Dr. Neo Cortex: “Coming through!” (SCREAM) Dr. Neo Cortex: “Ladies...?” (SCREAM) Dr. Neo Cortex: “Excuse me, ma’am!” (SCREAM) Dr. Neo Cortex: “Are those real?” (SCREAM) Dr. Neo Cortex: “M O T H E R ? !“ Arguably one of the most memorable moments of the game, by FAR.
@@donut4730 they should also tweak the story and the character designs a bit too. The beginning is kinda stupid and the characters are ugly. They should just use the twinsanity designs
I'd love it if they gave the N'sane/Reignited treatment to Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity as a collection, call it like "Crash: The Lost Adventures" or something like that. Maybe even throw the first two GBA games in there as a bonus, I'd definitely buy that.
@@aland7234 I was lucky, just had to play THE WHOLE FUCKING ICEBERG LEVEL AGAIN, WITH THOSE FUCKING BATS, AND FUCKING CORTEX GLITCHING 90% OF THE TIME I THROWED HIM
Crash Twinsanity... Good times... I never knew it was rushed when I was a little boy I didn't even understood the story etc. I just played the game and it still was fun. It was the best game for me and if the game wasn't rushed... oh good I'm sure it would be the best game.
I remember getting so excited at that whole first boss fight as a kid, the roster of enemies showing up with the inclusion of CTR characters, then that mechabandicoot and the music. The part where the twins stole cortex’s brain and made him run around after it was one of the funniest things to me as a kid and is so nostalgic
If I could choose one game to get a remake, this would probably be it. The music is such a memorable divergence from the norms, I really enjoyed the gameplay, and even over 10 years later, there are still moments I get stuck in my head in the best way possible.
Twinsanity was one of my favorite games as a kid. I decided to play it again 2 years ago and I completely forgot how buggy and hard it is. I still enjoyed it a lot though.
I love how when I was a kid and played this it was so hard and now i look back at it and for example the Tikimon boss is such an easy and primitive boss but as a kid I literally wasted 27 lives on that. But I still remember literally all the notes of the music and I love it.... Anyway great video👍
It's unfortunate that the Twinsanity formula was never given a second chance. It had the right balance between trying new things and following the roots with the levels still being strictly linear but no longer being literal hallways.
Twinsanity was very gimmicky since it relied on Cortex for progression a lot and it focused too much on making you laugh with it's humor. The game feels like a spinoff and not a proper evolution of the OG games. Also the games linear way of progression is a lot more archaic than the 1st game considering you can't simply replay a level without retreading through other levels before it going thru the same setpieces and cutscenes again which is a drag. Sucks that there's no level select in it.
I'm happy the first review I've watched of Twinsanity was by a reviewer that enjoyed the game. I have nothing but fond memories of this game. The a capella music is so nostalgic and catchy, and most of the jokes between the characters landed for me which all together made this game one of my favorites from the series
I remember playing this game almost everyday after school in an after school hours care waiting for my parents to finish work and pick me up playing with friends switching the controller to the other person after every death, made me realise that for specific self imposed challenges this is actually a great game, definitely brings back nostalgia
Shoutouts to the music that plays during the final boss, Evil Twins. It's my favorite song in this whole franchise. (Do yourself a favor and look up remixes of that song too, there's a lot of good ones.)
Cortex's voice actor said his 2 preferred lines of this franchise are from this game: the "fish" scene and the "I've ruined the life of so many" as well 🤭
This game oozes charisma I was so submersed in the way it played and loved the dynamic that crash and cortex had, yeah it's really broken but it's still pure gold and I wish this style would be given another chance
dingodile boss battle music be like "do the cat, do the cat, do the cat, do the crikey" on repeat forever now don't get me wrong I absolutely love this song but just listen to it and tell me you aren't hearing this as well
died to the totem boss a bunch as a kid, finally beat him and touched his dead body- died. did that TWICE cuz apaprently it was hard for me to avoid touching it??? so yeah i never got past that
see this might be a bit controversial to say but on a Technical level, I would say no. the amount of bugs, the amount of glitches, the lack of sound effects in cutscenes and the unfinished story I cant lie and call this a good game. but do I still like it? yes a lot. the gameplay was fun, some of the levels had some great level design, the bosses are great, presentation is solid for the most part and the soundtrack is godlike. I hope one day they will release crash twinsanity with all of its missing content and fix the bugs and glitches with it being in hd as well.
