Boogie, you have already inspired me. I have watched you since 2011 and seeing your struggle has inspired me to lose 90lbs through diet and exercise. I am glad you got surgery since that's what you personally needed and I hope you continue to succeed.

You've been so positive through this whole process, even in the parts where it's been incredibly difficult for you, you've been realistic in what you want to/ can achieve. I'd say from watching these videos that the surgery was absolutely NOT a mistake. Keep on, keepin' on!
I respect that he acknowledges the gastric bypass as a last resort rather than encouraging people to jump right to that step. That's a well grounded perspective right there.

I lost my dad 5 years ago because he didn't take care of his body, despite his whole hearted fight. He looked into the surgery and choose not to.... If I could go back in time I would beg him to get hey his surgery. Boogie you did the right thing. I love you, fuck the haters

preston0808 Might be more actually. I've heard of people losing 59lbs of skin in his situation. Skin is very water saturated, so it's surprisingly heavy.
Sodas and shoving food into our mouths without taking time. And no exercising it's multifactorial. People want to pop a pill or have surgery it's our society. " the easy way out". .. lots of people carry soo much hurt around that they use food to comfort them with all of the chemicals and stuff that they put into liquid drinks to keep us hooked on them. Man, it's waaay bigger.

Lost 5KG by cutting all soda and replacing it with water. I also started walking home from the train station instead of taking the bus. I walk 7km to get home everyday and i am proud of myself. I am also proud of you! #LoveFromSweden
I stopped drinking fizzy drinks over ten years ago, dont drink alcohol and go on long walks with my dog, best shape ive been in a long long time. Congrats to you my friend :)
Well 7km is minimum to get home. I dont like taking time out of my day when i am home to go out so i rather do something that i am going to do anyway (get home).

There are so many people who do not understand that gastric surgery is a last ditch effort. They just don't get it and will not even try to understand. It's easier to ignore those people than try to make them see the truth.
MY GOD! The changes are not just noticeable, they are huge already! Just with your health and confidence improvements it proves the surgery was definitely the right choice.

I don't see why people question whether you are going to fail at this or not. you've already succeeded with losing 100lb but like you said there is still much more to be desired and hit even more goals that you see yourself hitting. i'm behind you 100%, not ever trying is failure. you are going at this and combating it in anyway you can. that's succeeding.

I got gastric bypass surgery 5 yrs ago, reached my goal in 10 months and has maintained it for 4 yrs. I ended up divorced (80% of gbs patient do) and I gotta say, best decision I ever made!!!! Keep up the good work my friend!!!

I would personally say for a man of your height if you can get it under 280 you are doing good. 250 would be amazing, I can't even imagine what you would look like at 250 and under.

Keep going Boogie! You know Im of average size (fairly skinny person) but I found myself being lazy during my jog today. Then I hear you say things like "I'll exercise as much as my body will allow me to" and I realize how fortunate I am, and it motivates me to do better.
I hope you achieve your goals! A friend of mine has been 280 - 300 pounds for many years of his life and then he turned his life around, started training and now he is below 200 pounds and is a different person and enjoys life so much more. I wish you the same luck and energy to achieve it!

Ruukasu that's still a choice and you don't need to get this surgery to get the same result. There are many choices out there so really it is up to which approach they are happy with.
Boogie, I just wanted to say that your videos are always so well-articulated and informative on this topic. Before I started watching your weightloss updates, I held a lot of negative views on larger people. I never considered what sort of trauma or problems they may have had to face in their life and how hard it can be to give up food because it is (unfortunately) necessary unlike cigarettes, alcohol, etc. It makes me realize how much I have taken for granted when it comes to my mental health, upbringing, and what I was taught about food as a child. You have truly opened my eyes and I will try to help others see the points you have taught on this channel. As always it is so wonderful to see you succeeding and feeling better with each update.
