Didn't know the 5 had a bigger body, was struggling undecided between a 4 and 5...I guess I'll see if I like the resonance and boom - which is the biggest reason I LOVE the sound of an acoustic bass!

Andy, what is the difference between the 3 alien versions? Besides the rubber around the he cut out, the cut away shape and wood colors on the back and the eq type?

That should also be great for New Mariachi, Tex-Mex or Tejano music.

Too buzzy with the bronze strings. I've heard in concert acoustic bass and they can rattle the stage if played and amped correctly. Great sound love them!!!

Why do the frets buzz so much?

Finally, a really good bassist making a demo for this product. Horrible tone. Needs flatwounds and a 15" cab.

When it comes to Mariachi or los tríos music, I would drop the thickest gauge string to a drop A.

Book matched? Nah.
