being short bench, great job holding the fort.