The thing with the glitches is I were afflicted with most of them on my first playthrough. The glitches would eat up my lives to the point where I didn't want to explore because I didn't want to lose all my progress in the levels. The biggest issues I have all relate to how the game punishes the player for succumbing to its bugs. If you bug out and miss a gem on the snowboard levels, you have to reload that save and start the level over for another shot. If you game over or power off your console during a level, you lost all your progress for the level if you tried to save the game from the pause menu. If you touch the dead tiki boss, you died and had to fight it again. I can name many more glitches and issues that totally plagued my experience. It is a bad game. Great cosmetic design, but horrible mechanics
I loved this game! I hope they remake it with all the content that wasn't included in the final version. I think it was a cool evolution of the series, being able to explore areas to collect the crystals by solving puzzles is pretty good, and being rewarded with concept art was my favorite thing (I am an illustrator enthusiast, so getting these collectibles was a delight). And the music? OMG so amazing! I miss this game, i always found myself replaying it and it was never boring 😁
I played this game a lot as a kid and one thing that stuck to me thru all these years is the songs, i still sing to them once and then. Great video! Also i liked that the video was 30 minutes!
I absolutely loved twinsanity despite some glitches but as a kid those things weren't a big issue for me. Collecting those gems was some of the toughest platforming at times
If Aku Aku and Uka uka really went to the 10th dimension to confront the evil twins, then why is Aku Aku still protecting him on his way to the iceberg lab. Weird right?
Yeah I definitely was a huge opponent of this game when it came out because I found some of it a little difficult and because it was such a break from form. BUT... you’ve caused me to reconsider and actually try and play this game again. Same thing with Tag Team and Wrath of Cortex. LOVE the content! Excited for the next video! Don’t worry about the length either; I think the longer, the more entertaining!
WumpaLewis: Twinsanity was also a rushed game, it was originally going to be called Crash Bandicoot: Evolution with completely different gameplay and story, but they had to scrap the story while the game was already quite far into development due to it being too similar to the first Ratchet and Clank game. Wow, now that's something I didn't actually know...that's actually quite interesting! 🤔
the best glitch in this game is moving crash's head (with the camera sticker) right before a cutscene and it makes crash look to wherever he was looking before until the end of the cutscene
This game always gives me the most nostalgia, it was the last crash game i purchased and completed, the next one is crash 4 on pc this week...bring it on, quality review by the way.
Dude I remember playing this game for the first time, so hyped because I was a big fan of 1 and 2 already, and being super disappointed because it wasnt the same
I first played this game in a lan house for an hour and instantly fell in love with it! I bought it and played it to completion. Back in the day I didnt find it too short because some of the parts were too hard for me and I really loved its humour. I always thought the missing sound effects were a problem with my ps2 and not the game itself xD It would really be amazing if they remade the game and also added a couple of things like evilg coco or good cortex. Btw, a new crash bash game would also rock! Looking forward to your new review!
This game was my childhood tbh. Unfortunately I’m really bad at games, so I never finished it. I would really like to see a remake though, especially an extended version.
The second main title crash game i played and man love it.. Love to play as cortex, i am a boy who love pew pew stuff back in the day so playing as cortex using his ray gun is feel amazing Playing as nina and jumping around like Spiderman also quite cool back then The music is top notch in this game, especially walrus chase sequence and tiki boss. Sadly it's so quick to end, the bosses is quite forgettable When i remember this game i just remember dingodile and mecha bandicoot as the boss.. If they remake it and make it longer and explore the dimension more , let us meet good cortex and actually fight evil crash n coco. It's would be awesome
You do get a secret little video if you get 100% in this game, basically getting all the gems. Whether it's funny or not depends on the person watching it. Other than that, I like this game, I love the music and I wish they would've gotten more time to add in the cut content, it would've made this game even better and longer. If it gets remade in the future, I hope they can get most if not all of the cut content to appear in the remastered version, considering they have better resources and more time to make it.
Twinsanity was such a big revelation for me back in the day. My dad randomly picked this game up for me for PS2 and i played the shit out of it. I didn't remember it being so short, i think i sank 7 to 8 hours into it to collect all gems. Also it is semi-open world so the levels that you can repeat is for collecting missing gems which is quite useful if you progressed too far. I think you can even go back and forth between the islands and dark/light versions of dimensions, but i could be wrong. I remember doing a lot of backtracking to collect some gems i have missed and i was able to do that. I also was wondering when i was a kid that maybe it was my version of the game glitching that there was no sound effects. I just wish they finished the game. Truth is people aren't better at remaking the games lately, nor remastering them. Something breaks in the process ALWAYS. The crash remakes are much worse that originals for example. The controls are fucked, the input lag makes them unplayable. Crash doesn't connect to platforms well and he slides off the corners of some platforms. Its a mess. And i would opt for a remaster than a remake because if they remake it - they would re-design, remake and make the controls worse. I liked twinsanity for the amazing squash and stretch animations, fluidity of gameplay in silky smooth 60fps and the way crash controls. I loved the way how he tilted his head whenever you moved the camera. Little details like that. Not a single Crash game before or after that attempted to do things like this game did. They might have not finished the levels, but they NAILED the controls and the character responsiveness. Something that you can't say about most newer titles (Like Jedi Fallen Order, that game controls like trash). SO... If they ever remake it - they better keep the good things.
