Hi, Its informative, I have a question while the bank checked for the second time, was it by asking pay slip or they did any anonymous checking.. £7000 which you paid additional is there any set percent for that or its banks discretion.. From Bristol
They asked for our payslips few days before our completion date. We had around 6 months time gap between our mortgage approval & completion date. The additional 7000 they asked is just the difference in our mortgage affordability based on Daison’s pay change, its not a set percentage.Hope that helps
There is no easy answer for this, It all depends on the market situation and forecasts, best thing is to get advise from mortgage advisor. We took 5 years fixed rate ( we didnt had an option for 10 yrs).
I think 280k your loan amount?so 900 pound monthly mortgage means whats intrest rate for your mortgage and how many years mortgage is that? I am also seching house. Thank you
@@SanDaisStories usually it is fixed rate only for 5 or 10 years. The rest of the mortgage term it would be floating. Are you sure about the 35years fixed. If yes it was a cracking move to lock it in.
Haha, I am not here for a debate guys. So you are saying you took only 80% mortgage with the help of help to buy scheme. Fair enough. Even if you took the lowest interest at that time which is 2.34( which was difficult to get unless you have an excellent credit history) you will be paying £1300 for 25 years for 300k mortgage. So you know why I was skeptical . Also help to buy has its disadvantages in the long run as you have mentioned in your video. Please do clarify my doubt
The 900 we pay is both Interest(40%) and Credit to capital(60%), Mortgage term is 35 years , so it will finish in 35 years if paid correctly, hope that makes sense.
