@@user-hj8oh9kh7v i guess shuten split orochi in two halfs between warrios orochi 2 and 3 (i mean for somehting in wo3 when you use orochi vs orochi x have special dialogue and all)
That line always reminded me of Persona 3, which is of course fresh in my mind thanks to the remake. Orochi is certainly more intimidating a character than Nyx, at least just in the games.
“I am Orochi, and yet I am not. I merely follow the will of this world to eliminate all that stands before me.” “I shall be the ultimate bearer of destruction...”
Just Some Guy without a Mustache :0 i dint know ur intrested in a musou type of game like this and sorry for just replying, i was a fan of the dynasty series.
Orochi's first theme, to me, says: "I have to fight, and I have the strength to win this." This one says: "I can't possibly defeat this enemy, but I'm going to try regardless."
@@moatezmoussi9751 most importantly, it did not have the ridiculous amount of bugs DW9 has...the only issues it had were some clunky UI-UX that's fixed with Ultimate's release
WO4U is the shet! It is the best out of all Warriors Orochi. The story was still good but 3 had a complicated one so story is for 3. but everything else is 4. HOWEVER I still don't like the fact I have to buy the BGM that I loved in 1 2 and 3
At best, Orochi can be called an *"anti-villain"*. A "villain" with ultimately good intentions and goals...ironic, I guess. He appeared to be a truly evil bastard to his enemies (that is what he intended to appear as), but his *actual* goal was to test humanity. He wanted to, in his own way, prove that humans have enormous potential. :D That's why his musical themes sound oddly "heroic", if you ask me.
White Raven He was corrupted by an evil mirror which transformed him into Orochi. He was originally one of the Shenist gods. The "Mystic" General, Ying Liang.
Marinanor Indeed, I have the Ultimate version of this game for the PS4 and got up to the new part where Orochi's "human" form comes into the story. "Yinglong" was corrupted, but he's definitely *_not_* what I'd call a "complete monster" or even a true villain. ^ "Anti-villain" is a most accurate term to describe what Yinglong's character is like, now that he has been changed into Orochi.
White Raven Not saying he's evil, just that, if he's just "Orochi" he is a villain, sacrificing lives just to experiment with Asian Teacher style lessons.
Marinanor From the perspective of the humans fighting him, he is a villain. That's exactly what he wants from them. Orochi wanted to give humanity a reason to fight him, to test their might and grow even stronger.
White Raven That's my point. Asian Teacher of the Gods, is still a disciplinarian jack boot with good intentions. As Ying Liang he can probably teach better lessons than Orochi.
orochi x theme is like heroic i know he is the villain thats what people saw him as a enemy but what i think is orochi is just trying to test human potential so yeah i do know what orochi true intention is but his intention give him death thoughts he is the ultimate anti-villian in the world this theme suits him better!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is kind of badass and heroic when you think about it. Orochi always was like a Nietzschen Uberman for me, ''fuck the rules, the world, the other gods, and the humans, i want the most epic dead ever or else i will destroy everytingh''
OROCHI WE WILL SHOW YOU OUR INFINITE Pontencial get ready for your epic death ever this theme is so badass for orochi he just want to test human power thats all
In a twisted way, Orochi is a hero - i don't remember exactly who, but someone said that Orochi created that world so that the greatest heroes could live together...IF they were worthy and powerful enough to inherit!
Warriors Orochi 3 is by far, the best of all of them. Best story, music, levels, character additions, and character balancing. Just my opinion, but hey.
not many people are into hack/slash games, it's a pretty niche game concept. Hence why they don't change the formula too much and almost all of the games "looks the same" gameplaywise.
@@devtec31 I get it, but they need to sell it as much as possible in the hopes of continuing with the ip, being niche is good and bad for this purpouses. I love these games, but i still understand they're not for everyone.
+Orochi x (There were movies?) And yeah, I think I prefer Orochi over Orochi X, but all in all they are both the same character just different sides to the coin, the Yin and Yang if you will, Orochi X brings about destruction to breed Orochi's creation.
I actually have a deeper theory about the Orochi in this series... If you've played WO3 up to the point you face 8 Orochis at once (yes, 8 Orochis), pay attention to what it is they're saying... All of it, including an exchange between him and Kiyomori in Wei's WO2 story, points to Orochi desiring peace in death. However, I theorize that the 'god' in him wouldn't allow him to simply keel over and die by his own hand, hence gathering the Dynasty and Samurai warriors to kill him.
This was a good game back then and new one is nice too but the finale battle song in 4 is ok to me IMO I'd say this is the better one The start captures a hopelessness And then as it gets to it peak it truly give the feeling of like its either now or never
Epic fight that i need to see for orochi 4... Orochi vs nightmare from soul calibur Sophitia from soul.calibur was in orochi come on koei make it happen ;)
bacon Yep, Im bit disappointed they picked Sophitia from Soul Calibur series. Nightmare would have been much better pick in my opinion. Thinking about the style of Warriors series overall, Nightmare would fit much better into hack'n'slash type of game with his abilities. Or maybe even Algol, but after all, no Sophitia ^^' And just to mention, I do like Sophitia, I just think she was wrong character for this kind of game XD
I can very much see the different videogame and anime references in the orochi series. Orochi is basically akuma from street fighter. He even has a shin form as you see here. Shoot, he even does the Shun goku satsu as one of his Musou attacks. Another reference is sun wukongs alternate outfit that matches Goku from Dragon Ball. ( and yes they are pretty much the same since Goku is wukongs other name)
Because there is a 2nd Orochi game JP named "無双Orochi 魔王再臨" (Musou Orochi:Devil back again) but the American/UK named "Warriors Orochi 2". When there is a game named "Musou Orochi 2" in JP, the American/UK named it "Warriors Orochi 3".
