very helpful as I just started. If you start with region locked, do you recommend picking up the additional party members early game, or grow your base party of four to a higher level and then pickup new members? Related question, I saw that some of these use advanced classes which I haven't unlocked, did you respec these characters or did you wait until unlocked and then add a new character? Thanks for tips and things to think on!

Hi Kevin, I would try to get the new characters at the start of the game, that way you minimize the difference in xp that they are having. As for the specializations, just respec once you unlock the ones that you want. Keep in mind with every character that you are hiring, you also increase the enemy count :)

In my experience quantity isn't as important as competence is. Try to get your base professions in order as soon as possible because some will take a bit to level up. For me a dedicated cook,tinkerer, blacksmith and alchemist are a essential aswell as a miner which will get you rimsteel and etherite at higher levels which are needed for better armor and weapons. The other professions aren't as important exept for a dedicated scholar who can speed up your knowledge gains and faster artifact unlocks.

@@QuynhNguyen-jj7qf It doesn't, he probably just misread. The only thing scaling with your party size is how many enemies you face at the start of combat. The AI won't flood you with 12 enemies all at once if you have only 4 dudes. Maximum I've seen was 9 with the others coming in the next rounds.

@Syken I see you pick thick skinned trait, is that trait good ? also if my guard above 80%, does it count the extra for defend from behind since these who are attack me from behind ignore 50% of my guard. I always pick tank member for my party any advice on profession for each of them ?

The trait is okay, specifically for leveling, when you haven't reached maximum guard yet. The hard cap is 80% and 40% from behind, so no upgrading on that part. I suggest you look at the party guide that I created, I go over the professions and how I attribute them in this video :) Let me know if you have any questions afterwards.

@@SykenPlays I always using many 1h weapon guys to engage combat, then using strategist ranger at the end of the round, using protector swordmand and sentinel warrior to gain even more damg reduction and Attack oppotunity for plus one attack in the next round. I know it's not the best strategy but I love having many tank to play safe :) I have one more question, will I have enough knowledge points for everything ? because there are a lot to spend on recipies and cookings

try cutthroat, and upgrade his skills, play through some fights and you will know it’s very underrated.

cutthroat has been nerfed massively over the years .. I remember about a year and a half ago I was oneshotting pmuch anyone with it above level 5 and now it barely does anything ... same as the knife throw, it tickles now unlike before

Could I just ask why you chose your tanks as Captain and Lieutenant? I get the ranger as the other Lt since they can zoom around and use their skill on anyone, but the isn't it hard to get the Captain skill of with a lot of people around when they're a tank?

As for the captain (the one that gets to pull the trigger on the additional valor points), that is typically my ranger, because it is a bonus skill and will trigger knifes in case I ever need it. Plus they have a huge mobility, which makes positioning very simple. The lieutenants are typically the tanks or one of the archers that stand behind them. That way you can make sure that at least one of the tanks gets the order buff, which is needed to get a lot of valor :)

It is still unlimited, although I am not sure how well a PC is going to handle a large party.

Does it work to aim early to this build/s?! You have very good equip, so you do a ton of dmg... I didnt play since 1 year and wanna start again ^^ I did really like the "area cover" skills of the archer and the spearmen to interrupt enemies. My team "just" did work as a team, in your example everyone of your team is a beast, hm ^^

I suggest you give the builds a try, they work from level 1 onwards and typically perform quite well.

@@SykenPlays Isnt so easy, you dont show everything for every char and your build guides are different for some. For example the Fighter: You have 2h builds in the old guide. I started by using just this guide and Iam not sure, if you skilled Constitution after Movement and 15 Willpower or Strengh, as in the old guide. And you have so much Critical Hit on your Fighter - thats just by all the extra boni? Did you just skill movement > willpower -> strenght?

Iam quite done most of the content, just half of the DLC area is left... Still struggling to find that Great Axe and cant find anything with Google, the biggest item database doesnt have it... Its probably a DLC weapon?

Ups, comment was from yesterday, didnt send it :D I just found "Neptis Axe", that seems to be a very good axe, too. AoE attack and quite good debuff effects. Its 1h, but decent dmg and a shield might add some good build options... *hmmm*

Zoey is in the Spearman part and is a 2nd archer... ^^ *edit* And looks equally build... But an Infantryman as 2nd archer would be fine, too. He has a build of that in another video, too :)
