Warsaw Chopin Airport Transfer | Non Schengen Passengers | Poland

For travel between Mumbai and London by LOT Polish Airlines, we get airport transfer at Warsaw Chopin International Airport. As the transfer is between the two non-schengen countries, here is a walk-in video from the flight towards the assigned gate. The passenger friendly transfer to transit area takes around 10-15 minutes including security check. Thanks for watching, liking and sharing the video!

hi. I am travelling from France to Georgia thru this airport. I have a valid schengen visa. connecting hours would be around 10 hours. Can I step out and go to the city and come back later for my onward flight to georgia? LoT airlines. which side i have to go?

You need to exit from the Schengen side. There are exit signs once you enter the transit area.

LOT and Luftansa have code sharing. So, I guess the checked baggage will be transferred by the airlines. Request you to please check with the airlines. Also, your hand baggage will go through security checks while transferring. Service was excellent!

Yes. It is very easy to navigate through the airport with signages provided in English and Polish languages everywhere. All the officials were speaking in English while transferring.

As long as you are travelling from a Non-Schengen country to a Non-Schengen country and transiting through Poland within 24 hours (not leaving the transit area), you do not require a transit visa. Hi! If you are travelling from Dubai and flying to a Schengen country from Warsaw then you need to follow the Schengen gate sign which is to the opposite side of the Non-Schengen gate. You can check that sign in the video. Unfortunately, I do not have a video for Schengen gate transfers. For most of the transfers, 45 mins are enough.

There is only security check. No passport control for transiting non-Schengen passengers. It usually takes around 15 mins on non rush days.

No. Thankfully Poland does not require transit visa but you need to keep a watch on their official government website for latest update for any changes.

Yes. You do have a security check. From my experience, it took me around 20 mins from the aircraft to the transit area (my assigned gate) including security check.

If you have booked a flight from Bucharest to New Delhi and the stopover is at Warsaw then the airline will take care of your transfer and you don’t have to worry about time. 50 mins layover is usually fine.

If your tickets are booked from Bucharest to New Delhi by the airline then they will take care of your transfers. Either your connecting flight will be delayed or you will be put on another flight. Hope things are clear now.

On an average, it takes around 15 mins to move from flight to gate. So 35 mins is good enough. And if you have your connecting flights with the same airline then you need not bother since the airline knows the transfer time.