Though I prefer the classic style of crash games, I really enjoyed twinsanity. I thought the game was genuinely funny and the gameplay had enough variety to keep me interested
I absolutely love this game i had so much fun playing it , the sad part is when i got to the boat section it would crash or never get to the snow section i remmber looking at the tv for 30 minutes hopping that it would get there but it didn't ): Still i think this absolutely deserves a remake
It was the last S tier crash game , if I could go back to when I first played this game as a kid I would, soundtrack is so good, brings back sunny sunset days in my childhood, good times
My only complaint back in the day was that the final game was nothing like the Demo version I bought a demo disc of just to play at home, despite being closer to the original games. I was 8 at the time, "different from what I liked = bad" makes sense when you're young enough your IQ in Celsius wouldn't boil water.
If this game gets remade I really hope they implement the cut content, I’d love to see how this game would turn out if it was finished with the unused levels and cutscenes, in the final product there was tons of plot holes, and I thought is just say I love that scene we’re cortex breaks the 4th wall about the devs plans to travel to two dimensions instead of one.
Yeah my sister and I are big fan of the game, it's so funny and quite creative in so many ways, such a shame it didn't reach its potential, I'd love to see a remake of it
This video was very entertaining and interesting, liked & subbed! I played this as a kid on the ps2, and never really got that far, since my memory card was broken. I would've loved to get to Dingodile, i bet he'd be my favorite boss as well. Always liked the character and that music is just amazing.
Here's another idea for a new Crash game for a later future. I was thinking that they should make a legit free roaming Crash game. Let's be honest with ourselves, Twinsanity felt linear, Tag Team Racing had small levels, and Mind Over Mutant had a fixed camera. Anyway, in this Crash game you earn crystals by completing missions (kinda like in classic Spyro and Mario 64/Sunshine). Don't worry, gems and relics will exist in my idea. Gems are earned the same way, except you have explore the level and smash every box. Relics have a bit more variety, there are some relics that have you race against the clock from Point A to B (just like in the PS1 Crash games) and there are some that have you collecting items or defeating enemies in a certain time limit. I also think this Crash game needs a new gimmick. I was thinking that the developers should give Aku Aku a big role. Like I was thinking that they should give Aku Aku different types of powers and in order to get these powers, the player must break a special type of Aku Aku box with a picture of what ever power he'll grant Crash. For example, if Crash wants to use him as a hammer, the box will have a picture of Aku Aku and a hammer. The following Aku Aku powers I was thinking of are: Sledge hammer, skateboard, scuba diving gear, making platforms (kinda like Cloud Mario from Galaxy 2), boomerang, bazooka, sub zero spin (allows Crash to freeze enemies with his spin attack), and power slide (allows Crash to slide a longer distance, kinda like the super slide in N Tranced, except his slide attack leaves a fire trail). All these powers are temporary (so that it doesn't make Crash OP or the game too easy) and they will be useful in certain missions. Also I feel like they should make Aku Aku a playable character and have his own levels where Crash can't access them. I mean why not, like every videogame protagonist has their sidekick as a playable character: Luigi, Sparx, Kazooie, Tails, Daxter, Clank, etc. Oh I almost forgot, the plot. I feel like it should be a throwback to Crash Warped. I haven't gone too in depth with the story but I believe it should have something to do with time travel. I love Warped as much as everyone else, but I would really loved to explore these time periods as Crash. As for the bosses, I think there should be more than 5. This is my order: 1) Papu Papu: Present day 2) Tiny: Prehistoric Era 3) Dingodile: American Revolution Era 4) N-Gin: Pirate Era 5) Ripper Roo: Old West/Cowboy era 7) Koala Kong: Ancient Rome Era 8) Komodo Bros: Feudal Japanese Era 9) Nina: Medieval Era 10) N-Brio: World War 2 Era 11) N-Tropy: Present day 12) Cortex and Uka Uka: The distant future All bosses (except for Papu Papu and N-Tropy) will wear clothing based off of the time period their in. (Kinda like how