Man.. you can’t even imagine how much this game mean to me and my memories of child hood. That was a master piece which I was glad to adventure in my best life period. This music bring the best memories.. thanks
I’m a game developer and I’m planning and prepare a remake of this game. But it’s a lot of work. I want to create a combined story: two games in one, two thrones and warrior within and the story of the prince will start in Babylon, with open world game sequence where he lives and he will collect resources and see men, hire the crew, prepare the mission on ship. It will not start like original instantly in the sea, two stories combined in one , very detailed))😅😊
The way prince drew his swords made you feel like you are gonna break all hell loose when this music started playing in the background... the best one out of all the tracks.
Welcome Within is a hell of a music track. When you open the game, it sets the tone that you are out for pure survival, everything out there is going to kill you, even divine retribution is out for you.
I don't know who decided at the time to take a full 180 turn in term of artistic direction for the series, but goddamn was that an inspired move. Especially when it was backed up that hard in the music department.
@@schippes24 well yeah it's every where, people still shit on this game for being an edgy take on the disney style sands of time remake but i say it is a worthy sequel cause it's different in a good way. For example this time the island is a character of itself with the way it communicates to you in it's changing scenery and style
Remember that 7 or so years have passed between SOT and WW, so the Prince himself supposedly changed with time, especially cause the Dahaka was chasing him all that time@@MGrey-qb5xz
@@KinkyNothing that's not the problem , in ww persians were portrayed accurately. they are ruthless and demand honor, sands of time fans don't like that.
Sands of Time is iconic and very memorable, but Warrior Within is downright legendary for taking the concept and cranking it up by 11 with it's undisputed violence and anger. Warrior Within deserved better. 😞
@@EdrisArdeshin2301 well 2004-2005, Post grunge rain supreme. the dark gritty music definatly reflected the culture at the time. anyways game was awesome, I got it when when I was 15
This game was filled with unimaginable bangers. Stuart Chatwood can't imagine how much impact he had in shaping the musical tastes of children back then.
More than a decade since it's release and it doesn't matter with which other game's music you compare this to, it still stands strong. Some of the best OST to have ever been composed.
Welcome within!!! Man its 2024 and feels still fresh and amazing!!! Have never been able to get this music out of my head since the time i played this game. A beautiful blend of persian and rock
А что там со второй частью Beyond good and Evil? А, ну да... :)

This game..This game helped me through the toughest period of my life as a teenager. I had major issues then and this was the only game that helped me get over my issues and what i would do is block my thoughts playing this game completely and listening to it's music on repeat for hours, had become my self healing process. I finished this game from start to finish for over 40 times and each time i was competing with myself and last i remember, my completion time was 4 hours and 30 something minutes. It's safe to say that with time,i started getting better at my own snail's pace and decades later,i'm on my way to becoming a Consultant General Surgeon. This video popped out of no where a while back and has started influencing me in such a positive way since then. Ever since then, whenever i'm in OR or OT,i'm humming this OST and all the little internees would inquire about it and i would response in such a giddy manner.
Thank you for making this! The high frequencies no longer hurt my ears and unlike most remastering projects, you found a way to bring all the instrumental detail forward rather than the reverse.
this is the best music on an action game ive ever heard and i dont know why ubisoft doesnt use that technic again, best prince of persia, need a remaster
I had great pleasure seeing in comments this soundtrack bring backs childhood memorie to many people here like it does for me. This game and ps2 era PoP games will always have a special place in my hearth 🥺
For some reason, it feels like reviewers and general public seem to hate this “Godsmack” soundtrack. To me it blends oriental spirit and heavy music in an mystical and dark fairytale way that just pulls you through this story. Prince is basically chased by Death herself, it’s only fitting the sound design would reflect that. I skipped homework and sleep over this game back in the day, this one has a special place in my heart. Some of the modern metal bands, if you’re a careful listener, incorporate some derivatives from eastern music in their work. To me this sub genre has it’s place and right to exist
WW is another different game ... is most mature and serious... becuse was a different director ... for Two towers the director of first game came back and director for WW left the project ... that is why WW is a different game.
Para ser un cambio de música drástico con las arenas del tiempo, alma de un guerrero le dió en el clavo con esta composición de rock metal para la segunda entrega, y es la que más esta presente en mis recuerdos.
I think the modern DOOM games carry on the legacy of the Warrior Within soundtrack and do so with respect and love. Stuart Chatwood is an absolute legend for his work with the Prince of Persia trilogy and I feel blessed to have experienced them when I did.
Thanks for providing a link so I can download this masterpiece. Prince of Persia Trilogy marked my childhood, it helped growing my character, and listening to this soundtrack again brings more than just memories.
