Freaknik was started by students from DC that couldn't afford to go home for spring break that attended Morehouse, Spelman, Clark, and Morris Brown. They hosted a picnic in the Park and it grew to what we know it today.

Freaknik was held at the park with mostly AUC students. I was there at Morehouse from 88-93. From 88-90 it was a more organic atmosphere. Then it became commercialized by out of towners and this is when it got out of hand and blew up. They lost there freaking minds.

But joe budden was right when he said Hulu is the wrong people to put this documentary out.