in Super Mario Odyssey, everyone including bosses wears hats). As for the Cortex boss fight, he will obtain an Aku Aku box that gives Uka Uka the powers you obtained throughout the game and use them against you (kinda like in Super Mario 3D World where Bowser uses the kitty power up against you). Speaking of hats, that's another thing, Crash should also be able to unlock outfits from the time period he's in. Like if he's in the American Revolution era, his outfit will consist of a gray wig and a blue Colonist uniform. Or if he's in the Ancient Rome era, he will wear a toga, or if he's in the World War 2 era, then he will wear a US soldier uniform. Outfits can be unlocked by collecting voodoo dolls (similar to the ones seen in Titans and Mind Over Mutant), completing a certain portion of the game, or as DLC. Here are the following outfits: -Default Crash (Crash's iconic look, shirtless, fingerless gloves, and blue jeans) -Crash Bandistone (Collect 10 cavemen voodoo dolls in the Prehistoric Era) -Colonial Crash (Collect 10 colonist voodoo dolls in the American Revolution Era) -Captain Orange Beard (Collect 10 pirate voodoo dolls in the Pirate Era) -Marshall Bandicoot (Collect 10 deputy voodoo dolls in the Old West Era) -Crashius Bandicootus (Collect 10 toga voodoo dolls in the Ancient Rome Era) -This is BANDICOOT!!! (Collect 15 gladiator voodoo dolls in the Ancient Rome Era) -Crash Bandiku (Collect 10 ninja voodoo dolls in the Feudal Japanese Era) -Sir Crash-A-Lot (Collect 10 knight voodoo dolls in the Medieval Era) -King Crash (Collect 15 king voodoo dolls in the Medieval Era) -Sgt. Bandicoot (Collect 10 soldier voodoo dolls in the WW2 Era) -Crash Bandi-Bot (Collect 10 robot voodoo dolls in the Distant Future) -Crashazoid (Collect 15 alien voodoo dolls in the Distant Future) -Fake Crash skin (Find every location where Fake Crash is hiding [It's similar to finding him in the N Sane Trilogy]) -Evil Crash skin (Collect 20 Evil Crash voodoo dolls in N Sanity Island) -Spyro skin (Collect 50 Spyro Voodoo dolls throughout the game) -Crash of the Titans model skin (Complete 25% of the game) -Skylanders Imaginators model skin (Complete 50% of the game) -Crash Twinsanity model skin (Complete 75% of the game) -Crash Warped model skin (Complete 100% of the game) -Japanese Crash model skin (Collect all crystals) -Skeleton Crash (Halloween special) -Phantom Crash (Halloween special) -Vampire Crash (Halloween special) -Valentine Crash (Valentines special) -Santa Crash (Christmas special) -Frosty the Bandicoot (Christmas special) -Elf Crash (Christmas special) -Pilgrim Crash (Thanksgiving special) -Mariachi Crash (Cinco de Mayo special) -Patriotic Crash (4th of July special) -Athlete Crash (Super Bowl/NBA Finals/World Series/World Cup/Olympics special) -Leprechaun Crash (St. Patrick's Day special) -Carbon Crash skin (Find 20 Carbon Crash voodoo dolls in N Sanity Island) -Papu Papu skin (Defeat Papu Papu without taking damage) -Tiny skin (Defeat Tiny without taking damage) -Dingodile skin (Defeat Dingodile without taking damage) -N-Gin skin (Defeat N-Gin without taking damage) -Ripper Roo (Defeat Ripper Roo without taking damage) -Koala Kong (Defeat Koala Kong without taking damage) -Komodo Bros (Defeat the Komodo Bros without taking damage) -Nina (Defeat Nina without taking damage) -N-Brio skin (Defeat N-Brio without taking damage) -N-Tropy skin (Defeat N-Tropy without taking damage) -Cortex Skin (Defeat Cortex without taking damage) -Aku Aku skin (Complete all Aku Aku levels) -Uka Uka skin (Collect all gems and earn all platinum relics) -Coco skin (Complete all of Coco's missions) -Crunch skin (Complete all of Crunch's missions) -Platinum Crash (Earn platinum twice in every time trial) -Angel Crash (Die 1000 times) -Officer Crash ( [police uniform] DLC) -Agent Crash 007 (DLC) -Hippie Crash (DLC) -Gangsta Crash (DLC) -Biker Crash ( [from the motorcycle races from Crash Warped] DLC) -Jet Pack Crash (DLC) -Ripto skin (DLC) -Gnasty Gnorc skin (DLC) -Evil Twins skin (DLC) -Luxury Crash ( [millionaire suit] DLC) I did mention free roaming, so I feel like N Sanity Island should be the main hub world and there will be portals scattered throughout the island to send you to a certain time period. The layout of the island should be similar to what we've seen in Twinsanity, but bigger with massive landscapes and mountain peaks to explore. Some time portals cannot be accessed until you earn enough power crystals. Other portals will be out of reach until you unlocked one of Aku Aku's power up crates; For example, if a portal is inside a huge boulder, then