The way you described it made me think of the garden of Eden, with a couple and forbidden knowledge with one (GoF/Adam) knowing it's forbidden and the other (Deshret/Eve) not understanding and being the one who is tempted. Phanes could have ties to the Serpent and The Second who Came with Heaven

The thing about Ishtaroth is that she cares for humanity, but lacks she lacks the capicity of understanding their emotions. She wants the best for them, but her actions seems either extreme or ambigous to describe them. However, while is the theory of GoF and Ishtaroth being the same person sounds interesing, there's few holes within it. First, the elements, Ishtaroth was time and wind, and GoF was water and plants. The Scarlet King most likely represented that type of mechanical knowledge, the futurism and math sciences. Seeing how undeterred he was from her wanings, GoF believed that Deshret could be the ONE that can discover and tear the veil of secrets that the Primordial and his Shades are hidding within Teyvat. She knew this could end killing them both. However, GoF decided to willing pass away because two reasons: 1) She was Seelie and falling in love means curse for her and her fellow Djiins --- because she grew to love Deshret, and the humans and Rukka. But that same love could end as punishment, therefore she decided to willing pass away from this world, so that bitterness could serve as a warning. 2) To escape from Celestia. She was the one who gave that Forbidden Knowledge and secrets to Deshret, GoF was aware that she was living on limited time before everything went crashing down. I am watching your old videos about Khaenri'ah. I want to share my theory about Khaenri'ah, Traveler and Sibling on information, what we have on this day from game. I am thinking a lot about Scaramouche/Wanderer words from archon quest, that travelers was summoned to this world by somebody wish and the sky answered. I am curious all the time, where Travelers was before it? Therefore here is my theory, which I put together from game info parts. As maybe you know Honkai Impact has project Arc. It is project where space ship was sent to space with human genomes on board to search for other plane free from Honkai. My theory is that Khaenri'ah nation was people from project Ark, who arrived to Teyvat and was created from human genome from ship (Art of Khemia?) I dont know at which point of timeline they arrived, but I suppose after falling of Primodial One and Enkanomya imprisoned underground. Second who came let people from space ship to live on Teyvat and create theirs own nation Khaenri'ah. But some people from project Arc decided to continue exploration of space and left planet. They left to people on planet some kind of communication device with space ship in case of need. Khaenri'ah nation was the most technologically advanced nation so far. From where they got this knowledge and technologies? Everything was fine some time. I dont know exactly what happened. Maybe people from Khaenri'ah broke some kind of seal by making excavations underground, with which Primodial One sealed away energy like Honkai, but for Teyvat it was Abyssal or Marana. They understood that they let out disaster with which they could not deal with. Therefore they asked for help for space ship via communicator, but space ship was very far from planet and it is takes time to get back. Meantime people from Khaenri'ah was turned into Abyssal monsters because of this energy, Abyssal energy corrupted Irminsul and Riftwolf was born from Abyssal energy. Celestia was forced to kill all those people to be able to stop spreading of Abyssal energy and somehow hold Abyssal energy. Some of cursed Khaenri'ah people was able to escape and formed Abyssal order. After unknown time when space ship arrived near Teyvat, they sent two scouts to planet - Traveler and Sibling. This is point where our story starting. This is reason why Sibling thinking that Khaenri'ah is her/his homeland because it was nation from ancestors of her/his space ship.

I think that Istaroth didn't knowingly betray Deshret , since Istaroth finds humans amusing, she may not have a complete understanding of human emotions and she seems way more practical than emotional, it may have been that Istaroth thought that since Deshret liked her so much , she must give him something in return , maybe she didn't understand love and hence opted for the Forbidden Knowledge which unknowingly led to the End of Her and Deshret's Civilization

I am pretty certain he is alive and also won over the second who came. -> Circlet of the Flowers of Paradise set tells us that P. In the Timefrozen zone we have the names of Rukkha, King deshret and Goddess of flowers on the seats [sorry cant remember what name was on the seat of Goddes of flowers] Also the Voice at the end of sumeru archon quest [the scaramouch one] we here a voice its Cn voice actor is the same as durandal from Honkai, I actually believe that this is Istaroth bcd it had to be a descender, otherwise she would not remember what happened to scara.
