This is the second episode in a series about the historical evidence on Jesus and if it gives us good reason to accept him as the Messiah.
In this episode, learn:
1. Why Jesus's resurrection proves that he is a true prophet and the Messiah, according to criteria in the Torah.
2. The widely agreed-upon facts around Jesus's death and resurrection

Yeshua was not a false prophet, Muhammad on the other hand…

I think the biggest reason is that they don't want to lose their identity and believing in Jesus makes them think its one or the other.

What does it matter in the end? Were his teaching not enough to follow him?

Because that won't make the fear needed to control people. Jews for Judaism has many videos on this, but since there are 2.4 billion Christians' and 14 million Jews, AND Jews don't evangelize (only in response to missionaries headhunting them) it's no wonder they get drowned out. How do I know who prophesized who? One place says pierced hands and feet. In a crucifixion they pierce your wrists not you hands. You can apply these to Lincoln. Humble man, not much to look at. Despised by his own people (lost many elections in his home state). A suffering servant (he had depression AND he was a public servant). Pierced (by a bullet) for our inequities. Saved many. Etc. And they all know about the casting lots for clothes and a "rich man's" tomb, so why wouldn't the writers add those parts? So much does not fit, people like Bart Ehram write whole books on it. People can and will believe anything, period. But don't tell me it's a perfect fit.. Jesus was not despised from the beginning, he was very popular. He was not "crushed". He did not fit the requirements of the Messiah, no peace on earth, all Jews returning to Isreal. Blood sacrifices had to be on the alter and were only for unintentional sins. The Messiah is never mentioned as one to be killed or sacrificed for atonement. It's confirmation bias, but notice the two religions taking over the whole world. They have two things, an intent to take over the world (unlike Hinduism or Judaisam, etc) AND a threat of God throwing you into fire. Have you seen the mafia movie where the guy asks the Mafia boss, which is better from his gang, respect or fear. He says fear lasts longer. Religions based on threats calling themselves love, that doesn't sit well with me. It's like an abusive husband telling his wife he only beats her because he loves her.

Jesus is the Messiah, proven by the fulfilled prophecies of the Torah but more importantly by his miracles and resurrection and ascension. Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life. And yes, Mohammed was a false prophet. Read about the horrible evils he did in his personal life and his teachings. Jesus lived a sinless life and gave humanity the greatest gift of all time.