you'll need the Aku Aku hammer to break the boulder and gain access; Or if the portal is underwater, then you'll need the Aku Aku scuba diving gear. Another thing, Crash's house will be accessible to the player. This was something that wasn't featured in Twinsanity, but was featured in Mind Over Mutant. The player can check their game progress, watch the cutscenes, view leader boards, concept art, and change outfits. Another thing I would love to see is Crash reacting to the weather. I know we've seen Crash shiver in cold environments in the N Sane Trilogy, but how about having Crash react to a hot, rainy, and windy environments as his idle animations; maybe even have Aku Aku react too, like have him click his teeth when it's cold or better yet, Crash uses him as a fan when it's hot. If Crash is alone in a hot environment, then just have him pant like a dog. If it's raining, then Crash's fur and blue jeans (or whatever outfit he's wearing) will be soaked wet; if he's over soaked, then he will shake off excess rain just like a dog (soaked clothes was something featured in games like Uncharted and GTA 5). If it's a windy environment, Crash's fur will move in the direction of the wind as well as he will put one arm in front of his face to shield his eyes. I mean we've seen Mario react to the weather in Super Mario Odyssey (depending on the level and what outfit you equip him). This feature isn't anything major, but it would be nice to see in the Bandicoot franchise. Now just because I say all of this, does not mean that I want my idea to be the next Crash of the Titans. Don't worry, Crash will still have Aku Aku as his health indicator and invincibility; and his classic spin, slide, and body slam, I'm just trying to give yall an idea that's similar to the classics, but at the same time giving yall an idea that could rival Super Mario Odyssey in terms of gameplay. After all, Crash needs a MAJOR comeback besides the Skylandars Imaginators and the N Sane Trilogy. Just saying. As for the title of the game, I think it should be called Crash Bandicoot: Masks Against Time. You know, because it focuses on time travel and Aku Aku having super powers
Crash Twinsanity was one of my childhood games and i think if they made a remake or remasterer of this game, in my opinion they should NOT change the music, because its one of my favorite things in the game
As a kid, I kinda wanted crash and Cortex to bring Dingodile with them after Boiler Room Doom. It wouldn’t really make to much sense and I don’t really know how he would help. But Dingodile’s my favorite and would’ve been cool.
Making Polar's appearance at Crash's Deathday Party even more confusing is that canonically, Nitro Kart takes place AFTER Twinsanity. (Crunch exists, so TWoC had to have happened already, but CNK can't take place before Twinsanity because Cortex and Uka Uka are still frozen.)
WumpaLewis: Although as we just saw from the fighting level they don't always get along. *shows Cortex slapping Crash's a*** *for a good four seconds* WumpaLewis: Moving on... I laughed so hard lol! 😂😂😂
When you mentioned polar’s appearance I immediately realized that he probably brought a baseball bat for the piñata thinking it was an actual party but I’m not sure
Fun fact that made me annoyed a bit, in the 10th dimension outside of the lair of the evil twins you can find the logo orb thing and it sends you to this weird room (probably unfinished) and when you go there you are trapped so you need to jump into a pit and due but it teleports you back to before you ride cortex and chase nina and evil crash, I barely got past that so I was mad
@@Mongoliantiger Not it isn't. And if you don't see the greatness in what they accomplished with the time they were given then you can go and stick to your Crash 1 2 and 3.
My two problems with the game: Not being able to see your own shadow when landing on a box, always over/undershooting it Even with Aku, the TNT and Nitro Boxes kill you
i have so many good memories of this game and it has always been one of my favorite crash game, but i think a lot of that has to do with the music because i haven't stopped humming it for a good ten years
my dream is a definitive edition of this game with all the issues and bugs removed, and be able to skip cutscenes, having to rewatch the same cutscenes 100 times over everytime you lost a life was infuriating
21:54 bro tou just said "IF THEY HAD MORE TIME" bro they had THRE YEARS for a ps2 game. I love that game dude but I think that the game would be longer if the depelovers were way better doing their job. Nice vid btw