Every single one of these OSTs are so fucking good. So many good memories I have while playing the game. As a kid, I used to shit my pants whenever Dahaka chased me ffs xD
Well, we kinda have some info. A PoP sands of time remake is being discussed and although the project is being shifted around, it's reasonable to assume it can happen sooner or later. So...
i will never give up hoping ubisoft leaves this gem alone and doesnt throw shit on it any further, like disney does with star wars every prince of persia game after two thrones was pure garbage
@@saudude2174 reboot was kinda weird but forgotten sand is not a bad game it improved many things but was bad at combat for ubisoft i think only trilogy was planned but then they shifted to Assassin's creed
@@nakliwizard4830 i didnt like forgotten sands in any aspect, the gameplay was too easy and difficulties didnt change that. Story was cheap compared to the trilogy, characters had unpleasant looking models. Music wasnt memorable. The game was so short, i think it had 1/10 of the content warrior within had. Only bad memories for me.
Back when Ubisoft had balls and devs weren't afraid to make a man be manly. How much I loved cracking the necks of those sand monsters while the hottest riff played, damn
Man this game and soundtrack aged like fine wine. I liked Sands of Time since it was crunched and told a good story you could actually finish in one day if you got hooked but Warrior Within is still one of my favourite games after all. The setting feels much more fitting to a prince and this time and the story behind all of this is also completely based on the actions the prince took in the first game and is now suffering throughout the game because of this. People called this game edgy and stuff but honestly this is a much more realistic depiction and how Prince of Persia should have been conceived instead of another playable Disney fairytale feeling like the first game emitted. Ill always cherish those times playing this game back then and wish dearly for a remaster of any sorts. The music is just perfect. By the way "confrontation at the mechanical tower" kind of sounds like a Dynasty Warriors track by the middle of it with the guitar solo haha.
I haven't played the games in over a Decade but I remember a few things. I had a strategy guide for the 1st game. (D*mn that Sun-clock Puzzle!!! Ruining my Speed-runs!!!) I had the 2nd's too but I never needed it. I got it for the Artwork. (Lost both) I remember "Haka-lukia" & the 'bath scene'. Yeah. High-point of the game for-sure but I hated that you 'Lose the Princess' after that scene... I remember the Music of both, which were both unique. The 1st had a ton of Slow-Moments & Silent Ambience for the Parkour. You really FEEL & HEAR when you're running around on stuff. I remember the combat in 1 kicking my *** on harder difficulties as a kid. By 2, I had Speed-run 1 so much I knew all the 'flicks' of combat like summer-sault dodging over low-lvl enemies to stay mobile & chopping heads. Step 1: Run to wall. 2: Run up wall when enemy strikes or Parry. Jump ABOVE & BEHIND backflipping while chopping heads. Keep moving. Don't get cornered. Don't fight more then 3 at one time. Easier that way. The 1st two games were excellent. I appreciate the later games for their graphic designs (if nothing else) but I lost interest after 3. Played Two Sands. Once. My Favorite Evolution of the 2nd game was the 'Sand-Demon' (can't be bothered to look it up, paraphrasing here) that would limit your ability to 'camp' a good area for combat. Really kept you moving on!
Everyone thinks Sands of Time was this best, WW made the combat way more intuitive and the soundtrack/gore made the brutality shine through in the best way. This was definitely the best of the trilogy, and the other 2 are awesome too.
This sounds soooooooooo damn sick. I need the individual songs looped a couple times for a longer duration too. Especially some of those moments, you all know the ones... Bro, I'm about to install this game again!
Came across this while browsing through internet. This was my fav PoP game and made me feel very nostalgic. I'm kind of surprised how much of this soundtrack I still remember. Thanks for the remaster
Pure greatness... thanks for this remaster Man what a masterpiece of a game and soundtrack, we'll never have such quality in gaming again, the golden age is long gone
that's foolish to say that we won't be having anything good again. We have smth like Doom soundtrack, which everyone likes, and it was released a long after this game :D Also today's games are more well-thought, good-looking and nice to play overall.
@@Andrew_Renko You're right, there's many exceptional soundtracks released after this one But i think that there will never be another game like Warrior Within, it isn't possible due to current Ubisoft management and the state of the AAA gaming industry And for me yes the golden age of gaming is gone, i prefer 90s, 2000s and first half of 2010s games Today quality games are scarce and many studios don't respect the customer anymore, there's a few good surprises here and there (mainly from the indie scene) but in the 2000s there was multiple masterpieces released each month (working from the get go, no tons of gigabytes of patches to download, no season passes nor extreme ultimate editions at 150 bucks)
@@Blackbyrd96I feel the same way you do,good games come few and far between these days. Before they weren't developers they were artists today it's just a job for many.
